Description

携帯端末装置
 本発明は、携帯端末装置に関する。
 近年、携帯電話やラップトップ型コンピュータといった携帯端末装置などの需要が拡大している。特にテレビ電話や動画再生、ハンズフリー電話機能などの音響機能を商品価値とした薄型の携帯端末装置の開発が進められている。
 携帯端末装置には、第1及び第2の筐体を2軸ヒンジを介して相互に連結したタイプのものがある。2軸ヒンジは、第1の軸周りに第1及び第2の筐体を相互に回転可能に軸支するとともに、第1の軸に対して交差する第2の軸周りに回転可能に第2の筐体を第1の筐体に対して軸支する。このような2軸ヒンジタイプの携帯端末装置の第2の筐体に表示装置を設けた場合、第2の軸周りに第2の筐体を回転させるのに伴い、表示装置の表示画面の向きも回転する(例えば、特許文献1)。
 なお、特許文献2には、折り畳み型携帯電話機のヒンジに、スピーカから発せられた音波を導く導波路を形成する技術が記載されている。また、特許文献3には、マイクによる集音を行うための導波路を無線電話のヒンジに形成する技術が記載されている。

 近年では携帯端末装置に表示装置を設けることが一般的となっており、表示装置での画像表示に連動してスピーカから音声を出力することがある。
 ところで、携帯端末装置には常に小型化の要求があるため、第1及び第2の筐体内の構成要素のレイアウトには多くの制約がある。このため、表示装置が設けられた第2の筐体内には、画像表示に連動した音声出力用のスピーカの配置スペースを確保できないこともある。この場合、スピーカ及びその放音孔は第1の筐体に配置されることになる。このようにスピーカ及び放音孔が配置された場合、第2の軸周りにおける第2の筐体の向きと、スピーカからの音声の放射方向とが同期せず、音声の聞こえ方に違和感が生じる可能性がある。
 本発明の目的は、第1及び第2の筐体が2軸ヒンジを介して相互に連結された携帯端末装置において、第2の軸周りにおける第2の筐体の向きと、第1の筐体に設けられたスピーカからの音声の放射方向と、を連動させることが可能な携帯端末装置を提供することにある。
 本発明によれば、第1の筐体と、

 前記表示装置の表示画面と、前記放音孔とは、前記第2の筐体において、前記第2の筐体が前記第2の軸周りに回転することによって向きが変わる面にそれぞれ配置されていることを特徴とする携帯端末装置が提供される。
 本発明によれば、第1及び第2の筐体が2軸ヒンジを介して相互に連結された携帯端末装置において、第2の軸周りにおける第2の筐体の向きと、第1の筐体に設けられたスピーカからの音声の放射方向と、を連動させることができる。
 上述した目的、およびその他の目的、特徴および利点は、以下に述べる好適な実施の形態、およびそれに付随する以下の図面によってさらに明らかになる。

 以下、本発明の実施形態について、図面を用いて説明する。なお、すべての図面において、同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付し、適宜に説明を省略する。
 〔第1の実施形態〕
 図1は第1の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置の模式的な側断面図である。図1(a)と図1(b)とでは、第2の筐体2の向きが互いに反対方向となっている。図2は第1の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置の模式的な平面図である。このうち図2(a)は図1(a)の状態での平面図、図2(c)は図1(b)の状態での平面図であり、図2(b)は図2(a)と図2(c)の中間の状態を示す。
 第1の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置は、第1の筐体1と、第2の筐体2と、第1及び第2の筐体1、2を相互に連結する2軸ヒンジ3と、を有している。2軸ヒンジ3は、第1の軸周りに第1及び第2の筐体1、2を相互に開閉可能に軸支しているとともに、第1の軸に対して交差する第2の軸周りに回転可能に第2の筐体2を第1の筐体1に対して軸支している。携帯端末装置は、更に、第1の筐体1内又は2軸ヒンジ3内に設けられたスピーカ60と、スピーカ60から発せられた音波を放射する放音孔4と、スピーカ60から発せられた音波を放音孔4へ導く導波路5と、第2の筐体2に設けられた表示装置6と、を有している。表示装置6の表示画面6aと、放音孔4とは、第2の筐体2において、第2の筐体2が第2の軸周りに回転することによって向きが変わる面2aにそれぞれ配置されている。なお、携帯端末装置は、例えば、携帯電話機、PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)、小型ゲーム機器、ラップトップ型パーソナルコンピュータなどである。以下、詳細に説明する。
 第1及び第2の筐体1、2は、それぞれ、例えば、扁平な直方体形状に形成されている。第1及び第2の筐体1、2は、2軸ヒンジ3を介して相互に連結されている。
 2軸ヒンジ3は、第1の軸周りに第1及び第2の筐体1、2を相互に開閉可能に軸支している。このため、第1及び第2の筐体1、2は図1(a)の矢印A方向に相互に開閉可能となっている。
 しかも、2軸ヒンジ3は、第1の軸に対して交差(例えば直交)する第2の軸周りに回転可能に第2の筐体2を第1の筐体1に対して軸支している。このため、第2の筐体2は、図1(a)の矢印B方向に第1の筐体1に対して回転可能となっている。
 本実施形態の場合、スピーカ60は、第1の筐体1内に設けられている。一方、第2の筐体2には、スピーカ60から発せられた音波を放射する放音孔4が形成されている。
 本実施形態の場合、スピーカ60から発せられた音波を放音孔4へ導く導波路5は、第1の筐体1内、2軸ヒンジ3内、及び、第2の筐体2内に亘って形成されている(詳細後述)。
 スピーカ60から発せられた音波は、導波路5及び放音孔4をこの順に経由して、第2の筐体2より外部へ放射される。ここで、導波路5は、第1の筐体1に対する第2の筐体2の第2の軸周りにおける回転位相にかかわらず、スピーカ60から発せられた音波を放音孔4へ導くように構成されている。
 携帯端末装置は、例えば、TV視聴機能等を有し、表示画面6aにおける映像の表示と連動させて、スピーカ60から音声を出力できるようになっている。
 表示装置6は、例えば、液晶表示装置である。この表示装置6の表示画面6aは、第2の筐体2において、放音孔4が形成されている面に配置されている。このため、第2の軸周りに第2の筐体2を回転させると、表示画面6aの向きに連動して、放音孔4の向きも変わる。つまり、本実施形態の場合、表示画面6aと放音孔4が常に同じ向きとなる。このため、図1(a)及び図2(a)の状態であっても、図2(b)の状態であっても、図1(b)及び図2(c)の状態であっても、常に、表示画面6aの正面向き(矢印C方向)に音声が放射される。
 また、第1及び第2の筐体1、2のうちの少なくとも何れか一方(例えば、第1の筐体1)には、例えば操作キー等を含む操作部(図示略)を設けることができる。更に、第1及び第2の筐体1、2のうちの少なくとも何れか一方(例えば、双方の筐体1、2)には、回路基板を設けることができる。なお、スピーカ60も、回路基板上に設けることが好ましい一例である。
 図3はスピーカ60の模式図である。
 スピーカ60は、例えば、シート状の振動部材30と、振動子20と、支持部材40と、信号生成部54と、制御部50と、を備えている。振動子20は例えば圧電振動子であり、振動部材30の一方の面に取り付けられている。支持部材40は、振動部材30の縁を支持している。信号生成部54及び制御部50は、振動子20に発振信号を入力することによって振動子20を振動させて、振動子20及び振動部材30より音波を発振させる発振回路(入力部)を構成している。
 振動部材30は、振動子20から発生した振動によって振動し、例えば周波数が20kHz以上の音波を発振する。なお、振動子20も、自身が振動することによって、例えば周波数が20kHz以上の音波を発振する。また振動部材30は、振動子20の基本共振周波数を調整する。機械振動子の基本共振周波数は、負荷重量と、コンプラインスに依存する。コンプラインスは振動子の機械剛性であるため、振動部材30の剛性を制御することで、振動子20の基本共振周波数を制御できる。なお、振動部材30の厚みは5μm以上500μm以下であることが好ましい。また、振動部材30は、剛性を示す指標である縦弾性係数が1Gpa以上500GPa以下であることが好ましい。振動部材30の剛性が低すぎる場合や、高すぎる場合は、機械振動子として特性や信頼性を損なう可能性が出てくる。なお、振動部材30を構成する材料は、金属や樹脂など、脆性材料である振動子20に対して高い弾性率を持つ材料であれば特に限定されないが、加工性やコストの観点からリン青銅やステンレスなどが好ましい。
 本実施形態において振動子20の平面形状は円形である。ただし振動子20の平面形状は円形に限定されない。振動子20は、振動部材30に対向する面の全面が接着剤によって振動部材30に固定されている。これにより、振動子20の片面の全面が振動部材30によって拘束される。
 信号生成部54は、振動子20に入力する電気信号、例えばパラメトリックスピーカにおける変調信号を生成する。変調信号の輸送波は、例えば、周波数が20kHz以上の超音波であり、具体的には、例えば100kHzの超音波である。制御部50は、外部から入力される音声信号に応じて、信号生成部54を制御する。
 図4は、振動子20の厚さ方向の層構造を示す断面図である。振動子20は、圧電体23、上面電極24、及び下面電極26を有している。
 圧電体23は厚さ方向に分極している。圧電体23を構成する材料は、圧電効果を有する材料であれば、無機材料及び有機材料のいずれであってもよい。ただし、電気機械変換効率が高い材料、例えばジルコン酸チタン酸塩(PZT)やチタン酸バリウム(BaTiO)であるのが好ましい。圧電体23の厚さh1は、例えば10μm以上1mm以下である。厚さh1が10μm未満の場合、スピーカの製造時に振動子20が破損する可能性が生じる。また厚さh1が1mm超の場合、電気機械変換効率が低くなりすぎてしまい、十分な大きさの振動を得られない可能性がある。その理由は、振動子20の厚さが厚くなると、圧電振動子内における電界強度は反比例して小さくなるためである。
 上面電極24及び下面電極26を構成する材料は特に限定されないが、例えば、銀や銀/パラジウムを使用することができる。銀は低抵抗で汎用的な電極材料として使用されているため、製造プロセスやコストなどに利点がある。銀/パラジウムは耐酸化に優れた低抵抗材料であるため、信頼性の観点から利点がある。また、上面電極24及び下面電極26の厚さh2は特に限定されないが、その厚さh2が1μm以上50μm以下であるのが好ましい。厚さh2が1μm未満では、上面電極24及び下面電極26を均一に成形することが難しくなり、その結果、電気機械変換効率が低下する可能性がある。また、上面電極24及び下面電極26の膜厚が100μmを超える場合は、上面電極24及び下面電極26が圧電体23に対して拘束面となり、エネルギー変換効率を低下させてしまう可能性が生じる。
 振動子20は、外径=φ18mm、内径=φ12mm、厚み=100μmとすることができる。また上面電極24及び下面電極26としては、例えば厚み8μmの銀/パラジウム合金(重量比は例えば7:3)を用いることができる。また振動部材30は、外径=φ20mm、厚み=50μm(0.3mm)のリン青銅を用いることができる。支持部材40はスピーカ60のケースとして機能するものであり、例えば、外径=φ22mm、内径=φ20mmの筒状(例えば円筒状)に形成されている。
 ここで、スピーカ60がパラメトリックスピーカである場合について説明する。パラメトリックスピーカは、複数の発振源それぞれからAM変調やDSB変調、SSB変調、FM変調をかけた超音波(輸送波)を空気中に放射し、超音波が空気中に伝播する際の非線形特性により、可聴音を出現させるものである。ここでの非線形とは、流れの慣性作用と粘性作用の比で示されるレイノルズ数が大きくなると、層流から乱流に推移することを示す。音波は流体内で微少にじょう乱しているため、音波は非線形で伝播している。特に超音波周波数帯では音波の非線形性が容易に観察できる。そして超音波を空気中に放射した場合、音波の非線形性に伴う高調波が顕著に発生する。また音波は、空気中において分子密度に濃淡が生じる疎密状態である。そして空気分子が圧縮よりも復元するのに時間が生じた場合、圧縮後に復元できない空気が、連続的に伝播する空気分子と衝突し、衝撃波が生じる。この衝撃波により可聴音が発生する、つまり可聴音が再生(復調)される。パラメトリックスピーカは、音の指向性が高いという利点があるとともに、音の直進性が高いという性質がある。
 パラメトリックスピーカから出力される音波は直進性が高いため、放音孔4や導波路5の内周に入射することによる音波の減衰を抑制できる。このため、可聴音を出力する一般的なスピーカを用いる場合と比べて、放音孔4及び導波路5の径を大幅に小さくすることができる。なお、図1では、放音孔4が1つの例を示しているが、放音孔4の数は複数であっても良い。
 放音孔4を複数分割することにより、個々の放音孔4の開口面積を縮小でき、防水性を高めることができる。
 ここで、可聴音を出力する一般的なスピーカを用いる場合、筐体に形成する放音孔は合算面積で例えば10mm程度必要であった。すなわち、1つのスピーカに対応する放音孔の数が10個の場合、各放音孔の面積は平均1mm程度必要であった。放音孔の面積が大きいほど、また、放音孔の数が多いほど、水が放音孔を介して筐体内に浸入する可能性が高まる(つまり、防水性能が劣る)。
 これに対し、パラメトリックスピーカを用いる場合には、放音孔4の合算面積は例えば3mm以下(具体的には1mm程度)で足りる。
 また、放音孔4の数も、例えば5個以下で足りる。このため、一般的なスピーカを用いる場合と比べて、飛躍的に防水性能を高めることが可能となる。
 なお、一般的なスピーカの場合、放音孔の合算面積は、スピーカの面積の1/20程度は必要であるのに対し、パラメトリックスピーカの場合、放音孔4の合算面積は、パラメトリックスピーカの面積の1/50程度で足りる。なぜなら、上述のように、パラメトリックスピーカから出力される音波は直進性が高いためである。
 次に、導波路5のより具体的な構成の例について説明する。図5は携帯端末装置の模式的な拡大断面図である。なお、ここでは、スピーカ60がパラメトリックスピーカであることを前提としている。
 図5に示すように、導波路5は、例えば、第1の筐体1内を通過する第1内部導波路81と、第1の筐体1に形成され第1内部導波路81と連通する第1通音孔7と、第1通音孔7と連通し2軸ヒンジ3内を通過するヒンジ内導波路82と、第2の筐体2に形成されヒンジ内導波路82と連通する第2通音孔8と、第2通音孔8と連通し第2の筐体2内を通過する第2内部導波路83と、を含む。
 スピーカ60から発せられた音波は、第1内部導波路81、第1通音孔7、ヒンジ内導波路82、第2通音孔8及び第2内部導波路83をこの順に通過した後、放音孔4を通過して、矢印C方向へ放射される。
 ここで、第1通音孔7、ヒンジ内導波路82及び第2通音孔8は、第2の軸と同軸上に位置している。このため、第2の筐体2が第1の筐体1に対して第2の軸周りに回転しても、第1内部導波路81、第1通音孔7、ヒンジ内導波路82、第2通音孔8及び第2内部導波路83は相互に連通した状態に維持される。よって、図2(a)~(c)の何れの状態でも、スピーカ60からの音声を放音孔4より放射することができる。
 なお、好ましくは、第1内部導波路81と、第2内部導波路83の一部分も、第2の軸と同軸上に位置している。
 ここで、第1の筐体1の内部には、回路基板11と、回路基板11上に搭載された各種の構成部品12と、が設けられている。スピーカ60も回路基板11上に搭載されている。構成部品12は、例えば、ディスクリート部品或いは半導体パッケージ等の電子部品であることが挙げられる。同様に、第2の筐体2の内部にも、回路基板11及び構成部品12が設けられている。
 スピーカ60から出力される音波が第1通音孔7へ到達することを妨げないよう、スピーカ60の振動面すなわち振動部材30及び振動子20の何れかの部位と、第1通音孔7の何れかの部位と、を結ぶ直線上には何ら障害物が位置しないように、回路基板11及び構成部品12が配置されている。好ましくは、回路基板11及び構成部品12の間には、振動部材30及び振動子20の何れかの部位と、放音孔4の何れかの部位と、を結ぶ0.3mm以下(例えば、0.1mm程度)の径の直線状の隙間が存在している。上述のようにパラメトリックスピーカから出力される音波は直進性が高いため、この隙間を通して音波を放音孔4へ導くことができる。
 また、第1通音孔7、ヒンジ内導波路82及び第2通音孔8を介して第2の筐体2内に導入された音波が放音孔4へ到達することを妨げないように、第2通音孔8から放音孔4へ至る第2内部導波路83が確保されている。この第2内部導波路83は、例えば、中途において90°折れ曲がる経路となっている。このため、この経路に沿って構成部品12や回路基板11が配置され、この経路に沿って音波を案内するようになっている。第2内部導波路83の径についても、第1内部導波路81と同様に、0.3mm以下(例えば、0.1mm程度)であれば良い。
 以上のような第1の実施形態によれば、第1及び第2の筐体1、2が2軸ヒンジ3を介して相互に連結された携帯端末装置において、第2の軸周りにおける第2の筐体2の向きと、第1の筐体1に設けられたスピーカ60からの音声の放射方向と、を連動させることができる。特に、スピーカ60がパラメトリックスピーカの場合、音の指向性が高くなるため、この連動性を一層高めることができる。
 本実施形態の場合、具体的には、表示画面6aと放音孔4とが常に同じ向きとなるので、第2の軸周りにおける第2の筐体2の回転による表示画面6aの向きの変化と、スピーカ60からの音声の放射方向(矢印C方向)とが同期するようになる。よって、第2の軸周りにおける第2の筐体2の回転位相にかかわらず、表示画面6aを見ながら違和感なく音声を聞くことができる。
 〔第2の実施形態〕
 図6は第2の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置の模式的な側断面図である。図6(a)と図6(b)とでは、第2の筐体2の向きが互いに反対方向となっている。
 本実施形態の場合、放音孔4は、第2の筐体2において、表示画面6aが配置されている面に対する裏面に形成されている。このため、本実施形態の場合、第1の実施形態とは逆に、表示画面6aと放音孔4とが常に互いに反対向きとなる。
 例えば、第1の筐体1内には、マイク65が設けられている。そして、第1の筐体1においてマイク65と対応する位置には、通音孔66が形成されている。第1の筐体1の外部の音声は、通音孔66を介して第1の筐体1内に入り込み、マイク65により集音できるようになっている。
 また、携帯端末装置は、例えば、マイク65により集音された音声を、スピーカ60により発音させることが可能となっている。
 また、携帯端末装置は、撮像装置67を有し、この撮像装置67の視野は、第2の筐体2を基準として、表示画面6aとは反対向きとなっている。そして、表示画面6aをこの撮像装置67のファインダーとして機能させながら、操作部に対して撮像操作を行うことによって、該撮像装置67により画像を撮像できるようになっている。
 携帯端末装置の利用者は、例えば、表示画面6aをファインダーとして機能させながら、マイク65に対して被写体となる人への指示となる音声(例えば、「もっと右に寄って」、「笑って」、「写すよ」など)を入力することができる。この場合、スピーカ60から発せられたこの音声は、表示画面6aとは逆向き(図6の矢印D方向)、すなわち、被写体となる人の方(撮像装置67の視野の方)に向けて放射される。
 このように、本実施形態の場合、例えば、被写体となる人向けに、拡声器のように音声を放射するような使用形態が挙げられる。
 なお、携帯電話機等の撮像装置による撮影時には、盗撮抑止等の目的で特定の撮影音(例えば、「カシャ!」という音など)が自動的に出力されるようになっている。本実施形態の場合、この撮影音をスピーカ60から出力するようにすれば、常に被写体の方に向けて撮影音が出力されるので、盗撮抑止効果を高めることができる。
 また、スピーカ60として音の指向性が高いパラメトリックスピーカを用いる場合、更に他の利用方法も考えられる。例えば、利用者が音声を聞かせたい人(以下、第2の利用者)を撮像装置67により撮像する。このとき、表示画面6aには、撮像される画像が出力され、表示画面6aはリアルタイムのモニタとして利用できるものとする。このように表示画面6aをモニタとして利用しながら、マイク65に対して第2の利用者へ聞かせたい会話等を入力することにより、第2の利用者へ選択的に音声を聞かせることができる。例えば、周囲の歓声が大きいスタジアム等で、少し離れた位置(例えば、数m~数十m程度(具体的には、50m程度でも可))にいる相手に音声メッセージを伝えたい場合などに有効である。
 本実施形態に係る携帯端末装置は、その他の点では、第1の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置と同様に構成されている。
 以上のような第2の実施形態によれば、その他、第1の実施形態と同様の効果が得られる。
 〔第3の実施形態〕
 図7は第3の実施形態に係る携帯端末装置の模式的な側断面図である。図7(a)と図7(b)とでは、第2の筐体2の向きが互いに反対方向となっている。
 上記の各実施形態では、スピーカ60を第1の筐体1内に設けた例を説明したが、本実施形態の場合、スピーカ60は2軸ヒンジ3内に設けられている。このため、本実施形態の場合、導波路5は、第1内部導波路81及び第1通音孔7を有していない。また、ヒンジ内導波路82は、第2通音孔8からスピーカ60へ至る経路に位置している。
 なお、図7には、放音孔4の向きが第1の実施形態と同様である例を示しているが、放音孔4の向きは第2の実施形態と同様であっても良い。
 本実施形態の場合、ヒンジ内導波路82と、第2通音孔8と、が第2の軸と同軸上に位置しており、好ましくは、第2内部導波路83の一部も第2の軸と同軸上に位置している。
 以上の第3の実施形態によっても、第1の実施形態と同様の効果が得られる。
 〔第4の実施形態〕
 本実施形態に係る携帯端末装置のスピーカ60は、振動子20の代わりに、図8に示したMEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems)アクチュエータ70を有している。その他の点では、本実施形態に係る携帯端末装置は、上記の各実施形態に係る携帯端末装置と同様に構成されている。
 図8に示す例において、MEMSアクチュエータ70の駆動方式は圧電方式であり、圧電薄膜層72を上部可動電極層74及び下部可動電極層76ではさんだ構造を有している。MEMSアクチュエータ70は、信号生成部54から上部可動電極層74及び下部可動電極層76に信号が入力されることにより動作する。MEMSアクチュエータ70の製造には、例えばエアロゾルデポジション法が用いられるが、この方法に限定されない。ただしエアロゾルデポジション法を用いた場合、圧電薄膜層72、上部可動電極層74及び下部可動電極層76をそれぞれ曲面上にも成膜できるため好ましい。なおMEMSアクチュエータ70の駆動方式は、静電方式、電磁方式、又は熱伝導方式であってもよい。
 以上、図面を参照して本発明の実施形態について述べたが、これらは本発明の例示であり、上記以外の様々な構成を採用することもできる。
 例えば、携帯端末装置は、導波路5の放射端部(例えば、導波路5において放音孔4と同軸上に位置する部分)に面する吸音材(図示略)を更に有していても良い。この吸音材による吸音作用により、導波路5を介して放射される音波の指向性を更に高めることができる。なぜなら、導波路5内を導波路5の延在方向に沿って進む音波が選択的に導波路5から放射される一方で、導波路5内をその延在方向からずれた方向に進む音波の一部は吸音材に入射し吸収されるためである。吸音材は、例えばウレタンなどの多孔質材料により構成することができる。
 この出願は、2010年7月29日に出願された日本出願特願2010-171006を基礎とする優先権を主張し、その開示の全てをここに取り込む。

Claims (8)

  1.  第1の筐体と、
     第2の筐体と、
     前記第1及び第2の筐体を相互に連結する2軸ヒンジであって、第1の軸周りに前記第1及び第2の筐体を相互に開閉可能に軸支しているとともに、前記第1の軸に対して交差する第2の軸周りに回転可能に前記第2の筐体を前記第1の筐体に対して軸支している2軸ヒンジと、
     前記第1の筐体内又は前記2軸ヒンジ内に設けられたスピーカと、
     前記スピーカから発せられた音波を放射する放音孔と、
     前記スピーカから発せられた音波を前記放音孔へ導く導波路と、
     前記第2の筐体に設けられた表示装置と、
     を有し、
     前記表示装置の表示画面と、前記放音孔とは、前記第2の筐体において、前記第2の筐体が前記第2の軸周りに回転することによって向きが変わる面にそれぞれ配置されていることを特徴とする携帯端末装置。
  2.  前記導波路は、少なくとも、前記2軸ヒンジを通過するヒンジ内導波路と、前記第2の筐体に形成され前記ヒンジ内導波路と連通する通音孔と、前記通音孔と連通し第2の筐体内を通過する第2内部導波路と、を含み、
     前記ヒンジ内導波路及び前記通音孔は、前記第2の軸と同軸上に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯端末装置。
  3.  前記放音孔は、前記第2の筐体において、前記表示画面が配置されている面に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の携帯端末装置。
  4.  前記放音孔は、前記第2の筐体において、前記表示画面が配置されている面に対する裏面に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の携帯端末装置。
  5.  前記スピーカは、
     シート状の振動部材と、
     前記振動部材の一方の面に取り付けられた振動子と、
     前記振動部材の縁を支持する支持部と、
     前記振動子に発振信号を入力することによって前記振動子を振動させて、前記振動子及び前記振動部材より音波を発振させる入力部と、
     を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載の携帯端末装置。
  6.  前記入力部は、前記振動子を20kHz以上の周波数で振動させることにより、前記振動子及び前記振動部材より周波数が20kHz以上の音波を発振させることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の携帯端末装置。
  7.  前記振動子は圧電振動子であることを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載の携帯端末装置。
  8.  前記振動子はMEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems)であることを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載の携帯端末装置。
