Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de traitement d'un courant d'échappement provenant d'un moteur, qui comprend un passage d'échappement principal apte à recevoir le courant d'échappement en provenance du moteur. Une branche latérale est en communication avec le passage d'échappement principal. Une unité de régénération est positionnée à l'intérieur de la branche latérale pour faire brûler un combustible et chauffer l'échappement s'écoulant à travers le passage d'échappement principal. Un catalyseur de NOx mélange pauvre est positionné à l'intérieur du passage d'échappement principal en aval de l'unité de régénération. Un injecteur d'agent réducteur est positionné en aval de l'unité de régénération et en amont du catalyseur de NOx mélange pauvre pour injecter des particules réductrices dans le courant d'échappement. Un dispositif de commande actionne l'unité de régénération pour augmenter la température d'échappement et actionne l'injecteur d'agent réducteur pour réduire NOx à l'intérieur du catalyseur de NOx mélange pauvre.
