본 발명에서 제안하고 있는 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물에 따르면, 이온을 방출하는 토르마린, 광촉매 기능을 가진 이산화티타늄, Ce3+ 또는 Ce4+ 원소를 가진 희토 광물, 및 SiO2 함량이 높은 활석을 일정 비율로 혼합하여 도료 조성물을 제조함으로써, 인체에 유익한 음이온 방출 능력을 향상시키고, 음이온 증가로 인해 공기 정화 및 광합성 식물 성장을 촉진시키고, 인체에 유익한 원적외선을 방출한다.
Description
본 발명은 도료 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 보다 구체적으로는 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 기능을 갖는 도료 조성물에 관한 것이다.
오래전부터 각종 합성수지를 원료로 하는 건축물의 내장재는 합성수지 도료를 비롯하여 합성수지 벽지, 합성수지 발포 벽지, 바닥재, 내장 벽재, 천장재, 접착제에 이르기까지 다양한 형태로 이용되어왔다. 이와 같은 합성수지 제품들은 합성수지에 각종 첨가제가 첨가되어 제조된 제품들로서, 도료 또한 합성수지에 각종 첨가제가 첨가되고 휘발성 용제까지 포함된다.
합성수지나 합성수지 첨가제 중의 일부 물질들이 인체에 유해한 물질임이 밝혀짐에 따라, 선진국에서는 오래전부터 인체에 유해한 합성수지나 첨가물들의 사용을 규제하고 있고, 근년에 이르러 국내에서도 인체에 유해한 합성수지나 첨가제 또는 이를 사용하여 만들어진 건축용 내장재를 비롯하여 식품 포장재, 용기 등을 규제하고 있는 실정이다. 구체적인 예를 들면, 종래 포장재, 용기, 합성수지용기 등으로 가장 많이 사용되어온 PVC는 필요한 물성을 얻기 위하여 디옥틸프타데이트(DOP), 디부틸프타데이트 디 프로필 프타레이트 등의 가소제와 안정제, 충진제, 점도 조절제 등이 첨가되고 합성수지재의 도료 역시 첨가제가 첨가되며 여기에 용제까지 첨가된다.
이러한 합성수지에 사용되는 가소제 등은 현재 일본 후생성이나 미국 환경청에서 환경호르몬 추정 물질로 지정되어 있고, 안정제 중에서 바륨계 안정제도 9가지 규제 중금속(Pb, Cd, As, Se, Cr, Sb, Hg, Ba) 중에 포함되어 있다. 또한, 건축 자재로 사용되어온 PVC를 비롯한 열가소성 수지들은 내열성이 좋지 않고 인화성이 커서 화재의 위험성이 있고, 특히 PVC는 화재 시 고온에서 즉시 분해되어 염소 가스를 발생하게 되므로 질식사의 위험 또한 크며, 그 예가 빈번하였다. 그밖에 열경화성 수지로 한때 다량으로 사용되어온 멜라민수지나 요소수지로 제조되어온 주방용기, 컵, 공기 등은 포름알데히드를 침출시키거나 발생시키므로 현재에는 거의 사용하지 않는다.
특히, 합성수지계 도료 및 바름재, 합성수지계 접착제 역시 합성수지의 종류에 따라 용해되는 용제를 선택하게 됨으로써 VOC(Volatile Organic Compounds)을 발생하게 되어 현기증과 두통을 일으킬 수 있고 호흡기에 영향을 주며 아토피성 피부 질환을 유발시킬 수 있다. 합성수지계 도료 이전부터 등장했던 건성유, 반건성유를 이용하여 제조되는 페인트도 현재까지 많이 사용하고 있어 지방산 특유의 냄새를 발생시키고 있고, 근간에는 시멘트 독성 공해까지 더하여 실내 공간 분위기를 크게 오염시키고 있어 친환경적인 소재를 선호하고 있는 실정이다.
이상과 같이 공해 요인을 발생시키는 합성수지계의 도료를 포함한 건축 내장재의 문제점을 해결하는 대책의 하나로 음이온을 발생하는 도료 조성물이 개발되어 보급되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 제품은 음이온과 양이온이 동시에 발생되고, 인위적으로 음이온을 발생시키는 전기 제품에서 발생한 음이온은 전기 에너지를 소모하고 전기에 의존하는 한계가 있다. 또한, 토르마린(Tourmaline)이라는 광물을 응용한 건축 마감재도 있는데, 이는 표면을 순차적으로 증착시켜 음이온의 자연 방출을 막는 문제점이 있고, 생활 일용품에 토르마린을 사용한 제품은 실리콘 같은 고분자 물질과 혼합하여 음이온의 자연 방출을 전혀 못하게 하고 방사만 하므로 토르마린 고유의 효능을 떨어지게 하는 문제점이 있다.
본 발명은 기존에 제안된 방법들의 상기와 같은 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 제안된 것으로서, 음이온을 방출하는 토르마린, 광촉매 기능을 가진 이산화티타늄, Ce3+ 또는 Ce4+ 원소를 가진 희토 광물, 및 SiO2 함량이 높은 활석을 일정 비율로 혼합하여 도료 조성물을 제조함으로써, 인체에 유익한 음이온 방출 능력을 향상시키고, 음이온 증가로 인해 탈취 및 항균 효과가 뛰어나며, 공기 정화 및 광합성 식물 성장을 촉진시킬 뿐 아니라, 인체에 유익한 원적외선을 방출하는, 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물을 제공하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다.
상기한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 특징에 따른 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은,
토르마린 100 중량부,
이산화티타늄 200 내지 400 중량부,
Ce3+ 또는 Ce4+ 원소를 포함하는 희토 광물 200 내지 450 중량부, 및
SiO2 함량이 높은 활석 200 내지 400 중량부를 포함하는 것을 그 구성상의 특징으로 한다.
바람직하게는, 상기 토르마린은,
표면에 수산화기가 작용하여 이온 촉매 기능을 갖도록 물과 혼합한 습 토르마린일 수 있다.
더욱 바람직하게는, 상기 습 토르마린은,
알칼리수와 혼합한 것일 수 있다.
바람직하게는, 상기 토르마린은,
표면적을 넓히기 위해 분말 형태일 수 있다.
바람직하게는,
상기 이산화티타늄, 희토 광물, 및 활석의 혼합 비율은 중량 비율로 1:1~1.2:1일 수 있다.
본 발명에서 제안하고 있는 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물에 따르면, 음이온을 방출하는 토르마린, 광촉매 기능을 가진 이산화티타늄, Ce3+ 또는 Ce4+ 원소를 가진 희토 광물, 및 SiO2 함량이 높은 활석을 일정 비율로 혼합하여 도료 조성물을 제조함으로써, 인체에 유익한 음이온 방출 능력을 향상시키고, 음이온 증가로 인해 탈취 및 항균 효과가 뛰어나며, 공기 정화 및 광합성 식물 성장을 촉진시킬 뿐 아니라, 인체에 유익한 원적외선을 방출한다.
본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 상세하게 설명함에 있어, 관련된 공지 기능 또는 구성에 대한 구체적인 설명이 본 발명의 요지를 불필요하게 흐릴 수 있다고 판단되는 경우에는 그 상세한 설명을 생략한다.
덧붙여, 명세서 전체에서, 어떤 부분이 다른 부분과 ‘연결’ 되어 있다고 할 때, 이는 ‘직접적으로 연결’ 되어 있는 경우뿐만 아니라, 그 중간에 다른 소자를 사이에 두고 ‘간접적으로 연결’ 되어 있는 경우도 포함한다. 또한, 어떤 구성요소를 ‘포함’ 한다는 것은, 특별히 반대되는 기재가 없는 한 다른 구성요소를 제외하는 것이 아니라 다른 구성요소를 더 포함할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다.
본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은, 토르마린 100 중량부, 이산화티타늄 200 내지 400 중량부, Ce3+ 또는 Ce4+ 원소를 포함하는 희토 광물 200 내지 450 중량부, 및 SiO2 함량이 높은 활석 200 내지 400 중량부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 보다 구체적으로는, 토르마린은 표면에 수산화기가 작용하여 이온 촉매 기능을 갖도록 물과 혼합한 습 토르마린일 수 있으며, 습 토르마린은 알칼리수와 혼합하여 수산화기가 보다 잘 작용할 수 있도록 할 수 있다. 또한, 토르마린은 물과 반응하는 표면적을 넓게 하기 위해 분말 형태로 할 수 있다. 한편, 이산화티타늄과 희토 광물은 촉매 작용을 하므로 비슷한 양으로 혼합되었을 때보다 높은 효율을 낼 수 있기 때문에 이산화티타늄, 희토 광물, 및 활석의 혼합 비율은 중량 비율로 1:1~1.2:1일 수 있다.
본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은, 전기와 같은 에너지에 의존하지 않고서도 음이온을 다량 영구적으로 자연 방출되게 할 수 있다. 즉, 음이온을 반영구적으로 자연 방출하고, 이렇게 방출되는 음이온을 통해 공기정화 및 냄새탈취, 항균 작용, 항 곰팡이 작용을 하며, 활석을 포함함으로써 인체에 유익한 원적외선을 방사할 수 있다.
이하에서는, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물에서 음이온이 발생되는 과정을 상세히 설명하도록 한다.
토르마린은 그 화학식이 XY3Z6[Si6O18][BO3]3(O,OH,F)4인데, 이때 X=Ca.K.Na; Y=Fe2+.Mg2+,Al,Li,Fe3+,Mn2+; Z=Al,Cr3-,Fe3+이다. 토르마린의 표면에 있는 Na+, Mg2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, B3+가 물과 반응하여 수산화기를 갖게 되고, 음이온을 띄게 된다. 이러한 음이온이 주변의 물, 또는 공기 중의 양이온을 끌어당겨서 음이온 농도를 높이게 된다.
물에서는 토르마린의 금속 이온과 영구 전극에 의해 음이온과 수소가 발생하게 되고, 그 반응식은 2H2O+e→H3O2-+1/2H2이다. 특히, 알칼리수는 H2O가 수소 이온(H+)과 수산화 이온(OH-)으로 해리되어 수소 이온은 대부분 전자를 받아 H2가 되고, 수산화 이온 중 일부는 양이온과 결합하고 나머지는 물속에 이온으로 그대로 남게 된다.
이산화티타늄(TiO2)과 희토 광물의 Ce3+ 또는 Ce4+ 이온은 이온 상승 촉매 작용을 하는데, 물이 수소 이온(H+)과 수산화 이온(OH-)으로 해리되고, 수소 이온이 H2가 되는 과정을 촉진시키는 작용을 한다. 즉, 토르마린, 이산화티타늄, 희토 광물은 물, 공기와 상승 해리 반응하여 적은 질량으로도 최대량의 음이온을 연속 방출한다. 이러한 과정에는 전기에너지가 필요한 것도 아니어서, 기존의 음이온 방출 도료 조성물에 비해 에너지가 절약되는 효과가 있다.
본 발명은 이하의 실시예에 의하여 더욱 상세히 설명되나, 본 발명이 이하의 실시예에 의해 어떤 식으로든 제한되는 것은 아니다.

상기 표 1에 표시한 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은 토르마린, 이산화티타늄, 희토 광물, 및 활석을 주요 성분으로 하며, 물과 전분 및 기타 물질을 더 포함하여 도료 조성물로 제조될 수 있다.
즉, 분말 형태의 토르마린을 물과 혼합하여 습 토르마린을 제조하고, 이산화티타늄, 희토 광물, 및 활석을 혼합한다. 습 토르마린과 이산화티타늄, 희토 광물, 및 활석 혼합물을 혼합하고, 나머지 전분 등을 더 혼합하여 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물을 제조할 수 있다.
이하에서는, 본 발명의 효과를 실험예를 통하여 더욱 상세히 설명하지만, 본 발명의 권리범위가 하기 실험예에 의해 한정되는 것은 아니다.
[실험예 1] 이온 생산량 비교 측정
실시예에 포함된 천연 광물을 각각 따로 사용한 도료 조성물과 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물(실시예)의 이온 생산량을 측정하여 다음 표 2에 표시하였다.

표 2에 나타난 바와 같이, 이산화티타늄, 토르마린, 희토 광물을 각각 사용한 경우에 비해 실시예에서의 이온 생산량이 현저히 높은 것을 확인할 수 있다.
[실험예 2] 음이온 방출량 측정
본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물의 음이온 방출 효과를 검증하기 위해, 실험 조건을 KICM-FIR-1942로 하여 음이온 방출량을 측정하고, 그 결과를 다음 표 3에 나타내었다.

표 3에 나타난 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은, 음이온 방출 도료 조성물을 사용하지 않을 때보다 현저하게 많은 양의 음이온을 방출하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 방출된 음이온은 공기 중의 음이온 비율을 증가시킴으로써, 질소, 암모니아, 이산화황 등의 물질을 제거하여 공기를 정화시키고, 광합성 식물의 성장을 촉진시키며, 공기를 활성화시켜 에너지 낭비를 줄이는 기능을 한다. 한편, 음이온은 인체의 신진대사 촉진, 세포 기능 및 면역기능 활성화, 혈액 정화, 자율신경안정 등에 효과가 있어, 생활 용품이나 건축 내장재에 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물을 사용하면, 건강 개선 효과를 볼 수 있다.
[실험예 3] 원적외선 방출량 측정
본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물의 원적외선 방출 효과를 검증하기 위해, 실험 조건을 KICM-FIR-1005로 하여 원적외선 방출량을 측정하고, 그 결과를 표 4에 나타내었다.

표 4에서 확인할 수 있는 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은 활석을 포함함으로써, 인체에 유익한 것으로 널리 알려져 있는 원적외선을 방출하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 따라서 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은 음이온 방출 효과뿐 아니라 원적외선을 방출하여 건강 증진에 더욱 큰 효과를 볼 수 있다.
[실험예 4] 탈취 효과 실험
본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물의 탈취 효과를 검증하기 위해, 실험 조건을 KICM-FIR-1085로 하여 시간에 따른 탈취율을 측정하고, 그 결과를 표 5에 나타내었다.

표 5에서 확인할 수 있는 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은 시간이 지남에 따라 효과적으로 냄새를 제거하여, 약 30분이 경과한 후에는 초기 냄새의 반 이상이 탈취되는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
[실험예 4] 항균 효과 실험
본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물의 항균 효과를 검증하기 위해, 실험 조건을 KICM-FIR-1002로 하여 대장균에 대한 시간에 따른 항균 효과를 측정하고, 그 결과를 표 6에 나타내었다.

표 6에서 확인할 수 있는 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 천연 광물을 포함하는 음이온 방출 도료 조성물은 대장균에 대해 99% 이상의 세균 감소율을 보여, 항균 효과가 매우 좋은 것을 확인할 수 있다.
이상 설명한 본 발명은 본 발명이 속한 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에 의하여 다양한 변형이나 응용이 가능하며, 본 발명에 따른 기술적 사상의 범위는 아래의 특허청구범위에 의하여 정해져야 할 것이다.
Claims (5)
- 도료 조성물로서,토르마린 100 중량부,이산화티타늄 200 내지 400 중량부,Ce3+ 또는 Ce4+ 원소를 포함하는 희토 광물 200 내지 450 중량부, 및SiO2 함량이 높은 활석 200 내지 400 중량부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 토르마린은,표면에 수산화기가 작용하여 이온 촉매 기능을 갖도록 물과 혼합한 습 토르마린인 것을 특징으로 하는, 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 습 토르마린은,알칼리수와 혼합한 것을 특징으로 하는, 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 토르마린은,표면적을 넓히기 위해 분말 형태인 것을 특징으로 하는, 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 이산화티타늄, 희토 광물, 및 활석의 혼합 비율은 중량 비율로 1:1~1.2:1인 것을 특징으로 하는, 천연 광물을 이용한 음이온 방출 도료 조성물.
