La présente invention concerne un dispositif de traitement de vêtements, qui est pourvu d'une caisse (41) qui comporte, sur sa surface avant, une ouverture (40) pour positionner et retirer des vêtements, d'un couvercle (52) qui recouvre l'ouverture (40), et d'une charnière (87) qui ouvre et ferme le couvercle (52), la charnière (87) étant pourvue d'éléments de raccordement sensiblement en forme de L (86) qui comportent une première partie (86a), dont une extrémité est fixée au bord de l'ouverture dans la caisse (41) et est formée pour faire saillie vers l'avant, et une seconde partie (86b), dont l'embout est formé pour faire saillie vers l'extérieur du côté de l'autre extrémité de la première partie (86a) et supporte le bord du couvercle (52) de façon rotative. Des encoches (88) sont formées dans le bord du couvercle (52) et les embouts des secondes parties (86b) des éléments de raccordement (86) sont positionnés dans les encoches (88). Lorsque le couvercle (52) est fermé, les secondes parties (86b) sont logées à l'intérieur des encoches (88), permettant ainsi à l'espace entre le bord du couvercle (52) et la caisse (41) d'être réduit.
