- electric vehicles include an electric motor and a rechargeable battery that supplies the electric motor with electric power that can be charged in various ways.
- charging stations On the one hand there is the possibility to charge the electric vehicles at so-called charging stations by means of a fast charge with direct current, which must be used because of the high currents charging cables with very large diameter.
- Another way to charge these electric vehicles is to connect them to the usual sockets of a low-voltage AC mains, as they are found in every household, but also in many garages or carports.
- a charging port is mounted in a housing which is movably mounted on the chassis of the motor vehicle. The housing can be closed by the rear license plate of the motor vehicle.
- a disadvantage of this solution is in particular the fact that an additional charging cable must be carried to connect the charging port to a power outlet, for which an additional space must be provided within the motor vehicle.
- Another disadvantage of this known solution is the relatively inaccessible arrangement of the charging connection in the region of the rear number plate, in particular since a bumper must be located in this area for safety reasons, the construction of which is made more difficult by the presence of the charging connection.
- the charging cable and the plug By placing the charging cable and the plug below the windshield assigned to the area of the front flap of the vehicle the charging cable and the connector are protected against contamination and can still be easily removed to connect the vehicle to the power outlet.

Description
Fig. 1 ein mit einer erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung ausgestattetes
Fahrzeug;
Fig. 2 einen Schnitt durch eine erste Ausführungsform der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung;
