Abstract

Ein Verfahren zur automatisierten Handhabung von Schnittblumen, Schnittgrün und anderen Schnittpflanzen (22) bei der Herstellung von Blumensträußen, ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass jede Schnittpflanze während der Handhabung in einem an beiden Enden offenen Kunststoffrohr oder anderen langgestreckten Hohlkörper (20) gehalten wird. Der langgestreckte Hohlkörper kann einen außen umlaufenden, Einhängerand (44) zum Einhängen in Sortier-, Zusammenstell-, Schneide- oder Bindeanordnungen oder Förderbänder (16) aufweisen. Eine Anordnung (110) zum Verpacken von Sträußen (142) und dergleichen mit Verpackungsmaterial (134, 136, 138), enthaltend eine an einem Träger oder Ständer erhöht gehaltene Basisfläche (114) mit einer Öffnung (140); und wasserdichtes Verpackungsmaterial, welches im Bereich unterhalb der Öffnung in der Basisfläche einen Hohlraum bildet, in welchen Wasser und das stielseitige Ende des Straußes einführbar ist, ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Verpackungsmaterial sich über die Basisfläche hinaus nach oben erstreckt, so dass das Verpackungsmaterial um den Strauß herum bindbar ist, und das Verpackungsmaterial mit der Unterseite des Hohlraums eine ebene Standfläche bildet, auf welcher der verpackte Strauß selbständig stehen kann.
