Abstract

The invention relates to a mechanism (1) for indicating markings arranged chronologically, at least partially around a main axis (3) following a single rotational direction along a substantially plane path. A support (15) for an indicator body (5) is driven in rotation about said main axis (3), by at least one needle wheel (17). Said needle wheel is engaged with a speed-reducing mobile (20) used to rotate, at a different speed from that of the support (15), a cam (30) having a non-circular profile read by a follower (35) secured to the indicator body (5). Said body (5) is mounted in a radially translatory manner on its support (15) by a guiding means (25). It is also held by the force of an elastic restoring means (26) so that it is in permanent contact with the cam (30).
