- the outdoor unit in this refrigeration apparatus includes a compressor that compresses the refrigerant. From this compressor, noise is generated by the vibration of the internal motor during operation of the compressor. Therefore, conventionally, a sound absorbing material made of glass fiber having excellent soundproofing properties is wound around a compressor used in an outdoor unit as a soundproofing measure.
- Patent Documents 1 and 2 disclose an outdoor unit having a compressor provided in a refrigerant circuit and a glass fiber sound absorbing material wound around the compressor.
- a fiber bundle made of glass fiber is widely used as a soundproof material because it is a material capable of efficiently absorbing sound energy, that is, a material having a high sound absorption rate and excellent soundproofing properties.
- fiber bundles made of glass fibers have excellent soundproofing properties but are vulnerable to external pressure. For this reason, when winding the sound absorbing material made of glass fiber around the compressor, the glass fiber is broken and the broken fiber may be scattered. Further, during operation of the compressor, the surface of the oscillating compressor and the fiber rub against each other, so that the fiber is crushed and the powder may be scattered.
- An object of the present invention is to provide an outdoor unit that can suppress scattering of fibers of the glass fiber sound-absorbing material when the glass fiber sound-absorbing material is wound around the compressor and during operation of the compressor. It is.
