Abstract

본 발명의 일 실시예는 한정된 메모리 환경 하에서 얼굴 인식 성능 향상을 위한 참조 얼굴 데이터베이스 관리 방법에 있어서, 새로운 입력 얼굴 영상을 획득하는 단계; 얼굴 인식을 위해 사용되는 참조 얼굴 데이터베이스의 기등록된 얼굴 영상들이 갖고 있는 분류 조건들을 참조로 하여, 입력 얼굴 영상에 해당되는 분류 조건을 판단하는 단계; 입력 얼굴 영상에 해당되는 분류 조건이 특정 분류 조건일 때, 참조 얼굴 데이터베이스에 특정 분류 조건에 해당되는 얼굴 영상이 기설정된 임계치보다 부족한 경우, 입력 얼굴 영상을 참조 얼굴 데이터베이스에 추가 등록할 수 있는 영상으로 선별하는 단계를 포함하는 방법을 제시한다.
