Abstract
본 발명은 배기가스의 폐열을 이용하여 작동유체의 과열증기 발생효율을 대폭 향상시킬 수 있는 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의한 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치는 양단부에 배기가스가 유입되는 유입탱크 및 배기가스가 유출되는 유출탱크을 가진 하우징; 상기 하우징 내에 설치되고, 상하 일정간격으로 이격되어 배치되는 복수의 배기가스튜브; 및 상기 복수의 배기가스튜브들 사이에 배치되는 복수의 작동유체튜브;를 포함하고, 상기 하우징의 일 측면에는 작동유체가 유입되는 유입파이프 및 작동유체가 유출되는 유출파이프가 설치되며, 상기 유입파이프 및 유출파이프에는 상기 복수의 작동유체튜브와 개별적으로 소통하도록 연결되고, 각 작동유체튜브의 상면 및 하면 각각은 인접한 배기가스튜브와 직접 접촉하며, 상기 하우징의 일측 외면에는 공기 소통공이 관통되어 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
Description
본 발명은 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 배기가스 등과 같은 폐열을 이용하여 작동유체의 과열증기 발생효율을 대폭 향상시킬 수 있는 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치에 관한 것이다.
차량, 선박 등에 이용되는 내연기관은 그 열효율이 매우 낮은 것이 널리 주지된 사실이다. 즉, 내연기관 측으로 공급되는 연료 대비 대략 30% 정도만이 출력에너지로 이용됨에 따라 연비 향상에 한계가 있었다.
사용가능한 기계적인 에너지(usable mechanical energy)로서 추출되지 못한 에너지가 내연기관의 배기가스 배출, 차지 에어 쿨링(charge air cooling), 엔진 냉각수의 방열 등에 의해 대기 중으로 폐열로서 배출된다.
이러한 폐열을 적극적으로 회수하여 연비 향상을 도모하기 위한 폐열회수시스템(waste heat recovery system)이 활용되고 있다. 최근에는 랭킨사이클(organic rankin cycle)을 가진 폐열회수시스템이 이용되고 있으며, 이러한 폐열회수시스템은 작동유체와 열교환함으로써 작동유체를 고온의 증기상태로 변환시키고, 이 고온 증기상태의 작동유체를 터빈 측으로 공급함으로써 터빈으로부터 기계적인 에너지를 효과적으로 추출할 수 있도록 구성된다.
이러한 폐열회수시스템에는 배기가스의 고열을 이용하여 건포화증기상태의 작동유체를 가열과열증기상태로 변환하는 과열증기발생장치가 구비되어 있으며, 과열증기상태의 작동유체를 터빈 측으로 공급함으로써 터빈의 효율을 더욱 높일 수 있다.
한편, 폐열회수시스템의 과열증기발생장치는 고온/고압의 작동유체 및 고온의 배기가스가 상호 열교환하도록 구성됨에 따라 작동유체의 누설가능성이 높고, 작동유체가 누설될 경우 차체 내에서 심각한 문제가 발생할 수 있는 문제점이 있었다.
본 발명은 상기와 같은 점을 감안하여 안출한 것으로, 하우징 내에서 배기가스가 통과하는 배기가스튜브와 작동유체가 통과하는 작동유체튜브 각각을 독립적으로 구성함으로써 배기가스 및 작동유체의 열교환효율을 대폭 향상시킬 수 있는 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다.
상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명에 의한 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치는,
양단부에 배기가스가 유입되는 유입탱크 및 배기가스가 유출되는 유출탱크을 가진 하우징;
상기 하우징 내에 설치되고, 상하 일정간격으로 이격되어 배치되는 복수의 배기가스튜브; 및
상기 복수의 배기가스튜브들 사이에 배치되는 복수의 작동유체튜브;를 포함하고,
상기 하우징의 일 측면에는 작동유체가 유입되는 유입파이프 및 작동유체가 유출되는 유출파이프가 설치되며, 상기 유입파이프 및 유출파이프에는 상기 복수의 작동유체튜브와 개별적으로 소통하도록 연결되고, 각 작동유체튜브의 상면 및 하면 각각은 인접한 배기가스튜브와 직접 접촉하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 하우징의 일측 외면에는 공기 소통공이 관통되어 형성되고, 상기 배기가스튜브는 평판형관 구조로 구성되며, 상기 각 작동유체튜브의 상면 및 하면 각각에는 평탄면이 형성되고, 상기 작동유체튜브의 평탄면은 상기 배기가스튜브와 직접 접촉하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 각 작동유체튜브는 그 상면 및 하면 각각에 평탄면을 각각 가진 오발(oval)형 단면구조로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 각 작동유체튜브는 S자형으로 벤딩되어 형성되고, 상기 각 작동유체튜브의 일측단부는 유입파이프 측에 접속되며, 상기 각 작동유체튜브의 타측단부는 유출파이프 측에 접속되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
각 배기가스튜브의 내부에는 웨이브핀이 설치되고, 상기 각 배기가스튜브의 양단부에는 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체가 설치되며, 상기 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체에는 복수의 끼움슬롯이 형성되고, 상기 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체의 각 끼움슬롯에는 상기 각 배기가스튜브의 양단부에는 끼워지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명에 의하면, 고온/고압의 작동유체가 통과하는 작동유체튜브의 열응력을 최소화함으로써 작동유체의 누설가능성을 최소화할 수 있고, 작동유체튜브를 통과하는 작동유체와 배기가스와의 열교환 접촉면적을 넓힘으로써 작동유체의 열교환효율을 대폭 향상시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다.

이하, 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명한다.
도 1 내지 도 6은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치를 도시한다.
도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명에 의한 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치는 양단부에 유입탱크(11) 및 유출탱크(12)를 가진 하우징(10), 하우징(10) 내에서 상하 일정간격으로 이격되어 배치되는 복수의 배기가스튜브(21), 인접한 배기가스튜브(21)들 사이에 개재되는 복수의 작동유체튜브(31)를 포함한다.
하우징(10)은 양단부가 개방된 각형 구조로 형성되고, 하우징(10)의 내부에 중공부(13)가 형성되어 있다. 하우징(10)의 양단부에는 유입탱크(11) 및 유출탱크(12)가 각각 결합되고, 유입탱크(11) 및 유출탱크(12)는 디퓨저 형상으로 형성된다. 유입탱크(11)를 통해 하우징(10) 측으로 배기가스가 유입되고, 유출탱크(12)를 통해 하우징(10) 내에서 배기가스가 외부로 유출된다.
유입탱크(11)의 일단에는 배기가스파이프(미도시)가 결합되는 결합슬리브(11a)가 돌출하고, 유입탱크(11)의 타단에는 끼움테두리(11b)가 하우징(10)의 일단을 향해 연장된다. 끼움테두리(11b) 내에는 하우징(10)의 일단부가 끼워진 후에 용접 등을 통해 결합된다.
유출탱크(12)의 일단에는 끼움테두리(12b)가 하우징(10)의 타단을 향해 연장되고, 유출탱크(12)의 타단에는 배기가스파이프(미도시)가 결합되는 결합슬리브(12a)가 돌출한다. 끼움테두리(12b) 내에는 하우징(10)의 타단부가 끼워진 후에 용접 등을 통해 결합된다.
복수의 배기가스튜브(21)는 상하 일정간격으로 배치되고, 각 배기가스튜브(21)는 그 양단부가 개방된 평판형관 구조로 형성된다. 각 배기가스튜브(21)의 내부에는 배기가스가 통과하는 배기가스통로(21a)가 형성되고, 이 배기가스통로(21a)에는 배기가스의 열교환효율을 높이기 위한 웨이브핀(23)이 설치된다.
복수의 배기가스튜브(21)는 그 양단부들이 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체(41, 42)를 통해 하우징(10)의 양단부 측에 설치된다.
제1끼움조립체(41)는 복수의 끼움슬롯(41a)을 가지고, 제1끼움조립체(41)는 하우징(10)의 일단부에 용접 등을 통해 결합된다. 복수의 끼움슬롯(41a)들은 배기가스튜브(21)들의 이격간격에 대응하는 간격으로 이격된다. 이에 제1끼움조립체(41)의 끼움슬롯(41a)들에 배기가스튜브(21)들의 각 일단부가 개별적으로 끼워진 후에 용접 등을 통해 결합될 수 있다.
제2끼움조립체(42)는 복수의 끼움슬롯(42a)을 가지고, 제2끼움조립체(42)는 하우징(10)의 타단부에 용접 등을 통해 결합된다. 복수의 끼움슬롯(42a)들은 배기가스튜브(21)들의 이격간격에 대응하는 간격으로 이격된다. 이에 제2끼움조립체(42)의 끼움슬롯(42a)들에 배기가스튜브(21)들의 각 타단부가 개별적으로 끼워진 후에 용접 등을 통해 결합될 수 있다.
이러한 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체(41, 42)에 의해 복수의 배기가스튜브(21)들은 상하방향으로 정확하게 이격되어 하우징(10) 내에 설치된다.
그리고, 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체(41, 42)는 하우징(10)의 양단부에 각각 기밀하게 결합되고, 이러한 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체(41, 42)를 통해 하우징(10)의 양단부가 배기가스튜브(21)들의 개구를 제외한 나머지 부분을 기밀하게 밀봉할 수 있다.
복수의 작동유체튜브(31)들은 복수의 배기가스튜브(21)들 사이에 개재되고, 각 작동유체튜브(31)는 연속적인 S자형 구조로 벤딩되어 형성된다. 각 작동유체튜브(31)의 상면 및 하면 각각은 인접한 배기가스튜브(21)와 직접 접촉하면서 용접 등을 통해 결합된다.
각 작동유체튜브(31)에는 작동유체가 유입되는 유입파이프(51) 및 작동유체가 유출되는 유출파이프(52)가 소통되게 연결되고, 유입파이프(51) 및 유출파이프(52)는 하우징(10)의 일 측면에 용접 등을 통해 결합된다.
유입파이프(51)의 상단에는 개구(51c)가 형성되고, 유입파이프(51)의 하단에는 폐쇄구(51d)가 설치된다. 이에 유입파이프(51)의 상단 개구(51c)를 통해 작동유체가 유입된다.
유입파이프(51)는 하우징(10)의 타단부에 인접한 일측면에 수직방향으로 설치되고, 유입파이프(51)의 일측 외주면에는 평탄면(51b)이 형성되며, 이 평탄면(51b)이 하우징(10)의 일측면에 용접 등을 통해 결합된다. 유입파이프(51)의 평탄면(51b)에는 복수의 유입공(51a)이 형성된다. 그리고, 하우징(10)의 타단부에 인접한 일측면에는 복수의 유입파이프(51)의 유입공(51a)에 대응하는 관통공(10a)이 형성된다. 작동유체튜브(31)의 일단부(31a)가 관통공(10a)을 통과한 후에 유입파이프(51)의 유입공(51a) 측에 밀봉적으로 접속된다.
유출파이프(52)의 상단에는 개구(52c)가 형성되고, 유출파이프(52)의 하단에는 폐쇄구(52d)가 설치된다. 이에, 유출파이프(52)의 상단 개구(52c)를 통해 작동유체가 유출된다.
유출파이프(52)는 하우징(10)의 일단부에 인접한 일측면에 수직방향으로 설치되고, 유출파이프(52)의 일측 외주면에는 평탄면(52b)이 형성되며, 이 평탄면(52b)이 하우징(10)의 일측면에 용접 등을 통해 결합된다. 유출파이프(52)의 평탄면(52b)에는 복수의 유출공(52a)이 형성된다. 그리고, 하우징(10)의 타단부에 인접한 일측면에는 복수의 유출파이프(52)의 유출공(52a)에 대응하는 관통공(10b)이 형성된다. 작동유체튜브(31)의 타단부(31b)가 관통공(10b)을 통과한 후에 유출파이프(51)의 유출공(52a) 측에 밀봉적으로 접속된다.
한편, 각 작동유체튜브(31)의 상면 및 하면 각각에는 평탄면(31c, 31d)이 형성되며, 작동유체튜브(31)의 평탄면(31c, 31d)은 상기 배기가스튜브(21)와 직접 접촉하도록 구성된다. 이와 같이, 작동유체튜브(31)가 배기가스튜브(21)와 면접촉하는 구조로 구성됨에 따라 작동유체튜브(31)를 통과하는 작동유체의 열교환효율이 대폭 향상되는 장점이 있다.
바람직하게는, 각 작동유체튜브(31)는 그 상면 및 하면 각각에 평탄면(31c, 31d)을 각각 가진 오발(oval)형 단면구조로 이루어진다. 이러한 오발형 단면 구조를 통해 작동유체튜브(31)의 고온/고압 증기상태의 작동유체가 작동유체튜브(31) 내부를 통과할 때 열응력의 집중이 최소화됨으로써 작동유체튜브(31)의 손상 내지 파손을 방지할 수 있다.
그리고, 작동유체튜브(31)의 양단부(31a, 31b)는 유입파이프(51) 및 유출파이프(52)와의 밀봉적인 접속을 용이하게 하도록 원형 단면을 가지는 것이 바람직하다.
한편, 도 2 및 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이 하우징(10)의 외면에는 공기 소통공(19)이 형성되고, 특히 공기 소통공(19)은 하우징(10)의 상면 측에 관통되어 형성됨으로써 하우징(10)의 중공부(13) 내외로 공기가 소통하도록 구성된다. 하우징(10)의 중공부(13) 내에서 고온의 배기가스 또는 고온의 작동유체에 의해 공기가 팽창할 경우 하우징(10) 내에 과도한 압력이 걸릴 수 있으므로, 이를 해소하기 위하여 공기 소통공(19)을 하우징(10) 측에 형성함으로써 하우징(10)의 중공부(13) 내에서 공기가 외부와 소통하도록 할 수 있고, 이를 통해 하우징(10)의 안정성을 높일 뿐만 아니라 배기가스와 작동유체의 열교환효율을 향상시킬 수 있다.
이상과 같이 구성된 본 발명의 작동을 다음과 같이 상세히 설명한다.
고온의 배기가스가 하우징(10)의 유입탱크(11)측으로 유입되면, 고온의 배기가스가 하우징(10) 내의 배기가스튜브(21)들의 배기가스통로(21a)를 통과한 후에 유출탱크(12)측으로 유출된다.
이렇게 배기가스가 복수의 배기가스튜브(21)를 통과하는 상태에서, 건포화증기상태의 작동유체가 유입파이프(51)를 통해 복수의 작동유체튜브(31) 내로 유입되고, 작동유체가 복수의 작동유체튜브(31)를 통과하면서 배기가스튜브(21)의 내부를 통과하는 고온의 배기가스와 열교환하며, 이를 통해 건포화증기상태의 작동유체는 과열증기로 변환된 후에 유출파이프(52)를 통해 유출될 수 있다.
이상과 같은 본 발명에 의하면, 작동유체튜브(31)가 오발형 단면구조로 이루어짐에 따라 고온/고압의 작동유체가 통과하는 작동유체튜브(31)의 열응력을 최소화할 수 있고, 이에 작동유체의 누설가능성을 최소화할 수 있으며, 작동유체튜브(31)를 통과하는 작동유체와 배기가스와의 열교환 접촉면적을 넓힘으로써 작동유체의 열교환효율을 대폭 향상시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다.
특히, 본 발명은 하우징(10)의 중공부(13) 내에 복수의 배기가스튜브(21) 및 복수의 작동유체튜브(31)가 배치되어 있다. 즉, 하우징(10)이 작동유체튜브(31)들의 외측을 기밀하게 밀폐하도록 구성된다. 이에, 고온/고압의 작동유체가 작동유체(31)에서 누설되더라도 하우징(10)의 외부로 누출됨을 확실하게 방지할 수 있다.
Claims (5)
- 양단부에 배기가스가 유입되는 유입탱크 및 배기가스가 유출되는 유출탱크을 가진 하우징;상기 하우징 내에 설치되고, 상하 일정간격으로 이격되어 배치되는 복수의 배기가스튜브; 및상기 복수의 배기가스튜브들 사이에 배치되는 복수의 작동유체튜브;를 포함하고,상기 하우징의 일 측면에는 작동유체가 유입되는 유입파이프 및 작동유체가 유출되는 유출파이프가 설치되며, 상기 유입파이프 및 유출파이프에는 상기 복수의 작동유체튜브와 개별적으로 소통하도록 연결되고, 각 작동유체튜브의 상면 및 하면 각각은 인접한 배기가스튜브와 직접 접촉하는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 하우징의 일측 외면에는 공기 소통공이 관통되어 형성되고, 상기 배기가스튜브는 평판형관 구조로 구성되며, 상기 각 작동유체튜브의 상면 및 하면 각각에는 평탄면이 형성되고, 상기 작동유체튜브의 평탄면은 상기 배기가스튜브와 직접 접촉하는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 각 작동유체튜브는 그 상면 및 하면에 평탄면을 각각 가진 오발(oval)형 단면구조로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 각 작동유체튜브는 S자형으로 벤딩되어 형성되고, 상기 각 작동유체튜브의 일측단부는 유입파이프 측에 접속되며, 상기 각 작동유체튜브의 타측단부는 유출파이프 측에 접속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,각 배기가스튜브의 내부에는 웨이브핀이 설치되고, 상기 각 배기가스튜브의 양단부에는 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체가 설치되며, 상기 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체에는 복수의 끼움슬롯이 형성되고, 상기 제1 및 제2 끼움조립체의 각 끼움슬롯에는 상기 각 배기가스튜브의 양단부에는 끼워지는 것을 특징으로 하는 폐열회수를 이용한 과열증기발생장치.
