Abstract

Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Flüssigkeitsring-Vakuumpumpe, bei dem Schwingungsmesswerte der Pumpe aufgenommen werden und mit einem vorgegebenen Kavitationsschwellwert (26) verglichen werden. Außerdem wird ein Messwert aufgenommen, der den Flüssigkeitsgehalt in dem zu fördernden Gas repräsentiert. Dieser Messwert wird mit einem vorgegebenen Grenzwert verglichen. Die Drehzahl der Flüssigkeitsring-Vakuumpumpe wird vermindert, wenn der vorgegebene Kavitationsschwellwert (26) überschritten wurde und der Flüssigkeitsgehalt unterhalb des vorgegebenen Grenzwerts liegt. Die Drehzahl wird erhöht wenn der vorgegebene Kavitationsschwellwert überschritten wurde und der Flüssigkeitsgehalt oberhalb des vorgegebenen Grenzwerts liegt. Die Offenbarung betrifft außerdem eine zum Durchführen des Verfahrens ausgelegt Flüssigkeitsring-Vakuumpumpe. Durch die offenbarte Regelung in Abhängigkeit von den Schwingungen der Pumpe kann die Pumpe in der Nähe der Kavitationsgrenze betrieben werden, ohne dass die Gefahr von Schäden besteht.
