Abstract

내부순환 유동층 중합반응기를 이용하여, 높은 생산성으로 알파-올레핀을 중합하는 방법이 개시된다. 상기 알파-올레핀의 기상중합 방법은, 1종 이상의 알파-올레핀 및 불활성 기체를 포함하는 순환기체를 반응기로 공급하는 단계; 상기 반응기 내부의 분리된 2개의 중합영역에서, 상기 알파-올레핀을 폴리올레핀으로 중합하는 단계; 및 생성된 폴리올레핀 중합체를 반응기로부터 배출시키는 단계를 포함한다. 여기서, 상기 반응기는 드래프트관에 의하여 상기 2개의 중합영역으로 구획되며, 상기 드래프트관의 내부는, 성장하는 폴리올레핀 중합체가 고속 유동화 조건에서 상승 이동하는 라이저(Riser) 영역을 형성하고, 상기 드래프트관의 외부는, 상기 라이저 영역을 통과한 폴리올레핀 중합체가 중력에 의하여 하강 이동하는 애뉼러스(annulus) 영역을 형성하며, 상기 애뉼러스 영역을 통과한 폴리올레핀 중합체는 다시 상기 라이저 영역의 하부로 도입되어, 상기 폴리올레핀 중합체가 상기 라이저 영역과 애뉼러스 영역을 순환 이동하면서 중합된다.
