Description

열가소성 수지 조성물
열가소성 수지 조성물에 관한 것이다.
폴리카보네이트 수지는 내열성 및 투명성이 우수하여 전기전자 제품 외장재, 자동차 부품 등 그 활용범위가 날로 증가하고 있다. 또한 노치 충격강도와 가공성을 향상시키기 위해 폴리카보네이트 수지는 스티렌 함유 공중합체와 블렌드하여 사용되고 있다.
특히 고무변성 스티렌계 공중합체 수지는 가공성이 양호하고 충격강도가 우수하고 외관이 우수하기 때문에 폴리카보네이트 수지와 블렌드 하여 전기 전자제품 등에 많이 사용되고 있다.
PC/ABS 블렌드에 내화학성을 높이기 위해 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트와 같은 내화학성을 가지는 다른 수지를 블렌드하는 기술이 개발되었다. 그러나, 이와 같이 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트와 같은 수지를 블렌드할 경우 내열성 떨어져며 가수분해가 잘되어 수분이 많고 온도가 높은 곳에는 사용이 제한적인 단점이 있다.
또한 한국 특허공개 2007-0071446, 2009-0026359 및 2010-0022376에서는 내화학성을 가지는 다른 수지와의 블렌딩시켜 내화학성을 개선하는 방법을 제시하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 방법은 내화학성을 소폭 개선할 수는 있으나 그 효과가 미약하며 충격 특성이 저하되는 결과를 유발한다.
본 발명의 일 구현예는 저온 충격 강도가 향상됨과 동시에 내열도가 감소되지 않는 수지 조성물을 제공할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 구현예에서는, 열가소성 수지; 변성 폴리카보네이트; 및 디엔계 공중합체를 포함하는 열가소성 수지 조성물을 제공할 수 있다.
상기 변성 폴리카보네이트는 하기 화학식 2의 반복구조를 포함할 수 있다.

상기 열가소성 수지는 폴리카보네이트 수지, 고무 변성 비닐계 공중합체 수지, 폴리에스테르 수지, 폴리알킬(메타)아크릴레이트 수지, 폴리스티렌 수지, 폴리올레핀 수지 또는 이들의 조합일 수 있다.
상기 열가소성 수지는 폴리에스테르 수지일 수 있다.
상기 열가소성 수지는 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지일 수 있다.
상기 열가소성 수지 조성물은, 상기 열가소성 수지 및 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트 100 중량부에 대해 디엔계 공중합체 4 내지 15 중량부를 포함하고, 상기 열가소성 수지 및 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트 100 중량부는, 상기 열가소성 수지 30 내지 60중량%; 및 변성 폴리카보네이트 40 내지 70중량%를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 디엔계 공중합체는 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트 매트릭스 상에 존재할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 구현예는 저온 충격 강도가 향상됨과 동시에 내열도가 감소되지 않는 수지 조성물을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, 이와 함께 내화학성, 유동성 또는 난연성이 달성될 수 있다.
이를 이용하여 예를 들어 고충격 특성이 필요한 자동차용 범퍼, 다양한 전자 제품 등을 제조할 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명의 구현예를 상세히 설명하기로 한다. 다만, 이는 예시로서 제시되는 것으로, 이에 의해 본 발명이 제한되지는 않으며 본 발명은 후술할 청구항의 범주에 의해 정의될 뿐이다.
본 명세서에서 특별한 언급이 없는 한, "(메타)아크릴레이트"는 "아크릴레이트"와 "메타크릴레이트" 둘 다 가능함을 의미한다. 또한 "(메타)아크릴산 알킬 에스테르"는 "아크릴산 알킬 에스테르"와 "메타크릴산 알킬 에스테르" 둘 다 가능함을 의미하며, "(메타)아크릴산 에스테르"는 "아크릴산 에스테르"와 "메타크릴산 에스테르" 둘 다 가능함을 의미한다.
본 명세서에서 특별한 언급이 없는 한, 판상형 입자의 "평균입경"이란 "장경"을 의미하고, "장경"이란 폐곡선(closed curve)에서의 두 점을 연결한 선의 길이 중 가장 긴 길이를 의미하며, 이때 "폐곡선"이란 곡선 위의 한 점이 한 방향으로 움직여 다시 출발점으로 되돌아오는 곡선을 의미한다.
본 발명의 일 구현예에 따르면, 열가소성 수지; 변성 폴리카보네이트; 및 디엔계 공중합체를 포함하는 열가소성 수지 조성물을 제공한다.
상기 열가소성 수지는 후술하는 다양한 수지일 수 있으나, 예를 들어, 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지일 수 있다. 이러한 경우, 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지 및 변성 폴리카보네이트를 함께 포함하기 때문에 저온 충격 강도와 함께 내열도가 향상된 제품을 성형할 수 있게 된다.
상기 열가소성 수지 조성물은, 상기 열가소성 수지 및 변성 폴리카보네이트 100 중량부에 대해 디엔계 공중합체 4 내지 15 중량부를 포함하고, 상기 열가소성 수지 및 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트 100 중량부는, 상기 열가소성 수지 30 내지 60중량%; 및 변성 폴리카보네이트 40 내지 70중량%를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 범위를 만족하는 경우, 내열도가 우수하며 충격강도가 우수한 성형물을 제조할 수 있다.
상기 디엔계 공중합체는 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트 매트릭스 상에 존재할 수 있다.
상기 디엔계 공중합체는 충격 보강제일 수 있다. 이 경우, 충격에 약한 폴리카보네이트 매트릭스 상에 존재하여야 성형품의 충격 강도를 효과적으로 향상시킬 수 있다. 다양한 충격 보강제 중 폴리카보네이트 상에 존재할 수 있는 충격 보강제라면 본 발명의 일 구현예에 이용될 수 있다.
이하 상기 열가소성 수지 조성물에 포함되는 각 성분에 대하여 구체적으로 살펴본다.
열가소성 수지
상기 열가소성 수지로 공지된 열가소성 수지가 제한없이 사용될 수 있고, 예를 들어, 폴리카보네이트 수지, 고무 변성 비닐계 그라프트 공중합체 수지, 폴리에스테르 수지, 폴리알킬(메타)아크릴레이트 수지, 폴리스티렌 수지, 폴리올레핀 수지 또는 이들의 조합을 사용할 수 있다. 상기 열가소성 수지는 내충격성, 내열성, 굴곡특성, 인장특성 등의 기본 물성을 부여할 수 있다.
상기 폴리카보네이트 수지는 디페놀류와 포스겐, 할로겐 포르메이트, 탄산 에스테르 또는 이들의 조합과 반응시켜 제조될 수 있다.
상기 디페놀류의 구체적인 예로는, 히드로퀴논, 레조시놀, 4,4'-디히드록시디페닐, 2,2-비스(4-히드록시페닐)프로판('비스페놀-A'라고도 함), 2,4-비스(4-히드록시페닐)-2-메틸부탄, 비스(4-히드록시페닐)메탄, 1,1-비스(4-히드록시페닐)사이클로헥산, 2,2-비스(3-클로로-4-히드록시페닐)프로판, 2,2-비스(3,5-디메틸-4-히드록시페닐)프로판, 2,2-비스(3,5-디클로로-4-히드록시페닐)프로판, 2,2-비스(3,5-디브로모-4-히드록시페닐)프로판, 비스(4-히드록시페닐)술폭사이드, 비스(4-히드록시페닐)케톤, 비스(4-히드록시페닐)에테르 등을 들 수 있다. 이들 중에서 좋게는 2,2-비스(4-히드록시페닐)프로판, 2,2-비스(3,5-디클로로-4-히드록시페닐)프로판 또는 1,1-비스(4-히드록시페닐)사이클로헥산을 사용할 수 있으며, 더 좋게는 2,2-비스(4-히드록시페닐)프로판을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 폴리카보네이트 수지는 중량평균 분자량이 10,000 내지 200,000 g/mol인 것을 사용할 수 있으며, 구체적으로는 15,000 내지 80,000 g/mol인 것을 사용할 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
상기 폴리카보네이트 수지는 2종 이상의 디페놀류로부터 제조된 공중합체의 혼합물일 수도 있다. 또한 상기 폴리카보네이트 수지는 선형 폴리카보네이트 수지, 분지형(branched) 폴리카보네이트 수지, 폴리에스테르카보네이트 공중합체 수지 등을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 선형 폴리카보네이트 수지로는 비스페놀-A계 폴리카보네이트 수지 등을 들 수 있다. 상기 분지형 폴리카보네이트 수지로는 트리멜리틱 무수물, 트리멜리틱산 등과 같은 다관능성 방향족 화합물을 디페놀류 및 카보네이트와 반응시켜 제조한 것을 들 수 있다. 상기 다관능성 방향족 화합물은 분지형 폴리카보네이트 수지 총량에 대하여 0.05 내지 2 몰%로 포함될 수 있다. 상기 폴리에스테르카보네이트 공중합체 수지로는 이관능성 카르복실산을 디페놀류 및 카보네이트와 반응시켜 제조한 것을 들 수 있다. 이때 상기 카보네이트로는 디페닐카보네이트 등과 같은 디아릴카보네이트, 에틸렌 카보네이트 등을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 고무 변성 비닐계 그라프트 공중합체 수지는 비닐계 중합체 5 내지 95 중량%가 고무질 중합체 5 내지 95 중량%에 그라프트된 공중합체이다.
상기 고무질 중합체는 부타디엔 고무, 아크릴 고무, 에틸렌/프로필렌 고무, 스티렌/부타디엔 고무, 아크릴로니트릴/부타디엔 고무, 이소프렌 고무, 에틸렌-프로필렌-디엔의 삼원 공중합체(EPDM) 고무, 폴리오가노실록산/폴리알킬(메타)아크릴레이트 고무 복합체 또는 이들의 조합을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 비닐계 중합체는 방향족 비닐 단량체, 아크릴계 단량체, 헤테로 고리 단량체 또는 이들의 조합의 제1 비닐계 단량체 50 내지 95 중량%; 및 불포화 니트릴 단량체, 아크릴계 단량체, 헤테로 고리 단량체 또는 이들의 조합의 제2 비닐계 단량체 5 내지 50 중량%로 이루어진 중합체를 사용할 수 있다.
상기 방향족 비닐 단량체로는 스티렌, C1 내지 C10의 알킬 치환 스티렌, 할로겐 치환 스티렌 또는 이들의 조합을 사용할 수 있다. 상기 알킬 치환 스티렌의 구체적인 예로는 o-에틸 스티렌, m-에틸 스티렌, p-에틸 스티렌, α-메틸 스티렌 등을 들 수 있다.
상기 아크릴계 단량체로는 (메타)아크릴산 알킬 에스테르, (메타)아크릴산 에스테르 또는 이들의 조합인 것을 사용할 수 있다. 이때 상기 알킬은 C1 내지 C10의 알킬을 의미한다. 상기 (메타)아크릴산 알킬 에스테르의 구체적인 예로는 메틸(메타)아크릴레이트, 에틸(메타)아크릴레이트, 프로필(메타)아크릴레이트, 부틸(메타)아크릴레이트 등을 들 수 있으며, 이들 중에서 좋게는 메틸(메타)아크릴레이트가 사용될 수 있다. 또한 상기 (메타)아크릴산 에스테르의 구체적인 예로는 (메타)아크릴레이트 등을 들 수 있다.
상기 헤테로 고리 단량체로는 무수말레인산, 알킬 또는 페닐 N-치환 말레이미드 또는 이들의 조합인 것을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 불포화 니트릴 단량체로는 아크릴로니트릴, 메타크릴로니트릴, 에타크릴로니트릴 또는 이들의 조합인 것을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 고무 변성 비닐계 그라프트 공중합체 제조시 고무입자의 입경은 내충격성 및 성형물의 표면 특성을 향상시키기 위하여 0.05 내지 4 ㎛ 일 수 있으며, 상기 고무입자의 입경이 0.05 내지 4 ㎛인 경우 우수한 충격강도를 확보할 수 있다.
상기 고무 변성 비닐계 그라프트 공중합체는 단독 또는 이들의 2종 이상의 혼합물 형태로도 사용될 수 있다.
상기 고무 변성 비닐계 그라프트 공중합체의 구체적인 예로는 부타디엔 고무, 아크릴 고무 또는 스티렌/부타디엔 고무에 스티렌, 아크릴로니트릴 및 선택적으로 메틸(메타)아크릴레이트를 혼합물의 형태로 그라프트 공중합한 것을 들 수 있다.
상기 고무 변성 비닐계 그라프트 공중합체의 다른 구체적인 예로는 부타디엔 고무, 아크릴 고무 또는 스티렌/부타디엔 고무에 메틸(메타)아크릴레이트를 그라프트 공중합한 것을 들 수 있다.
상기 고무 변성 그라프트 공중합체의 더욱 구체적인 예로는 아크릴로니트릴-부타디엔-스티렌 그라프트 공중합체를 들 수 있다.
상기 고무 변성 비닐계 그라프트 공중합체를 제조하는 방법은 이 분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 이미 잘 알려져 있는 것으로서, 유화중합, 현탁중합, 용액중합 또는 괴상중합 중 어느 방법이나 사용할 수 있고, 구체적인 예로는 고무질 중합체의 존재 하에 전술한 방향족 비닐 단량체를 투입하여 중합 개시제를 사용하여 유화중합 또는 괴상중합시키는 것을 들 수 있다.
상기 폴리에스테르 수지는 방향족 폴리에스테르 수지로서, 테레프탈산 또는 테레프탈산 알킬 에스테르와 2 내지 10개의 탄소 원자를 갖는 글리콜 성분으로부터 용융 중합에 의하여 축중합된 수지를 사용할 수 있다. 이때 상기 알킬은 C1 내지 C10의 알킬을 의미한다.
상기 방향족 폴리에스테르 수지의 구체적인 예로는, 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지, 폴리트리메틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지, 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지, 폴리헥사메틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지, 폴리시클로헥산 디메틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지, 또는 이들 수지에 일부 다른 모노머를 혼합하여 비결정성으로 개질한 폴리에스테르 수지를 사용할 수 있으며, 이들 중에서 좋게는 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지, 폴리트리메틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지, 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지 및 비결정성 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지를 사용할 수 있으며, 더 좋게는 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지 및 폴리에틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지를 사용할 수 있다.
상기 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지는 1,4-부탄디올 단량체와 테레프탈산 또는 디메틸 테레프탈레이트 단량체를 직접 에스테르화 반응 또는 에스테르 교환반응을 하여 축중합된 중합체이다.
또한 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지의 충격강도를 높이기 위하여 상기 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지를 폴리테트라메틸렌글리콜(PTMG), 폴리에틸렌글리콜(PEG), 폴리프로필렌글리콜(PPG), 저분자량 지방족 폴리에스테르 또는 지방족 폴리아미드로 공중합하거나 충격 향상 성분을 블렌딩한 변성 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지로의 형태로 사용할 수도 있다.
상기 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지는 o-클로로 페놀 25℃로 측정시 고유점도[η]가 0.35 내지 1.5 ㎗/g 일 수 있으며, 구체적으로는 0.5 내지 1.3 ㎗/g 일 수 있다. 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지의 고유점도가 상기 범위 내인 경우 기계적 강도, 성형성 등이 우수하다.
상기 폴리알킬(메타)아크릴레이트 수지는 알킬(메타)아크릴레이트를 포함하는 원료 단량체를 현탁중합법, 괴상중합법, 유화중합법 등의 공지의 중합법에 의해 중합하여 수득될 수 있다.
상기 알킬(메타)아크릴레이트는 C1 내지 C10의 알킬기를 가지는 것으로서, 메틸(메타)아크릴레이트, 에틸(메타)아크릴레이트, 부틸(메타)아크릴레이트, 글리시딜(메타)아크릴레이트, 히드록시에틸(메타)아크릴레이트 등을 들 수 있다.
이때 상기 알킬(메타)아크릴레이트는 폴리알킬(메타)아크릴레이트 총량에 대하여 50 중량% 이상으로 포함될 수 있다.
상기 폴리알킬(메타)아크릴레이트는 중량 평균 분자량이 10,000 내지 200,000 g/mol의 범위를 가질 수 있으며, 구체적으로는 15,000 내지 150,000 g/mol의 범위를 가질 수 있다. 폴리알킬(메타)아크릴레이트의 중량평균 분자량이 상기 범위인 경우 내가수분해성, 내스크래치성, 가공성 등이 우수하다.
상기 폴리스티렌 수지는, 예를 들면, 충격강도를 보강한 고무변성 폴리스티렌 수지 (HIPS)를 사용할 수 있다.
상기 폴리올레핀 수지는 폴리 에틸렌 수지 (PE), 폴리 프로필렌 수지 (PP) 또는 이들의 공중합 형태의 수지 등을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 열가소성 수지는 2종 이상 혼합된 얼로이 형태로도 사용될 수 있고, 이러한 예로서, 폴리카보네이트, 아크릴로니트릴-부타디엔-스티렌 그라프트 수지(ABS) 및 스티렌-아크릴로니트릴 공중합 수지(SAN)의 혼합물; 또는 폴리카보네이트, 아크릴레이트-스티렌-아크릴로니트릴 그라프트 수지(ASA) 및 스티렌-아크릴로니트릴 공중합 수지(SAN)의 혼합물을 사용하는 경우일 수 있다.

상기 화학식 1-1의 예로는 2,2-비스-(4-히드록시페닐)-프로판, 2,2-비스-(3,5-디메틸-4-히드록시페닐)-프로판, 2,2-비스-(3,5-디이소프로필-4-히드록시페닐)-프로판 등이 있으며, 이중 바람직하게는 비스페놀-A라고도 불리는 2,2-비스-(4-히드록시페닐)-프로판이다.
상기 화학식 2-1의 예로는 4,4'-비페놀, 2,2'-디메틸 4,4'-비페닐디올, 3,3-디메틸 4,4-디하이드록시 비페닐, 2,2',6,6',-테트라메틸-4,4'-비페놀 등이 있다. 이중 바람직하게는 4,4'-비페놀이다.
구체예에서는 상기 화학식 1-1 및 상기 화학식 2-1의 몰비가 40 내지 95 mol%: 5 내지 60 mol%일 수 있다. 상기 범위에서 충격강도, 내화학성 및 유동성의 물성 발란스를 얻을 수 있다. 상기 화학식 2-1의 함량이 60%이상이 되면 결정화가 일어나 중합을 할 수 없다.
상기 디아릴카보네이트로는 디페닐 카보네이트, 디토릴 카보네이트, 비스(클로로페닐) 카보네이트, m-크레실 카보네이트, 디나프틸카보네이트, 비스(디페닐) 카보네이트, 디에틸 카보네이트, 디메틸 카보네이트, 디부틸 카보네이트, 디시클로헥실 카보네이트 등을 들 수 있으며, 반드시 이에 제한되는 것은 아니다. 이들은 단독 또는 2종 이상 사용될 수 있으며, 이중 바람직하게는 디페닐 카보네이트이다.
본 발명의 구체예에서는 상기 상기 화학식 1-1 및 화학식 2-1의 디올계 화합물은 상기 디아릴카보네이트에 대하여 0.6 내지 1.0의 몰비, 바람직하게는 0.7 내지 0.9 의 몰비로 사용할 수 있다. 상기 범위에서 유동성, 충격강도 및 내화학성이 우수할 뿐만 아니라, 특히 우수한 내열성과 상온충격강도를 갖는다. 또한 낮은 굴절률을 확보할 수 있어 다른 수지와 블렌드시 우수한 상용성을 갖게 된다.
구체예에서는 상기 에스테르 교환 반응은 150 내지 300℃, 바람직하게는 160 내지 280℃, 더 바람직하게는 190 내지 260℃에서 감압 하에서 진행할 수 있다. 상기 온도범위에서 반응속도 및 부반응 감소에 있어 바람직하다.
또한, 상기 에스테르 교환 반응은 100 torr 이하, 예를 들면 75 torr 이하, 바람직하게는 30 torr 이하, 더 바람직하게는 1 torr 이하의 감압 조건에서 적어도 10분 이상, 바람직하게는 15 분 내지 24 시간, 더 바람직하게는 15분 내지 12 시간 진행하는 것이 반응속도 및 부반응 감소에 있어 바람직하다.
본 발명의 하나의 구체예에서는 160 내지 260℃의 반응 온도에서 약 2 내지 9시간 동안 반응시켜 변성 폴리카보네이트를 제조할 수 있다.
상기 에스테르 교환 반응은 알칼리 금속 및 알칼리 토금속 촉매의 존재하에서 수행될 수 있다. 상기 알칼리 금속 및 알칼리 토금속 촉매의 예로는 LiOH, NaOH, KOH 등이 있으며, 반드시 이에 제한되는 것은 아니다. 이들은 단독으로 사용하거나 2종 이상 혼합하여 사용될 수 있다. 상기 촉매의 함량은 사용되는 방향족 디히드록시 화합물의 양에 의해서 결정될 수 있다. 본 발명의 하나의 구체예에서는 방향족 디히드록시 화합물 1몰당 약 1ㅧ10-8 내지 1ㅧ10-3몰의 범위에서 사용될 수 있다. 상기 함량범위에서 충분한 반응성 및 부반응에 의한 부산물 생성이 최소화 되어 열안정성 및 색조안정성이 개선되는 효과가 나타날 수 있다.
바람직한 구체예에서 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트는 화학식 1(M1), 및 화학식 2(M2) 의 몰비가 하기 조건을 만족한다:
M1 ≥ M2
이 경우 내열성과 상온충격강도가 특히 우수하다.
상기 변성 폴리카보네이트는 기초수지를 구성할 수 있으며, 이로 인해 충격강도, 투명성, 내열성, 내화학성, 난연성 및 가공성의 물성 밸런스를 얻을 수 있다.
디엔계 공중합체
본 발명의 일 구현예에 사용된 디엔계 공중합체는 디엔계 코어-쉘 공중합체일 수 있다.
상기 디엔계 코어-쉘 공중합체는 탄소수 4 내지 6의 디엔계 고무 중에서 선택한 1종 이상을 중합한 후에 그라프팅 가능한 비닐계 단량체 중에서 선택한 1종 이상의 단량체를 고무에 그라프트 시켜 코어-쉘 구조를 만들었으며 고무 함량은 20 내지 90중량%일 수 있다.
상기 코어-쉘 공중합체의 쉘의 제조에 사용되는 비닐계 단량체는 방향족 비닐계 단량체, 시안화 비닐계 단량체, 아크릴산 에스테르 단량체 및 말레이미드 단량체로 이루어진 군으로부터 하나 이상의 것을 선택할 수 있다.
방향족 비닐계 단량체로는 스티렌, t-부틸스티렌, 알파메틸스티렌, p-메틸스티렌, 비닐톨루엔, 모노클로로스티렌, 디클로로스티렌, 디브로모스티렌, 에틸스티렌, 비닐나프탈렌, 디비닐벤젠 등을 사용할 수 있으며, 바람직하기로는 스티렌 또는 알파메틸스티렌을 사용하는 것이 좋다.
시안화 비닐계 단량체로는 아크릴로니트릴, 메타크릴로니트릴, 에타크릴로니트릴 등을 사용할 수 있으며, 바람직하기로는 아크릴로니트릴을 사용하는 것이 좋다.
아크릴산 에스테르 단량체로는 메틸메타크릴레이트, 2-에틸헥실메타크릴레이트, 메틸아크릴레이트, 에틸아크릴레이트, 부틸아크릴레이트, 그리시딜메타크릴레이트 등을 사용할 수 있으며, 바람직하기로는 메틸메타크릴레이트 또는 에틸아크릴레이트를 사용하는 것이 좋다.
말레이미드 단량체로는 말레이미드, N-메틸말레이미드, N-에틸말레이미드, N-부틸말레이미드, N-헥실말레이미드, N-디클로로헥실말레이미드, N-페닐말레이미드, N-트리말레이미드 등을 사용할 수 있으며, 바람직하기로는 말레이미드 또는 N-메틸말레이미드를 사용하는 것이 좋다.
기타 첨가제
상기 열가소성 수지 조성물은 항균제, 열안정제, 산화방지제, 이형제, 광안정제, 계면활성제, 커플링제, 가소제, 혼화제, 착색제, 안정제, 활제, 정전기방지제, 조색제, 방염제, 내후제, 자외선 흡수제, 자외선 차단제, 핵 형성제, 접착 조제, 점착제 또는 이들의 조합의 첨가제를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 산화방지제로는 페놀형, 포스파이트형 또는 티오에테르형 산화방지제를 사용할 수 있으며, 상기 이형제로는 불소 함유 중합체, 실리콘 오일, 스테아린산(stearic acid)의 금속염, 몬탄산(montanic acid)의 금속염, 몬탄산 에스테르 왁스 또는 폴리에틸렌 왁스를 사용할 수 있다. 또한 상기 내후제로는 벤조페논형, 벤조트리아졸형 또는 페닐트리아진형 내후제를 사용할 수 있고, 상기 착색제로는 염료 또는 안료를 사용할 수 있으며, 상기 자외선 차단제로는 이산화티타늄(TiO2) 또는 카본블랙을 사용할 수 있다. 또한 상기 핵 형성제로는 탈크 또는 클레이를 사용할 수 있다.
상기 첨가제는 상기 열가소성 수지 조성물의 물성을 저해하지 않는 범위 내에서 적절히 포함될 수 있으며, 구체적으로는 상기 열가소성 수지 조성물 100 중량부에 대하여 40 중량부 이하로 포함될 수 있으며, 더욱 구체적으로는 0.1 내지 30 중량부로 포함될 수 있다.
전술한 열가소성 수지 조성물은 수지 조성물을 제조하는 공지의 방법으로 제조할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 일 구현예에 따른 구성 성분과 기타 첨가제들을 동시에 혼합한 후에, 압출기 내에서 용융 압출하고 펠렛 형태로 제조할 수 있다.
또 다른 일 구현예에 따르면, 전술한 열가소성 수지 조성물을 성형하여 제조한 성형품을 제공한다. 즉, 상기 열가소성 수지 조성물을 이용하여 사출 성형, 블로우 성형, 압출 성형, 열 성형 등의 여러 가지 공정에 의해 성형품을 제조할 수 있다.
특히, 본 발명의 일 구현예는 저온 충격 강도가 향상됨과 동시에 내열도가 감소되지 않는 수지 조성물을 제공할 수 있으며, 이와 함께 내화학성, 유동성 또는 난연성이 달성될 수 있다.
이를 이용하여 예를 들어 고충격 특성이 필요한 자동차용 범퍼, 다양한 전자 제품 등을 제조할 수 있다
이하, 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 기재한다. 다만, 하기의 실시예는 본 발명의 바람직한 일 실시예일뿐, 본 발명이 하기 실시예에 의해 한정되는 것은 아니다.
실시예
하기 표 1과 같이 열가소성 수지 조성물을 제조하였다.

상기 표 1에서 사용된 각 구성에 대한 설명은 다음과 같다.
(A) 폴리카보네이트 수지
폴리 카보네이트 수지로서, 중량평균 분자량이 28,000 g/mol인 제일모직사의 SC-1080을 사용하였다.
(B) 폴리에스테르수지
폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지로서, 고유점도[η]가 1.2 ㎗/g 인 Shinkong 사의 DHK 011을 사용하였다.
(C) 변성 폴리카보네이트수지
2,2-비스(4-히드록시페닐)프로판(비스페놀 A) 2.25kg, 4,4'-비페닐 1.90kg, 디페닐카보네이트 4.35kg, KOH 150ppb(비스페놀 A 1mol 대비)를 반응기에 차례로 첨가한 후, 질소를 사용하여 반응기 내의 산소를 제거하였다. 반응기의 온도를 160℃로 올리고 190℃까지 다시 승온시켜 6시간 동안 반응시켰다. 6시간 후 반응기의 온도를 210℃까지 다시 승온한 후 100torr의 압력에서 1시간 유지하였다. 반응기의 온도를 260℃로 승온시키고 20torr의 압력에서 1시간 유지한 후 압력을 0.5torr까지 낮춰 1시간 유지하였다. 이후 용융 상태의 중합체를 펠렛타이저를 이용하여 펠렛화된 Biphenol 공중합 수지를 사용하였다.
(D) 충격보강제로, 평균 입경이 0.27㎛인 고무질 중합체 58 중량부에 스티렌 75 중량부 및 아크릴로니트릴 25 중량부를 통상의 방법으로 유화 그라프트 중합하여, 코어-쉘 구조의 g-ABS를 제조하여 사용하였다.
(E) 충격보강제로, MRC사의 Metablen C223-A를 사용하였다.
(F) 충격보강제로, MRC사의 Metablen S-2100를 사용하였다.
(G) 충격보강제로, SK chemical사의 SKYPEL G-155D를 사용하였다.
(H) 충격보강제로, Dupont사의 ELVALOY PTW를 사용하였다
실시예 1 내지 3 및 비교예 1 내지 4
상기에서 언급된 구성성분들을 이용하여 상기 표 1에 나타낸 조성으로 각 실시예 1 내지 3 및 비교예 1 내지 4에 따른 열가소성 수지 조성물을 제조한 뒤, 통상의 이축 압출기에서 240 내지 270℃의 온도범위로 압출한 후, 압출물을 펠렛 형태로 제조하였다. 표 1에서 (A), (B), (C)의 함량은 (A)+(B)+(C)= 100 중량%로 하여, 각 (A), (B), (C)의 함량을 중량% 단위로 기재하였고, (D), (E), (F), (G) 및 (H)는 상기 (A)+(B)+(C)= 100 중량부 대비 상대 함량(중량부)로 나타내었다.
상기 실시예 1 내지 3 및 비교예 1 내지 4에 따라 제조된 펠렛을 110℃에서 4 시간 동안 건조 후, 6 Oz의 사출능력이 있는 사출성형기를 사용하여, 실린더 온도 240 내지 270℃, 금형온도 60℃, 성형 사이클의 시간을 30초로 설정하고, ASTM 시험편을 사출 성형하여 물성 시편을 제조하였다.
제조된 시편의 물성 측정 결과는 하기 표 2와 같다.

상기 표 2를 통하여, 실시예 1 내지 3의 열가소성 수지 조성물은 사출 외관에 글로스(gloss)를 높이면서도, 저온 충격 강도와 함께 내열도가 향상된 것을 알 수 있다.
본 발명은 상기 실시예들에 한정되는 것이 아니라 서로 다른 다양한 형태로 제조될 수 있으며, 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 본 발명의 기술적 사상이나 필수적인 특징을 변경하지 않고서 다른 구체적인 형태로 실시될 수 있다는 것을 이해할 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 이상에서 기술한 실시예들은 모든 면에서 예시적인 것이며 한정적이 아닌 것으로 이해해야만 한다.

Claims (8)

  1. 열가소성 수지;
    변성 폴리카보네이트; 및
    디엔계 공중합체를 포함하는 열가소성 수지 조성물.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 변성 폴리카보네이트는 하기 화학식 2의 반복구조를 포함하는 것인 열가소성 수지 조성물.

  5. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 열가소성 수지는 폴리에스테르 수지인 것인 열가소성 수지 조성물.
  6. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 열가소성 수지는 폴리부틸렌 테레프탈레이트 수지인 것인 열가소성 수지 조성물.
  7. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 열가소성 수지 조성물은,
    상기 열가소성 수지 및 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트 100 중량부에 대해 디엔계 공중합체 4 내지 15 중량부를 포함하고,
    상기 열가소성 수지 및 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트 100 중량부는, 상기 열가소성 수지 30 내지 60중량%; 및 변성 폴리카보네이트 40 내지 70중량%를 포함하는 것인 열가소성 수지 조성물.
  8. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 디엔계 공중합체는 상기 변성 폴리카보네이트 매트릭스 상에 존재하는 것인 열가소성 수지 조성물.
