Abstract

 送電線の配線長が長くなるのを抑制しながら、送電の信頼性を向上させることが可能な発電システムを提供する。この太陽光発電システム(発電システム)(1)は、複数の太陽光発電ユニット(10)と、複数の太陽光発電ユニットに並設され、複数の太陽光発電ユニットの各々が接続される高電圧送電線(20aおよび20b)と、高電圧送電線に対する太陽光発電ユニットの接続を切り替える切替開閉器(23)とを備える。

Description

発電システム
 この発明は、発電システムに関し、特に、複数の発電ユニットと発電ユニットに並設される送電線とを備えた発電システムに関する。
 例えば太陽光エネルギーを利用した太陽光発電システム(発電システム)は、1つの土地に複数の太陽電池モジュールをアレイ状に設置して発電を行うタイプが一般的である。近年、この太陽電池アレイを広大な土地に大量に敷き詰めた大規模な発電システムが注目されており、MW(メガワット)級の発電システムも世界各地で設置事例がある。
 このように、ひとまとまりの土地に複数の太陽電池モジュールをアレイ状に設置して発電を行う場合、大規模発電になるほど広大な土地が必要となり、土地の確保が困難になる。例えば10MW程度のシステムの場合、おおよそ400m×700mという広大な土地が必要である。
 また、このようなシステムでは、例えば1MW~2MW毎にシステムを区分けし、各領域毎で太陽電池モジュールをアレイ状に設置する。また、各領域の中心部に、発電電力を昇圧する1次変圧器を配置し、各1次変圧器を1箇所の母線等に並列接続する。そして、母線等を電力系統に接続(連系)し、発電電力を送電する。この構成では、1次変圧器毎に発電電力を母線等に送電するための送電線が設けられるので、1つの送電線で事故(短絡事故や地絡事故など)が発生したとしても、他の送電線の送電は継続される。
 一方、複数の太陽電池モジュールによって構成される太陽光発電ユニット(発電ユニット)を高速道路などに並設して発電を行うタイプの太陽光発電システムも知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。上記特許文献1には、複数の太陽電池モジュールによって構成される複数の太陽光発電ユニットと、太陽光発電ユニットで発電された電力を送電する高電圧送電線とを備えた太陽光発電システムが開示されている。この太陽光発電システムでは、複数の太陽電池モジュールは高電圧送電線に並設され、細長く配列される。

 しかしながら、上記特許文献1では、電力を1つの高電圧送電線により送電するので、高電圧送電線で事故が発生した場合に、高電圧送電線が全停止し電力の送電が完全に停止するという問題点がある。
 そこで、上述した1次変圧器毎に送電線が設けられたシステムを上記特許文献1に適用することも考えられる。すなわち、太陽光発電ユニット毎に高電圧送電線を設けることも考えられる。しかしながら、高速道路などに並設して発電を行う場合、複数の太陽電池モジュールを細長く配列する必要があり、1つの太陽光発電ユニットは例えば1000mの長さになる。このため、この太陽光発電ユニットを高速道路などに沿って多数配置すると、高電圧送電線の配線長が極めて長くなるという問題点がある。
 この発明は、上記のような課題を解決するためになされたものであり、この発明の目的は、送電線の配線長が長くなるのを抑制しながら、送電の信頼性を向上させることが可能な発電システムを提供することである。
 上記目的を達成するために、この発明の発電システムは、自然エネルギーを利用して発電する直流電源ユニットを含む複数の発電ユニットと、細長い経路に沿って配置される複数の発電ユニットに並設され、複数の発電ユニットの各々が接続される第1送電線および第2送電線と、第1送電線および第2送電線に対する発電ユニットの接続を切り替える第1接続切替部と、を備える。
 この発電システムでは、第1送電線、第2送電線および第1接続切替部を設けることによって、電力の送電経路を切り替えることができる。
 上記発電システムにおいて、発電ユニットは直流電源ユニットから出力される直流電力を交流電力に変換する変換部を含んでいてもよい。
 上記発電ユニットが変換部を含む発電システムにおいて、発電ユニットは変換部から出力された交流電圧を昇圧する変圧器を含み、第1送電線および第2送電線は高電圧送電線を含んでいてもよい。
 なお、日本国内では一般的に高電圧送電線とは送電電圧が1000V以上7000V以下の送電線のことをいうが、本明細書中において高電圧送電線とは送電電圧が1000V以上35000V以下程度の送電線のことをいう。例えば日本国内では街中の配電線が高電圧送電線であり、送電電圧は6600Vが主流である。
 上記第1送電線および第2送電線が高電圧送電線を含む発電システムにおいて、好ましくは、複数の発電ユニット、第1送電線、第2送電線および第1接続切替部を含む複数のユニットと、ユニットからの交流電圧を昇圧する2次変圧器と、2次変圧器が接続される第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線と、第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線に対する2次変圧器の接続を切り替える第2接続切替部と、をさらに備える。このように構成すれば、特別高圧送電線における電力の送電経路を切り替えることができる。
 なお、本明細書中において、特別高圧送電線とは送電電圧が7000Vを超える送電線のことをいう。ただし、特別高圧送電線の送電電圧は高電圧送電線の送電電圧よりも高い。特別高圧送電線の送電電圧としては例えば22kV、33kV、66kV、77kV、110kV、154kV、275kVおよび500kVなどがある。一般的には22kVや33kVであるが、このレベルでは配電線(高電圧送電線)とする国が多い。高圧鉄塔の送電電圧は66kVや77kVである。また、原子力発電所等からの送電電圧は275kVや500kVが主流である。
 上記2次変圧器を備える発電システムにおいて、2次変圧器はユニット毎に2つずつ設けられ、一対の2次変圧器の低圧側には、一対の2次変圧器の低圧側同士を接続し、または、切り離すバイパス遮断器が設けられていてもよい。
 上記発電ユニットが変換部を含む発電システムにおいて、複数の発電ユニットが接続されるとともに、変換部から出力され変圧器により昇圧された交流電圧が供給される高電圧送電線と、高電圧送電線からの交流電圧を昇圧して第1送電線および第2送電線に出力する2次変圧器と、をさらに備え、第1送電線および第2送電線は第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線をそれぞれ含んでいてもよい。
 上記第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線を含む発電システムにおいて、2次変圧器からの交流電力を直流電力に変換して第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線に供給するACDC変換部をさらに備えていてもよい。
 この場合、好ましくは、ACDC変換部はサイリスタバルブを含む。
 上記発電システムにおいて、発電ユニットは直流電源ユニットから出力される直流電力を昇圧するDCDCコンバータを含んでいてもよい。
 上記発電ユニットがDCDCコンバータを含む発電システムにおいて、第1送電線および第2送電線は高電圧送電線を含んでいてもよい。
 上記発電ユニットがDCDCコンバータを含み、第1送電線および第2送電線が高電圧送電線を含む発電システムにおいて、好ましくは、複数の発電ユニット、第1送電線、第2送電線および第1接続切替部を含む複数のユニットと、ユニットからの直流電圧を昇圧する2次DCDCコンバータと、2次DCDCコンバータが接続される第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線と、第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線に対する2次DCDCコンバータの接続を切り替える第2接続切替部と、をさらに備える。このように構成すれば、特別高圧送電線における電力の送電経路を切り替えることができる。
 上記発電ユニットがDCDCコンバータを含む発電システムにおいて、複数の発電ユニットが接続されるとともに、DCDCコンバータにより昇圧された直流電圧が供給される高電圧送電線と、高電圧送電線からの直流電圧を昇圧して第1送電線および第2送電線に出力する2次DCDCコンバータと、をさらに備え、第1送電線および第2送電線は第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線をそれぞれ含んでいてもよい。
 上記発電ユニットがDCDCコンバータを含む発電システムにおいて、好ましくは、DCDCコンバータは昇圧チョッパ回路を含む。
 上記2次DCDCコンバータを備えた発電システムにおいて、好ましくは、2次DCDCコンバータは昇圧チョッパ回路を含む。
 上記第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線を含む発電システムにおいて、第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線は架空送電線であってもよい。
 上記第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線を含む発電システムにおいて、第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線には、第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線を複数の区間に区分けする開閉所が設けられていてもよい。
 上記開閉所が設けられている発電システムにおいて、開閉所は二重母線4ブスタイ方式または二重母線2ブスタイ方式を用いて構成されていてもよい。
 上記第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線が架空送電線である発電システムまたは開閉所が設けられている発電システムにおいて、発電ユニットは直流電源ユニットから出力される直流電力を昇圧するDCDCコンバータを含み、DCDCコンバータは昇圧チョッパ回路を含んでいてもよい。
 上記発電システムにおいて、好ましくは、第1送電線および第2送電線の各々が、複数の発電ユニットの定格発電容量の合計以上の送電容量を有する。このように構成すれば、複数の発電ユニットで発電された電力の全てを第1送電線および第2送電線のいずれか一方により送電することができる。
 上記ユニット、第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線を備える発電システムにおいて、好ましくは、第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線の各々が、複数のユニットの定格発電容量の合計以上の送電容量を有する。このように構成すれば、複数のユニットで発電された電力の全てを第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線のいずれか一方により送電することができる。
 この場合、通常運転時において、複数のユニットで発電された電力は第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線の一方により送電されてもよい。
 上記ユニット、第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線を備える発電システムにおいて、通常運転時において、複数のユニットで発電された電力は第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線に分配されて送電されてもよい。
 上記発電システムにおいて、直流電源ユニットを設置する架台をさらに備えてもよい。また、第1送電線および第2送電線は架台に取り付けられてもよい。さらに、第1送電線および第2送電線は管路に収納された状態で架台に取り付けられてもよい。なお、第1送電線および第2送電線を架台に取り付ける場合、第1送電線および第2送電線はCVケーブル(架橋ポリエチレン絶縁ビニルシースケーブル)等の電力ケーブルであってもよい。
 上記発電システムにおいて、好ましくは、直流電源ユニットは太陽光エネルギーを利用して発電する太陽電池ユニットを含む。
 以上のように、本発明によれば、第1送電線、第2送電線および第1接続切替部を設けることによって、電力の送電経路を切り替えることができる。これにより、第1送電線および第2送電線の一方で事故が発生した場合であっても、複数の発電ユニットで発電された電力を第1送電線および第2送電線の他方により送電することができる。すなわち、事故発生時に送電が全停止するのを抑制することができ、送電の信頼性を向上させることができる。
 また、送電の信頼性を向上させるために発電ユニット毎に送電線を設ける必要がないので、多数の発電ユニットを連続して長距離にわたって設置した場合であっても、送電線の配線長が長くなるのを抑制することができる。

 以下、本発明の実施形態について図面を参照して説明する。
(第1実施形態)
 まず、図1~図8を参照して、本発明の第1実施形態による太陽光発電システム(発電システム)1の構成について説明する。ここでは、太陽光発電システム1の定格発電容量が約10MWの場合について説明する。
 太陽光発電システム1は図1に示すように、複数の太陽光発電ユニット(発電ユニット)10と、複数の太陽光発電ユニット10に並設される高電圧送電線20aおよび20b(第1送電線および第2送電線)とを備えている。また、太陽光発電ユニット10と高電圧送電線20aおよび20bとの間には、遮断器21、開閉器22および切替開閉器(第1接続切替部)23が設けられている。
 太陽光発電ユニット10は、太陽光エネルギーを利用して発電する太陽電池ユニット(直流電源ユニット)11と、太陽電池ユニット11から出力される直流電力を交流電力に変換する変換部12と、変換部12から出力された交流電圧を昇圧する変圧器13とを有する。また、太陽光発電ユニット10は例えば10個設けられている。また、太陽光発電ユニット10は例えば高速道路(細長い経路)に沿って配置されているとともに、太陽電池ユニット11の長手方向が高速道路の遮音壁等に沿うように設置されている。
 太陽電池ユニット11は、太陽電池モジュールもしくは複数の太陽電池モジュールを直列に接続したストリングスを並列に接続したものである。太陽電池ユニット11の詳細構造は後述する。
 変換部12はインバータ装置等のPCS(パワーコンディショナシステム)であり、1つの太陽電池ユニット11に対して1つ設けられている。また、変換部12は太陽電池ユニット11から出力される直流電圧をAC400Vに変換するように構成されている。
 変圧器13は変換部12から出力されるAC400VをAC6600Vに昇圧するように構成されている。また、変圧器13には例えば4つの変換部12が並列に接続されている。なお、1つの変圧器13に接続される変換部12の数は変換部12の定格容量に基づいて設定されるものであり、変換部12の定格容量が変圧器13の定格容量と例えば同じである場合は、1つの変圧器13に対して1つの変換部12を接続してもよい。
 また、例えば定格容量が250kWの4つの変換部12に対して定格容量が1000kVAの変圧器13を1つ設け、この変圧器13(太陽光発電ユニット10)を10個連続して設置すれば、合計約10MWの太陽光発電システム1が得られる。
 遮断器21は事故(短絡事故や地絡事故)が発生したときなどに自動で開いて、変圧器13(太陽光発電ユニット10)と高電圧送電線20aおよび20bとの間を瞬時に遮断するためのものである。開閉器22は遮断器21が開かれた後に作業者が開いて、遮断器21よりも下位(太陽光発電ユニット10)のメンテナンス等を行うためのものである。すなわち、開閉器22は、別の作業者が遮断器21を誤って閉じて作業者が感電するのを防止するためのものである。なお、開閉器22は図2に示すように、遮断器21の両側(遮断器21および切替開閉器23の間と、遮断器21および変圧器13の間との両方)に設けられることが好ましいが、本明細書では図面簡略化のため、遮断器21と切替開閉器23との間の開閉器22のみを図示している。切替開閉器23は変圧器13(太陽光発電ユニット10)を高電圧送電線20aおよび20bのいずれか一方に接続させるためのものである。
 また、例えば遮断器21と開閉器22との間には、遮断器21を流れる過電流(異常電流)や地絡電流などを検出する為の計器用変成器(図示せず)が設けられている。この計器用変成器には保護リレー(図示せず)が接続されている。なお、計器用変成器及び保護リレーは遮断器21毎に設けられている。また、計器用変成器に過電流等が流れると保護リレーが作動して遮断器21へトリップ信号を出力するように構成されている。このように、保護リレーは高電圧送電線20aまたは20bに事故が発生した場合や負荷との電力需給バランスが崩れて周波数変動などが抑制しきれない事態に陥った時などに、トリップ信号を出力して遮断器21を開閉するように構成されている。尚、遮断器21が自動で開いた後の切替開閉器23の接続切り換え動作は、制御部(図示せず)を別途設け、そこから自動的に切替開閉器23をモータで動作する方法や、制御部から中央給電指令所に信号が送られ、中央給電指令所からオペレータが遠隔操作する方法が想定されるが、特に限定されるものではない。
 高電圧送電線20aおよび20bは複数の変圧器13からの電力(3相6600V)を並列接続(集電)するケーブルであり、太陽電池ユニット11の長手方向に沿って太陽光発電ユニット10に並設されている。高電圧送電線20aおよび20bは例えば高速道路に沿って設置されており、各変圧器13から出力される高電圧を送電する機能を有する。なお、高速道路に沿って照明灯などの負荷を設置し、太陽光発電ユニット10の発電電力を負荷に供給するように構成してもよい。また、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bを電力会社の系統に連系してもよい。そして、太陽光発電ユニット10が発電しているときは太陽光発電システム1の発電電力を負荷に供給し、太陽光発電ユニット10が発電していないときは電力会社から電力供給を受けて負荷に電力供給を行うように構成してもよい。
 また、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bは各10MVAの送電容量を有する。すなわち、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの各々は、太陽光発電システム1全体の定格発電容量(複数の太陽光発電ユニット10の定格発電容量の合計)以上の送電容量を有する。
 次に、図3および図4を参照して、太陽光発電ユニット10の構成について説明する。太陽光発電ユニット10は図3に示すように、例えば出力140Wの太陽電池モジュール(例えば、薄膜型太陽電池モジュール)30を2つ直列接続してストリングス31とし、このストリングス31を1000個並列接続したものである。
 また、図4に示すように、太陽電池モジュール30を2つずつ直列接続するために、一方の太陽電池モジュール30の端子ボックス32のプラス端子と他方の太陽電池モジュール30の端子ボックス32のマイナス端子とをケーブル33で接続してストリングス31とする。そして、このストリングス31を順次並列に接続するために、一方の太陽電池モジュール30の端子ボックス32のマイナス端子に接続されたケーブル34同士を並列接続用コネクタ36を介して接続を繰り返す。同様に、他方の太陽電池モジュール30の端子ボックス32のプラス端子に接続されたケーブル35同士を並列接続用コネクタ36を介して接続を繰り返す。
 また、プラス同士を並列接続する並列接続用コネクタ36間には、逆流防止ダイオード37が設置されている。この逆流防止ダイオード37には、太陽電池モジュール30の一部に影がかかったり、何らかの不具合でその太陽電池モジュール30の発電量が不足した場合に電流が逆流するのを防止する役割がある。
 そして、図3に示すような2直列のストリングス31を500セットずつ横方向に連続して並列接続したものを2つ設置し、それぞれから変換部12へケーブル38により直流電力を入力する。このようにして、2000個の太陽電池モジュール30を2直列×1000並列に接続させた太陽電池ユニット11と変換部12と変圧器13(図1参照)とを備えた太陽光発電ユニット10が構成されている。
 このような接続構造とすることにより、並列接続を並列接続用コネクタ36だけで行うことができ、一般的に用いられている接続箱や集電箱は必要ない。
 以上説明したような太陽光発電ユニット10(太陽電池ユニット11×4個)は、太陽電池モジュール30として一般的な縦1.4m×横1mのモジュールを用いた場合、縦約2.8m×横約1000m×4となる。この太陽光発電ユニット10を10個連続して設置した太陽光発電システム1は全長40kmであり、太陽光発電システム1に並設される(言い換えると、太陽電池モジュール30に並設される)高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの長さも40kmである。なお、6600Vの交流電流であれば、50km程度までのケーブルに流しても電力損失は実用上問題とならない。
 高電圧送電線20aおよび20bを高速道路に設置する場合、図5および図6に示すように高電圧送電線20aおよび20bを管路40の内部に収納した上で、道路が高架布設の場合は道路の下部へ設置してもよい。また、道路が陸上布設の場合は脇側の地下へ設置してもよい。なお、図5に示すように、太陽電池ユニット11を道路に沿って設けられた架台41に設置してもよい。
 また、図7および図8に示すように、管路40(高電圧送電線20aおよび20b)を架台41に取り付けてもよい。また、管路40は必ずしも必要でなく、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bを架台41に直接取り付けてもよい。なお、世界的には高速道路に側壁等がない場合が多く、架台41の設置が必要な場合が多いため、架台41に管路40等を取り付ける構成は有効である。
 次に、図9および図10を参照して、太陽光発電システム1の動作について説明する。通常運転時(事故が発生していない状態)では図9に示すように、遮断器21および開閉器22は閉じている。また、切替開閉器23は変圧器13(太陽光発電ユニット10)を交互に高電圧送電線20aおよび20bに接続している。これにより、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bは各5MWの電力を送電する。
 ここで、例えば高電圧送電線20bに事故(短絡事故や地絡事故など)が発生した場合、高電圧送電線20b側に接続されている太陽光発電ユニット10の保護回路(計器用変成器と保護リレーとによる構成、図示せず)が事故電流を検出し、遮断器21にトリップ信号が出力されることにより、遮断器21が開く。これにより、高電圧送電線20bに接続されていた変圧器13(太陽光発電ユニット10)が高電圧送電線20bから切り離される。
 そして、制御部から切替開閉器23を駆動するモータに制御信号が出力されることにより、開かれた遮断器21に接続されている切替開閉器23の接続が切り替わる。その後、再閉路が行われることにより、遮断器21が閉じる。これにより、図10に示すように、全ての変圧器13(太陽光発電ユニット10)が高電圧送電線20aに接続される。このため、高電圧送電線20bが復旧するまで、高電圧送電線20aは10MWの電力を送電する。
 なお、事故が発生した場合に事故が発生したことが保守作業者に速やかに伝わるように、例えば制御部からインターネット等を介して保守会社の管理装置に信号を送信してもよい。
 その後、高電圧送電線20bが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作、中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、遮断器21および切替開閉器23が上記とは逆の順序で動作する。これにより、変圧器13(太陽光発電ユニット10)が交互に高電圧送電線20aおよび20bに接続される。
 本実施形態では、上記のように、高電圧送電線20aおよび高電圧送電線20bと、高電圧送電線20aおよび高電圧送電線20bに対する太陽光発電ユニット10の接続を切り替える切替開閉器23とを設ける。これにより、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの一方で事故が発生した場合であっても、複数の太陽光発電ユニット10で発電された電力を高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの他方により送電することができる。すなわち、事故発生時に送電が全停止するのを抑制することができ、送電の信頼性を向上させることができる。
 また、送電の信頼性を向上させるために太陽光発電ユニット10毎に高電圧送電線を設ける必要がないので、多数の太陽光発電ユニット10を連続して長距離にわたって設置した場合であっても、高電圧送電線の配線長が長くなるのを抑制することができる。
 また、本実施形態によると、インフラが整備されていない無電化村等へ電力供給することが可能である。さらに、太陽光発電システム1を高速道路に設置することによって、広大なまとまった土地が必要なく、既設の高速道路への設置も容易であるため、設置場所の確保も特に必要としない。
 また、上記のように、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの各々が、太陽光発電ユニット10の定格発電容量の合計以上の送電容量を有する。これにより、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの一方で事故が発生した場合であっても、複数の太陽光発電ユニット10で発電された電力の全てを高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの他方により送電することができる。
 また、上記のように、太陽電池ユニット11を設置する架台41を設けることによって、太陽電池ユニット11(太陽光発電ユニット10)を容易に高速道路に並設することができる。
 また、上記のように、高電圧送電線20aおよび20b(管路40)を架台41に取り付ければ、高速道路が高架布設であっても陸上布設であっても、同一仕様の架台41を連続して設置し、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bを設置することができる。このため、陸上布設箇所であっても高電圧送電線20aおよび20bを埋設するための工事が必要なく、設置コストを削減することが可能となる。
(第2実施形態)
 この第2実施形態では、図11~図14を参照して、上記第1実施形態と異なり、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bを用いて電力を送電する場合について説明する。
 ここでは、太陽光発電システム(発電システム)101の定格発電容量が数十MW以上の場合について説明する。なお、系統連系規定によると、2MWよりも大きい電力を連系させる場合は特別高圧と連系させる必要がある。
 太陽光発電システム101は図11に示すように、複数の太陽光発電ユニット10、遮断器21、開閉器22、切替開閉器23、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bを含むユニット110と、複数の太陽光発電ユニット10(ユニット110)に並設される特別高圧送電線120aおよび120b(第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線)とを備えている。また、ユニット110と特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bとの間には、2次変圧器121、遮断器122、開閉器123および切替開閉器(第2接続切替部)124が設けられている。
 ユニット110は例えば10MWの定格発電容量を有し、1つのユニット110に太陽光発電ユニット10が例えば10個設置されている。これにより、ユニット110の全長は約40kmになる。
 2次変圧器121は高電圧送電線20aおよび20bそれぞれに対して1つ設けられている。すなわち、2次変圧器121は1つのユニット110に対して一対設けられている。また、2次変圧器121はユニット110から供給される高電圧を特別高圧(7000V以上。一般的には11kV~154kV)に昇圧するように構成されている。また、一対の2次変圧器121(ユニット110)は例えば4つ連続して設置されている。また、一対の2次変圧器121の高圧側(例えば77kV)は並列接続されて遮断器122に接続されている。
 遮断器122は事故が発生したときなどに自動で開いて、ユニット110と特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bとの間を瞬時に遮断するためのものである。開閉器123は、開閉器22と同様の機能を有する。また、開閉器123は開閉器22と同様、遮断器122の両側に設けられているが、図面簡略化のため、遮断器122と切替開閉器124との間の開閉器123のみを図示している。切替開閉器124はユニット110を特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bのいずれか一方に接続させるためのものである。
 なお、例えば遮断器122と開閉器123との間には、上記第1実施形態の保護回路(計器用変成器および保護リレー)と同様の機能を有する保護回路が設けられている。なお、この保護回路は遮断器122毎に設けられている。
 特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bはユニット110からの電力を並列接続するケーブルであり、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bに並設されている。特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bは高電圧送電線20aおよび20bと同様、例えば高速道路に沿って設置されており、各ユニット110からの特別高圧を送電する機能を有する。
 また、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの各々は、太陽光発電システム101全体の定格発電容量(太陽光発電ユニット10(ユニット110)の定格発電容量の合計)以上の送電容量を有する。例えば10MWのユニット110を4つ設置する場合、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの各々は40MVAの送電容量を有する。
 なお、通常運転時において特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bには、複数のユニット110が交互に接続されていてもよいし、全てのユニット110が一方に接続されていてもよい。
 また、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bは例えばCVケーブル(架橋ポリエチレン絶縁ビニルシースケーブル)であってもよく、この場合CVケーブルを高速道路や架台41に設置してもよい。また、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bは高圧鉄塔に設置された架空送電線であってもよい。また、高圧鉄塔は高速道路と一体となって設けられていてもよい。
 なお、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bは長距離になるので、充電電流によるロスを考慮する必要がある。このため、CVケーブルを用いる場合は、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bを100km以下の長さにし、送電電圧を22kV程度にすることが好ましい。ユニット110の定格発電容量が10MWの場合、ユニット110と特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bとの接続位置同士の間の距離(ユニット110のピッチ)L1は40kmになる。この場合、例えばユニット110を3つ設置し、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの全長を80km(100km以下)にし、送電電圧を22kVにしてもよい。
 また、送電容量を大きくする場合は架空送電線を用いるとともに、送電電圧を送電容量に適した電圧(例えば送電容量が50MVA程度の場合、77kVまたは110kV)にすることが好ましい。例えばユニット110を8つ設置し、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの全長を280kmにし、送電電圧を77kVまたは110kV程度にしてもよい。
 また、図12に示すように一対の2次変圧器121の低圧側に、一対の2次変圧器121の低圧側同士を接続し、または、切り離すバイパス遮断器125が設けられていてもよい。また、バイパス遮断器125および高電圧送電線20aの間と、バイパス遮断器125および高電圧送電線20bの間とに、遮断器126aおよび126bがそれぞれ設けられている。そして、例えば高電圧送電線20aおよび20bに、上記第1実施形態の保護回路と同様の機能を有する保護回路(計器用変成器および保護リレー)を設ける。これにより、高電圧送電線20aまたは20bに事故電流が流れると、遮断器126aまたは126bが開く。
 また、バイパス遮断器125は、制御部が設けられ、そこから自動的にモータで動作されるように構成されているが、特に限定されるものではない。例えば高電圧送電線20aで事故が発生した場合に、保護回路により遮断器126aが開く。そして、制御部からバイパス遮断器125を駆動するモータに制御信号が出力されることにより、バイパス遮断器125が閉じる。これにより、高電圧送電線20bから供給される電力を一対の2次変圧器121の両方に分配させることが可能である。このとき、遮断器126aは開いているので、高電圧送電線20bの電力がバイパス遮断器125および遮断器126aを経由して高電圧送電線20a側に逃げるのを防止することが可能である。なお、高電圧送電線20aの事故が復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、遮断器126aが閉じるとともにバイパス遮断器125が開く。
 第2実施形態のその他の構成は、上記第1実施形態と同様である。
 次に、図13および図14を参照して、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの一方に事故が発生した場合における太陽光発電システム101の動作について説明する。
 まず、通常運転時において図13に示すように特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bに複数のユニット110が交互に接続されている場合について説明する。なお、この場合の太陽光発電システム101の動作は、上記第1実施形態の太陽光発電システム1の動作と同様である。すなわち、通常運転時では、遮断器122および開閉器123は閉じており、切替開閉器124はユニット110を交互に特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bに接続している。
 ここで、例えば特別高圧送電線120bに事故が発生した場合、特別高圧送電線120b側に接続されているユニット110の保護回路が事故電流を検出し、遮断器122にトリップ信号が出力されることにより、遮断器122が開く。これにより、特別高圧送電線120bに接続されていたユニット110が特別高圧送電線120bから切り離される。
 そして、制御部から切替開閉器124に制御信号が出力されることにより、開かれた遮断器122に接続されている切替開閉器124の接続が切り替わる。その後、再閉路が行われることにより、遮断器122が閉じる。これにより、全てのユニット110が特別高圧送電線120aに接続される。
 その後、特別高圧送電線120bが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、遮断器122および切替開閉器124が上記とは逆の順序で動作する。これにより、ユニット110が特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bに交互に接続される。
 次に、通常運転時において図14に示すように全てのユニット110が特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの一方(ここでは特別高圧送電線120a)に接続されている場合について説明する。通常運転時は遮断器122および開閉器123は閉じており、切替開閉器124は全てのユニット110を特別高圧送電線120aに接続している。
 ここで、特別高圧送電線120aに事故が発生した場合、特別高圧送電線120a側に接続されているユニット110の保護回路(全てのユニット110の保護回路)が事故電流を検出し、遮断器122にトリップ信号が出力されることにより、全ての遮断器122が開く。その後、制御部から切替開閉器124を駆動するモータに制御信号が出力されることにより、全ての切替開閉器124の接続が切り替わる。そして、再閉路が行われることにより、遮断器122が閉じる。これにより、全てのユニット110が特別高圧送電線120bに接続される。
 その後、特別高圧送電線120aが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、遮断器122および切替開閉器124が上記とは逆の順序で動作する。これにより、全てのユニット110が特別高圧送電線120aに接続される。なお、特別高圧送電線120aが復旧しても、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bに対するユニット110の接続を切り替えなくてもよい。
 なお、第2実施形態のその他の動作は、上記第1実施形態と同様である。
 本実施形態では、上記のように、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bと、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bに対するユニット110(2次変圧器121)の接続を切り替える切替開閉器124とを設ける。これにより、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの一方で事故が発生した場合であっても、複数のユニット110で発電された電力を特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの他方により送電することができる。その結果、送電の信頼性をより向上させることができる。
 また、一対の2次変圧器121の低圧側にバイパス遮断器125を設ければ、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの一方で事故が発生した場合に、バイパス遮断器125を閉じることにより、高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの他方から供給される電力(例えば10MW)を一対の2次変圧器121の両方に分配させることができる。これにより、一対の2次変圧器121の各々には5MWの電力が供給されるので、2次変圧器121は5MWの定格容量を有していればよい。このため、各2次変圧器121の定格容量を10MWにする場合に比べて、コストを削減することができる。
 また、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの各々が、複数のユニット110の定格発電容量の合計以上の送電容量を有する。これにより、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの一方で事故が発生した場合であっても、複数のユニット110で発電された電力の全てを特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの他方により送電することができる。
 第2実施形態のその他の効果は、上記第1実施形態と同様である。
(第3実施形態)
 この第3実施形態では、図15~図20を参照して、上記第2実施形態と異なり、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの両方に事故が発生しても送電が完全に停止するのを防止する場合について説明する。
 第3実施形態による太陽光発電システム(発電システム)201では図15に示すように、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bには所定の距離(約500km~約750km程度)毎に中間開閉所(開閉所)210が設けられている。ここでは、太陽光発電システム201(特別高圧送電線120aおよび120b)が約2000kmにわたって設置され、約500km毎に中間開閉所210が設けられる場合について説明する。
 中間開閉所210は例えば3箇所に設けられており、太陽光発電システム201(特別高圧送電線120aおよび120b)は4つの区間に区分けされている。1つの区間において10MWのユニット110が12個設置されており、太陽光発電システム201の定格発電容量は480MWとなる。なお、定格発電容量が480MW程度まで大きくなると、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの送電電圧は154kV~275kV程度必要になる。また、本実施形態では、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bは架空送電線により形成されている。
 図16に示すように、中間開閉所210は二重母線2ブスタイ方式を用いて構成されている。具体的には、中間開閉所210には母線211および212が設けられている。母線211にはブスタイ220が設けられており、右側母線(一方母線)211aと左側母線(他方母線)211bとがブスタイ220により接続されている。また、ブスタイ220には遮断器213と、遮断器213の両側に配置された2つの開閉器214とが設けられている。これにより、右側母線211aと左側母線211bとを接続し、または、切り離すことが可能である。同様に、母線212にはブスタイ221が設けられており、右側母線(一方母線)212aと左側母線(他方母線)212bとがブスタイ221により接続されている。また、ブスタイ221には遮断器213と、遮断器213の両側に配置された2つの開閉器214とが設けられている。
 右側(一方側)の特別高圧送電線120aと右側母線211aおよび212aとの間には、開閉器215、遮断器216、断路器217aおよび217bが設けられている。この断路器217aおよび217bにより、右側の特別高圧送電線120aは右側母線211aと右側母線212aとに切替可能に連系されている。同様に、右側の特別高圧送電線120bと右側母線211aおよび212aとの間には、開閉器215、遮断器216、断路器217aおよび217bが設けられている。左側(他方側)の特別高圧送電線120aと左側母線211bおよび212bとの間には、開閉器215、遮断器216、断路器217aおよび217bが設けられている。左側(他方側)の特別高圧送電線120bと左側母線211bおよび212bとの間には、開閉器215、遮断器216、断路器217aおよび217bが設けられている。
 また、中間開閉所210の各遮断器の周辺には、上記第1および第2実施形態の保護回路と同様の機能を有する保護回路が設けられている。また、各保護回路は、上記第1および第2実施形態の制御部と同様の機能を有する制御部にて制御されている。なお、制御部は保護回路毎に設けられていてもよいし、中間開閉所210に1つだけ設けられていてもよい。また、各保護回路は中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作により制御されてもよい。
 また、図15に示すように、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの左端は受電端230となっている。受電端230では図17に示すように、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bが既存(または新設)の送電線240aおよび240bを介して需要家に電力が供給される。
 具体的には、受電端230では特別高圧送電線120aと送電線240aおよび240bとの間に、開閉器231、遮断器232、切替開閉器233が設けられている。この切替開閉器233により特別高圧送電線120aは送電線240aと送電線240bとに切替可能に連系されている。同様に、特別高圧送電線120bと送電線240aおよび240bとの間に、開閉器231、遮断器232、切替開閉器233が設けられている。この切替開閉器233により特別高圧送電線120bは送電線240aと送電線240bとに切替可能に連系されている。
 また、受電端230の各遮断器の周辺には、上記第1および第2実施形態の保護回路と同様の機能を有する保護回路が設けられている。また、各保護回路は、上記第1および第2実施形態の制御部と同様の機能を有する制御部にて制御されている。なお、制御部は保護回路毎に設けられていてもよいし、受電端230に1つだけ設けられていてもよい。また、各保護回路は中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作により制御されてもよい。
 また、受電端230には、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bにより送電された電力を送電線240aおよび240bの送電電圧(例えば77kV)に降圧する変圧器(図示せず)が設けられていてもよい。
 なお、中間開閉所210も受電端230と同様、需要家に電力を供給するように構成されていてもよい。母線211および212を介することにより、中間開閉所210からも比較的容易に電力供給を行うことが可能である。
 第3実施形態のその他の構成は、上記第1および第2実施形態と同様である。
 次に、図18~図20を参照して、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの両方に事故が発生した場合における太陽光発電システム201の動作について説明する。ここでは、通常運転時において特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの両方が送電している場合について説明する。
 通常運転時には図18に示すように、右側の特別高圧送電線120aに接続された断路器217aは閉じており断路器217bは開いている。右側の特別高圧送電線120bに接続された断路器217aは開いており断路器217bは閉じている。左側の特別高圧送電線120bに接続された断路器217aは開いており断路器217bは閉じている。左側の特別高圧送電線120aに接続された断路器217aは閉じており断路器217bは開いている。遮断器213、216および開閉器214、215は全て閉じている。そして、右側の特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bと左側の特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bとにより、電力が送電される。
 ここで、右側の区間において特別高圧送電線120bに事故が発生すると、右側の特別高圧送電線120bに接続されている保護回路が事故電流を検出し、右側の特別高圧送電線120bに接続された遮断器216にトリップ信号が出力される。また、左側の区間において特別高圧送電線120aに事故が発生すると、左側の特別高圧送電線120aに接続されている保護回路が事故電流を検出し、左側の特別高圧送電線120aに接続された遮断器216にトリップ信号が出力される。これにより、図19に示すように右側の特別高圧送電線120bに接続された遮断器216と、左側の特別高圧送電線120aに接続された遮断器216とが開く。そして、制御部によるモータの駆動や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作により、左側の特別高圧送電線120bに接続された断路器217aが閉じるとともに断路器217bが開く。これにより、右側の特別高圧送電線120aと左側の特別高圧送電線120bとにより、電力が送電される。
 その後、右側の特別高圧送電線120bおよび左側の特別高圧送電線120aが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、左側の特別高圧送電線120bに接続された断路器217aおよび217bの接続が切り替わるとともに、開いた遮断器216が閉じる。
 一方、右側の区間において特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの両方に事故が発生すると、ブスタイ220の遮断器213に接続されている保護回路が事故電流を検出し、ブスタイ220の遮断器213にトリップ信号が出力される。また、ブスタイ221の遮断器213に接続されている保護回路が事故電流を検出し、ブスタイ221の遮断器213にトリップ信号が出力される。これにより、図20に示すようにブスタイ220および221の遮断器213が開く。このため、左側の区間に事故が波及するのを防止でき、左側の区間では特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bにより電力が送電される。その後、右側の特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、ブスタイ220および221の遮断器213が閉じる。
 なお、事故発生時における上述した動作は一例であり、他の遮断器を開くことにより事故の波及を防止することも可能である。
 第3実施形態のその他の動作は、上記第1および第2実施形態と同様である。
 本実施形態では、上記のように、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bに二重母線2ブスタイ方式の中間開閉所210を設ける。これにより、例えば右側の区間において特別高圧送電線120bに事故が発生し、左側の区間において特別高圧送電線120aに事故が発生した場合であっても、右側の特別高圧送電線120aと左側の特別高圧送電線120bとにより送電を継続することができる。また、例えば右側の区間において特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bの両方に事故が発生した場合であっても、左側の区間に事故が波及するのを防止できる。すなわち、事故区間を例えば500kmに限定できる。そして、左側の区間では特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bにより送電を継続することができる。2回線(特別高圧送電線120aおよび120b)で送電することにより送電の信頼性が高くなったとは言え、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bが長距離(例えば2000km)になると2回線で同時に事故が発生する場合がある。本実施形態では2回線に同時に事故が発生した場合であっても送電が完全に停止するのを防止することができ、特に有効である。
 なお、中間開閉所210を設けずに特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bだけで長距離(例えば2000km)をつなぐと、遠隔地同士の保護リレーが誤動作する場合がある。しかしながら本実施形態では、中間開閉所210を設けて特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bを区分けすることによって、適当な距離間で保護リレーを整定することができ、保護リレーが誤動作するのを防止することができる。
 第3実施形態のその他の効果は、上記第1および第2実施形態と同様である。
(第4実施形態)
 この第4実施形態では、図21および図22を参照して、上記第2実施形態と異なり、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bが直流電力を送電する場合について説明する。
 太陽光発電システム(発電システム)301は図21に示すように、複数のユニット110と、複数のユニット110に並設される特別高圧送電線320aおよび320b(第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線)とを備えている。また、ユニット110と特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bとの間には、2次変圧器121、交流電力を直流電力に変換するACDC変換部312、開閉器123および切替開閉器124が設けられている。この太陽光発電システム301では、ユニット110が例えば数十個以上設置されている。
 2次変圧器121はユニット110から供給される高電圧を例えば500kVの特別高圧に昇圧するように構成されている。また、一対の2次変圧器121の高圧側(例えば500kV)は並列接続されてACDC変換部312に接続されている。ACDC変換部312は、開閉器123および切替開閉器124を介して特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに接続されている。すなわち、本実施形態は、上記第2実施形態の遮断器122をACDC変換部312に置き換えたような構成になっている。
 ACDC変換部312は、2次変圧器121から出力される3相交流電力を同じ電圧の直流電力に変換して特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに供給する。ACDC変換部312は例えば多数のサイリスタ素子を組み合わせた大容量のサイリスタバルブにより構成されている。なお、本実施形態では、ACDC変換部312の定格容量は、ユニット110の定格発電容量と同じ10MWである。
 ACDC変換部312は事故が発生したときなどに自動で停止して、ユニット110や2次変圧器121を特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bから解列する機能を有する。なお、ACDC変換部312は、ACDC変換部312に過電流(異常電流)や地絡電流などが流れると、その電流を検出してACDC変換部312の動作を停止する機能を有する。
 特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bは、直流式の送電線である。特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bは、500km以上(例えば2000km)の長距離にわたって設置されており、500kVの直流電力を送電する。なお、通常運転時において特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bには、複数のユニット110が交互に接続されていてもよいし、全てのユニット110が一方に接続されていてもよい。
 ユニット110は特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bの全長にわたって途切れることなく設置されていてもよい。また、ユニット110は、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bの一部に沿って設置されていてもよい。例えば図22に示すように、数百kmにわたって特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bだけが設置されている部分があってもよい。
 また、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bは例えばCVケーブルにより形成されており、高速道路や架台41に設置されている。なお、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bは高圧鉄塔に設置された架空送電線であってもよい。
 第4実施形態のその他の構成は、上記第2実施形態と同様である。
 次に、図21を参照して、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bの一方に事故が発生した場合における太陽光発電システム301の動作について説明する。
 まず、通常運転時において特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに複数のユニット110が交互に接続されている場合について説明する。例えば特別高圧送電線320bに事故が発生した場合、特別高圧送電線320b側に接続されているACDC変換部312は事故電流を検出するとともに動作を停止する。これにより、特別高圧送電線320bに接続されていたユニット110が特別高圧送電線320bから解列される。
 そして、制御部から切替開閉器124に制御信号が出力されることにより、停止されたACDC変換部312に接続されている切替開閉器124の接続が切り替わる。その後、ACDC変換部312の動作が再開されることにより、全てのユニット110が特別高圧送電線320aに接続される。
 その後、特別高圧送電線320bが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、ACDC変換部312および切替開閉器124が上記とは逆の順序で動作する。これにより、ユニット110が特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに交互に接続される。
 次に、通常運転時において全てのユニット110が特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bの一方(ここでは特別高圧送電線320a)に接続されている場合について説明する。特別高圧送電線320aに事故が発生した場合、特別高圧送電線320a側に接続されているACDC変換部312(全てのACDC変換部312)は事故電流を検出するとともに動作を停止する。その後、制御部から切替開閉器124を駆動するモータに制御信号が出力されることにより、全ての切替開閉器124の接続が切り替わる。そして、ACDC変換部312の動作が再開されることにより、全てのユニット110が特別高圧送電線320bに接続される。
 その後、特別高圧送電線320aが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、ACDC変換部312および切替開閉器124が上記とは逆の順序で動作する。これにより、全てのユニット110が特別高圧送電線320aに接続される。なお、特別高圧送電線320aが復旧しても、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに対するユニット110の接続を切り替えなくてもよい。
 次に、ユニット110に事故が発生した場合について説明する。ユニット110に事故が発生した場合、そのユニット110に接続されているACDC変換部312は事故電流を検出するとともに動作を停止する。これにより、事故が発生したユニット110は特別高圧送電線320aまたは320bから解列される。このとき、切替開閉器124はそのままの状態で保持される。すなわち、切替開閉器124の接続切替動作は行わない。
 その後、ユニット110が復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作により、ACDC変換部312の動作が再開されることにより、ユニット110が特別高圧送電線320aまたは320bに接続される。
 なお、第4実施形態のその他の動作は、上記第1および第2実施形態と同様である。
 本実施形態では、上記のように、2次変圧器121からの交流電力を直流電力に変換して特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに供給するACDC変換部312を備える。これにより、超高電圧かつ長距離の送電を直流送電にすることができるので、充電電流によるロスを無くすことができ、送電ロスを低減することができる。具体的に説明すると、送電線が例えば500km以上に及ぶような長距離送電を行う場合、電圧を500kV程度まで高くしないと抵抗ロスが顕著に現れる。しかしながら、このような長距離を500kVで送電する場合、交流電力では充電電流が送電線内に発生して送電ロスが別途生じる。この現象は、例えば送電電圧が500kVの場合、送電距離が2000km以上になると顕著になる。また、充電電流は交流送電特有の現象であり、直流送電の場合は発生しない。このため、上記のように、ACDC変換部312を設けて直流送電を行うことによって、充電電流によるロスを無くすことができ、送電ロスを低減することができる。また、充電電流は送電電圧に比例して大きくなるが、直流送電では充電電流が発生しないため、送電電圧が高くなるほど、交流送電に比べて直流送電のロス低減効果が向上する。
 また、充電電流の発生量はCVケーブルを用いた場合に多くなるので、通常、CVケーブルは長距離送電に不向きである。しかしながら、上記のように、直流送電を行うことによって、送電距離に関係なくCVケーブルを用いることができる。これにより、高圧鉄塔を建てずに、高速道路等に沿って安価に設置することが可能である。
 また、架空送電を行う場合であっても、単位長さ当たりの送電線のコストは三相交流よりも直流の方が安価になる。ACDC変換部312を設置する分、コストが高くなるが、ある距離を分岐点にして直流送電のコストが交流送電のコストに比べて低くなる。この分岐点は500kmと言われている。
 また、上記のように、ACDC変換部312をサイリスタバルブにより構成することによって、超高電圧の交流電力を直流電力に容易に変換することができる。
 第4実施形態のその他の効果は、上記第1および第2実施形態と同様である。
(第5実施形態)
 この第5実施形態では、図23を参照して、上記第4実施形態と異なり、太陽電池ユニット11から出力される直流電力を交流電力に変換することなく特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに供給して送電する場合について説明する。
 太陽光発電システム(発電システム)401は図23に示すように、複数のユニット510と、複数のユニット510に並設される特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bとを備えている。
 ユニット510は、複数の太陽光発電ユニット(発電ユニット)410、開閉器22、切替開閉器23、直流式の送電線である高電圧送電線420aおよび420b(第1送電線および第2送電線)を含んでいる。ユニット510には遮断器21が設けられていない。太陽光発電ユニット410は、複数の太陽電池ユニット11と、太陽電池ユニット11から出力された直流電力を昇圧するDCDCコンバータ413とを含んでいる。
 DCDCコンバータ413は、昇圧チョッパ回路を含んでいるとともに、太陽電池ユニット11から出力される直流電力を3000V~30000Vに昇圧するように構成されている。また、DCDCコンバータ413は事故が発生したときなどに自動で停止して、太陽光発電ユニット410を高電圧送電線420aおよび420bから解列する機能を有する。なお、DCDCコンバータ413は、DCDCコンバータ413に過電流(異常電流)や地絡電流などが流れると、その電流を検出してDCDCコンバータ413の動作を停止する機能を有する。
 太陽光発電ユニット410およびユニット510のその他の構成は、上記太陽光発電ユニット10およびユニット110と同様である。
 ユニット510と特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bとの間には、2次DCDCコンバータ521、開閉器123および切替開閉器124が設けられている。2次DCDCコンバータ521は高電圧送電線420aおよび420bそれぞれに対して1つ設けられている。すなわち、2次DCDCコンバータ521は1つのユニット510に対して一対設けられている。また、2次DCDCコンバータ521は、昇圧チョッパ回路を含んでいるとともに、ユニット510から供給される高電圧の直流電力を例えば500kVの特別高圧の直流電力に昇圧するように構成されている。また、一対の2次DCDCコンバータ521の高圧側(例えば500kV)は並列接続されて開閉器123に接続されている。なお、本実施形態では、2次DCDCコンバータ521の定格容量は、ユニット510の定格発電容量と同じ10MWである。
 2次DCDCコンバータ521は事故が発生したときなどに自動で停止して、ユニット510を特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bから解列する機能を有する。なお、2次DCDCコンバータ521は、2次DCDCコンバータ521に過電流(異常電流)や地絡電流などが流れると、その電流を検出して2次DCDCコンバータ521の動作を停止する機能を有する。
 第5実施形態のその他の構成は、上記第4実施形態と同様である。
 次に、図23を参照して、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bの一方に事故が発生した場合における太陽光発電システム401の動作について説明する。
 まず、通常運転時において特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに複数のユニット510が交互に接続されている場合について説明する。例えば特別高圧送電線320bに事故が発生した場合、特別高圧送電線320b側に接続されている2次DCDCコンバータ521は事故電流を検出するとともに動作を停止する。これにより、特別高圧送電線320bに接続されていたユニット510が特別高圧送電線320bから解列される。
 そして、制御部から切替開閉器124に制御信号が出力されることにより、停止された2次DCDCコンバータ521に接続されている切替開閉器124の接続が切り替わる。その後、2次DCDCコンバータ521の動作が再開されることにより、全てのユニット510が特別高圧送電線320aに接続される。
 その後、特別高圧送電線320bが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、2次DCDCコンバータ521および切替開閉器124が上記とは逆の順序で動作する。これにより、ユニット510が特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに交互に接続される。
 次に、通常運転時において全てのユニット510が特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bの一方(ここでは特別高圧送電線320a)に接続されている場合について説明する。特別高圧送電線320aに事故が発生した場合、特別高圧送電線320a側に接続されている2次DCDCコンバータ521(全ての2次DCDCコンバータ521)は事故電流を検出するとともに動作を停止する。その後、制御部から切替開閉器124を駆動するモータに制御信号が出力されることにより、全ての切替開閉器124の接続が切り替わる。そして、2次DCDCコンバータ521の動作が再開されることにより、全てのユニット510が特別高圧送電線320bに接続される。
 その後、特別高圧送電線320aが復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作または制御部によるモータの駆動により、2次DCDCコンバータ521および切替開閉器124が上記とは逆の順序で動作する。これにより、全てのユニット510が特別高圧送電線320aに接続される。なお、特別高圧送電線320aが復旧しても、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに対するユニット510の接続を切り替えなくてもよい。
 次に、ユニット510に事故が発生した場合について説明する。ユニット510に事故が発生した場合、そのユニット510に接続されている2次DCDCコンバータ521は事故電流を検出するとともに動作を停止する。これにより、事故が発生したユニット510は特別高圧送電線320aまたは320bから解列される。このとき、切替開閉器124はそのままの状態で保持される。すなわち、切替開閉器124の接続切替動作は行わない。
 その後、ユニット510が復旧すると、保守作業者による操作や中央給電指令所からの遠隔操作により、2次DCDCコンバータ521の動作が再開されることにより、ユニット510が特別高圧送電線320aまたは320bに接続される。
 なお、高電圧送電線420aおよび420bの一方に事故が発生した場合におけるDCDCコンバータ413および切替開閉器23の動作は、特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bの一方に事故が発生した場合における2次DCDCコンバータ521および切替開閉器124の動作と同様である。
 第5実施形態のその他の動作は、上記第4実施形態と同様である。
 本実施形態では、上記のように、太陽電池ユニット11から出力される直流電力を交流電力に変換することなく特別高圧送電線320aおよび320bに供給する。これにより、変換部12やACDC変換部312を設ける必要がないので、構成を簡素化することができるとともに、コストを削減することができる。
 また、上記のように、DCDCコンバータ413および2次DCDCコンバータ521を昇圧チョッパ回路により構成することによって、直流電力を容易に昇圧させることができる。
 第5実施形態のその他の効果は、上記第4実施形態と同様である。
 なお、今回開示された実施形態は、すべての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えられるべきである。本発明の範囲は、上記した実施形態の説明ではなく請求の範囲によって示され、さらに請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれる。
 例えば、太陽光発電システムの中に蓄電池を設置して昼間発電した電力の一部を貯蓄し、夜間や日照不足時にこれを消費するような構成も本発明に含まれる。
 また、上記実施形態では、直流電源ユニット、発電ユニットおよび発電システムとして太陽光エネルギーを利用して発電する太陽電池ユニット、太陽光発電ユニットおよび太陽光発電システムを用いた例について示したが、本発明はこれに限らない。例えば風力などの自然エネルギーを利用して発電する場合も本発明に含まれる。
 また、上記第2実施形態では、一対の2次変圧器121と特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bとの間に遮断器122、開閉器123および切替開閉器124を設けた例について示したが、本発明はこれに限らない。例えば図24に示した本発明の第1変形例による太陽光発電システムのように、2次変圧器121と特別高圧送電線120aとの間に遮断器122および開閉器123を設け、2次変圧器121と特別高圧送電線120bとの間に遮断器122および開閉器123を設ける。また、一対の2次変圧器121の高圧側に、一対の2次変圧器121の高圧側同士を接続し、または、切り離すバイパス遮断器125aを設ける。そして、バイパス遮断器125a、遮断器122および開閉器123により、特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bに対するユニット110の接続を切り替える接続切替部(第2接続切替部)621を構成してもよい。
 また、上記第2、第4および第5実施形態では、高電圧送電線および特別高圧送電線の両方を2回線設けた例について示したが、本発明はこれに限らない。例えば図25に示した本発明の第2変形例による太陽光発電システムのように、高電圧送電線を1回線にしてもよい。すなわち、複数の太陽光発電ユニット10を1つの高電圧送電線620に接続してもよい。この場合、開閉器22と高電圧送電線620との間に切替開閉器23を設ける必要がない。そして、高電圧送電線620と特別高圧送電線120aおよび120b(第1送電線および第2送電線)との間に、1つの2次変圧器(変圧器)121、遮断器122、開閉器123および切替開閉器124を設けてもよい。なお、回路構成によっては、高電圧送電線620と特別高圧送電線120aおよび120bとの間に、2つの2次変圧器121を設けてもよい。同様に、例えば図26に示した本発明の第3変形例による太陽光発電システムのように、直流送電を行う場合に高電圧送電線を1回線にして特別高圧送電線を2回線にしてもよい。このことは、太陽電池ユニットから出力される直流電力を交流電力に変換することなく送電する構成においても同様である。
 上記第3実施形態では、中間開閉所210を二重母線2ブスタイ方式により構成した例について示したが、本発明はこれに限らない。例えば図27に示した本発明の第4変形例による太陽光発電システムのように、母線211と母線212との間にブスタイ222および223を設け、中間開閉所210を二重母線4ブスタイ方式により構成してもよい。このように構成すれば、送電の信頼性をさらに向上させることができる。また、中間開閉所を二重母線1ブスタイ方式により構成してもよい。また、中間開閉所をブスタイ方式以外の方式により構成してもよい。
 また、上記実施形態では、通常運転時において高電圧送電線20aおよび20bの両方が電力を送電する例について示したが、本発明はこれに限らず、通常運転時において高電圧送電線20aおよび20bのいずれか一方が電力を送電するように構成してもよい。
 また、上記実施形態、第2および第3変形例では、第1送電線および第2送電線が高電圧送電線または特別高圧送電線である場合について示したが、本発明はこれに限らず、高電圧送電線や特別高圧送電線以外の送電線にも適用可能である。
 また、上記実施形態では、複数の発電ユニットを高速道路に沿って配置する例について示したが、本発明はこれに限らない。複数の発電ユニットを例えば高速道路以外の道路(一般道路など)や線路などの細長い経路に沿って配置してもよい。
 また、例えば上記第4および第5実施形態では、500kV以上の特別高圧を500km以上にわたって送電する場合に特別高圧送電線が直流電力を送電するように構成した例について示したが、本発明はこれに限らない。500kV未満の特別高圧を500km未満送電する場合に、特別高圧送電線が直流電力を送電するように構成してもよい。
 また、上記第5実施形態では、DCDCコンバータおよび2次DCDCコンバータが昇圧チョッパ回路により構成されている例について説明したが、本発明はこれに限らず、DCDCコンバータおよび2次DCDCコンバータが昇圧チョッパ回路以外により構成されていてもよい。
 また、上述した実施形態および変形例の構成を適宜組み合わせて得られる構成についても、本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。

Claims (26)

  1.  自然エネルギーを利用して発電する直流電源ユニットを含む複数の発電ユニットと、
     細長い経路に沿って配置される前記複数の発電ユニットに並設され、前記複数の発電ユニットの各々が接続される第1送電線および第2送電線と、
     前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線に対する前記発電ユニットの接続を切り替える第1接続切替部と、
     を備えることを特徴とする発電システム。
  2.  前記発電ユニットは前記直流電源ユニットから出力される直流電力を交流電力に変換する変換部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発電システム。
  3.  前記発電ユニットは前記変換部から出力された交流電圧を昇圧する変圧器を含み、
     前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線は高電圧送電線を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の発電システム。
  4.  前記複数の発電ユニット、前記第1送電線、前記第2送電線および前記第1接続切替部を含む複数のユニットと、
     前記ユニットからの交流電圧を昇圧する2次変圧器と、
     前記2次変圧器が接続される第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線と、
     前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線に対する前記2次変圧器の接続を切り替える第2接続切替部と、
     をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の発電システム。
  5.  前記2次変圧器は前記ユニット毎に2つずつ設けられ、
     一対の前記2次変圧器の低圧側には、前記一対の2次変圧器の低圧側同士を接続し、または、切り離すバイパス遮断器が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の発電システム。
  6.  前記複数の発電ユニットが接続されるとともに、前記変換部から出力され変圧器により昇圧された交流電圧が供給される高電圧送電線と、
     前記高電圧送電線からの交流電圧を昇圧して前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線に出力する2次変圧器と、
     をさらに備え、
     前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線は第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線をそれぞれ含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の発電システム。
  7.  前記2次変圧器からの交流電力を直流電力に変換して前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線に供給するACDC変換部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項4~6のいずれか1項に記載の発電システム。
  8.  前記ACDC変換部はサイリスタバルブを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の発電システム。
  9.  前記発電ユニットは前記直流電源ユニットから出力される直流電力を昇圧するDCDCコンバータを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の発電システム。
  10.  前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線は高電圧送電線を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の発電システム。
  11.  前記複数の発電ユニット、前記第1送電線、前記第2送電線および前記第1接続切替部を含む複数のユニットと、
     前記ユニットからの直流電圧を昇圧する2次DCDCコンバータと、
     前記2次DCDCコンバータが接続される第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線と、
     前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線に対する前記2次DCDCコンバータの接続を切り替える第2接続切替部と、
     をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の発電システム。
  12.  前記複数の発電ユニットが接続されるとともに、前記DCDCコンバータにより昇圧された直流電圧が供給される高電圧送電線と、
     前記高電圧送電線からの直流電圧を昇圧して前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線に出力する2次DCDCコンバータと、
     をさらに備え、
     前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線は第1特別高圧送電線および第2特別高圧送電線をそれぞれ含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の発電システム。
  13.  前記DCDCコンバータは昇圧チョッパ回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項9~12のいずれか1項に記載の発電システム。
  14.  前記2次DCDCコンバータは昇圧チョッパ回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項11または12に記載の発電システム。
  15.  前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線は架空送電線であることを特徴とする請求項4~8、11、12および14のいずれか1項に記載の発電システム。
  16.  前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線には、前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線を複数の区間に区分けする開閉所が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項4~8、11、12、14および15のいずれか1項に記載の発電システム。
  17.  前記開閉所は二重母線4ブスタイ方式または二重母線2ブスタイ方式を用いて構成されていることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の発電システム。
  18.  前記発電ユニットは前記直流電源ユニットから出力される直流電力を昇圧するDCDCコンバータを含み、
     前記DCDCコンバータは昇圧チョッパ回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項15または16に記載の発電システム。
  19.  前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線の各々が、前記複数の発電ユニットの定格発電容量の合計以上の送電容量を有することを特徴とする請求項1~18のいずれか1項に記載の発電システム。
  20.  前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線の各々が、前記複数のユニットの定格発電容量の合計以上の送電容量を有することを特徴とする請求項4または11に記載の発電システム。
  21.  通常運転時において、前記複数のユニットで発電された電力は前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線の一方により送電されることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の発電システム。
  22.  通常運転時において、前記複数のユニットで発電された電力は前記第1特別高圧送電線および前記第2特別高圧送電線に分配されて送電されることを特徴とする請求項4または11に記載の発電システム。
  23.  前記直流電源ユニットを設置する架台をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1~22のいずれか1項に記載の発電システム。
  24.  前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線は前記架台に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項23に記載の発電システム。
  25.  前記第1送電線および前記第2送電線は管路に収納された状態で前記架台に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項24に記載の発電システム。
  26.  前記直流電源ユニットは太陽光エネルギーを利用して発電する太陽電池ユニットを含むことを特徴とする請求項1~25のいずれか1項に記載の発電システム。
