Abstract

The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a deodorant for deodorizing body odor, particularly the "old person smell" inherent to middle- and old-aged people, the deodorant being safe to use and having a strong deodorizing effect. By having the deodorant contain polyvalent alcohol, in particular 1,3-butylene glycol, as an active ingredient, it is possible to provide a deodorant with an outstanding deodorizing effect. The deodorant is particularly effective in deodorizing unsaturated aldehydes, which are the main cause of "old person smell".

Description

Deodorant containing polyhydric alcohol
The present invention relates to a deodorant. More specifically, the present invention is a deodorant containing a polyhydric alcohol, particularly 1,3-butylene glycol as an active ingredient, and has an excellent deodorizing effect on an unsaturated aldehyde that is a causative substance of an aging odor. The present invention provides an age-related odor inhibitor. The present invention also relates to a composition comprising 1,3-butylene glycol, oolong tea extract and strawberry tea extract.
In recent years, various deodorizers, deodorizers, and fragrances have been developed in response to the increasing values and needs of debaters seeking a more comfortable living space. In addition, the interest of the person responsible for body odor has increased, and the demand for a product having a deodorant effect has increased in recent years.
Among the body odors, it is known that the so-called “aged odor”, which is an odor mainly recognized by middle-aged and older people, is deeply related to unsaturated aldehydes such as octenal and nonenal. Specifically, 9-hexadecenoic acid (palmitoleic acid), which increases in sebum in middle-aged and elderly groups, is oxidized by and decomposed by lipid peroxides, or decomposed by resident skin bacteria. It is known to generate a certain onenal (Patent Document 1).
As a technique for removing the aging odor, a method of masking and harmonizing the generated unsaturated aldehyde with a fragrance (Patent Document 1) and a method of capturing with ethanolamine (Patent Document 2) have been reported. Moreover, the method of suppressing generation | occurrence | production of unsaturated aldehyde in sebum which causes generation | occurrence | production of an aging odor, and suppressing an aging odor is reported. Specifically, oxidation inhibition by an antioxidant (Patent Document 3), lipid peroxide production by a lipoxygenase inhibitor (Patent Document 4), growth inhibition by an antibacterial agent of skin resident bacteria involved in fatty acid production (Patent Document 4) Patent Document 5) reports a method for suppressing the generation of unsaturated aldehydes.
On the other hand, many cosmetics contain a polyhydric alcohol, and glycerin, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, and 1,3-butylene glycol are often used from the viewpoint of supply stability. Among these, 1,3-butylene glycol is known to be useful for cosmetic applications because it has non-volatile properties, low toxicity, and moisturizing properties. Specifically, it has been reported that it has a moisturizing action (Patent Document 6) and an antibacterial action / preservative action (Patent Document 7).
