Abstract

본 발명은 아민기 등으로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자가 반도체성 탄소나노튜브의 카르복실기와 선택적으로 결합한다는 점을 이용하여, 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 분리하는 방법에 관한것으로, 저비용으로, 별도의 고가 장비 없이 분리할 수 있다.

Description

탄소나노튜브의 분리방법
본 발명은 자성 나노입자를 이용한 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브의 분리방법에 관한 것이다.
탄소나노튜브는 뛰어난 기계적, 전기적 성질을 갖는다. 이 때문에, 상기 탄소나노튜브는 전자원 재료 및 도전 수지재료 등 폭넓은 분야에서 이용될 수 있다. 특히 단일벽 탄소나노튜브(Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes, SWNTs)는 우수한 전자특성을 갖기 때문에 상기 특성의 이용이 강하게 요망되고 있다.
상기 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 직경이 수 nm이고, 길이는 수십 nm 내지 수 cm에 달하며, 하나의 원자층 두께에 해당하는 벽을 가지고 있다. 이러한 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 키랄성(chirality)에 따라 반도체성(sc-SWNTs) 또는 금속성(met-SWNTs)의 성질을 띠며, 종래 합성되는 단일벽탄소나노튜브는 약 70%의 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브 및 30%의 금속성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브로 이루어지게 된다.
따라서, 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 실질적인 응용을 위해서는 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브와 금속성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 대량 분리가 선행되어야 한다.
이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 분리시킬 수 있는 다양한 방법들이 개발되었다. 교류 유전 영동 방법, 선택적 산화 방법, 아민기 추출 방법, 방향족 추출 방법, 폴리머 랩핑 방법, 밀도구배 고속원심분리 방법, ODA(octadecylamine)라는 계면활성제를 사용하는 방법 등이 그 예이다. 하지만, 상기 방법으로는 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 대량으로 분리하기 어렵거나, 분리 비용이 많이 필요하다는 문제점이 있었다. 또한, 상기 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 분산성이 낮으므로(번들 현상으로 응집함) 실용화 하기 어렵다는 문제점이 있었다.
본 발명은 아민기 등의 작용기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자가 반도체성 탄소나노튜브의 카르복실기와 선택적으로 결합한다는 점을 이용하여, 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 분리하는 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
본 발명은 상기 과제를 해결하기 위한 수단으로서, 표면에 기능기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브를 포함하는 탄소나노튜브 용액과 상기 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자를 혼합하는 단계; 및
상기 단계에 의해 제조된 혼합물에 자기장을 인가하여 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 분리하는 단계를 포함하는 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법을 제공 한다.
또한, 본 발명은 상기 과제를 해결하기 위한 다른 수단으로서, 표면에 기능기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브 및 상기 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기로 표면 개질된 자성 나노입자를 포함하는 조성물을 제공 한다.
본 발명에서는 저비용이고, 별도의 고가 장비 없이 간단하게 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 분리할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
도 1은 본 발명에 따른 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자의 제조방법을 도식적으로 나타낸 것이다.
도 2(a)는 분산된 탄소나노튜브(왼쪽 시험병) 및 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 혼합 용액(오른쪽 시험병)의 사진이고, 도 2(b)는 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 혼합 용액에 영구자석을 이용하여 자기장을 인가하는 사진이며, 도 2(c)는 도 2(b)에서 분리한 상층액, 즉 금속성 탄소나노튜브(왼쪽 시험병) 및 상층액을 분리한 뒤 남아있는 용액, 즉 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브 혼합 용액(오른쪽 시험병)을 보여주는 사진이다.

본 발명은 표면에 기능기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브를 포함하는 탄소나노튜브 용액과 상기 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자를 혼합하는 단계; 및
상기 단계에 의해 제조된 혼합물에 자기장을 인가하여 반도체성 탄소나노튜브와 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 분리하는 단계를 포함하는 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법에 관한 것이다.
이하, 본 발명의 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법을 보다 상세하게 설명한다.
본 발명에서 탄소나노튜브 용액은 표면에 기능기가 형성되어 있는 탄소나노튜브를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명에서 상기 탄소나노튜브의 종류는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 단일벽 탄소나노튜브 및 이중벽 탄소나노튜브 등의 단독 또는 이종 이상 을 사용할 수 있다. 본 발명에서는 단일벽 탄소나노튜브가 좋다. 상기 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 우수한 전자특성을 지니기 때문에 산업상 이용 가능성이 높다.
또한, 본 발명에서 상기 탄소나노튜브는 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 포함하는 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명에서 상기 탄소나노튜브는 시중에서 시판되는 제품을 제한없이 사용할 수 있으며, 또한, 실험실 등에서 합성하여 사용할 수 있다.
본 발명에서 상기 탄소나노튜브를 합성하는 방법은 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 이 분야에서 통상적으로 사용되는 방법을 사용할 수 있다. 본 발명에서는 상기 탄소나노튜브를 전기 방전법(arc discharge), 레이저 삭마법(laser ablation), 화학기상증착법(CVD, chemical vapor deposition) 또는 일산화탄소의 고압촉매 분해법(HiPco) 등의 방법으로 합성할 수 있다.
상기 방법에 의해 합성된 탄소나노튜브는 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 포함하게 된다.
본 발명의 탄소나노튜브는 그 표면에 기능기가 형성되어 있다. 상기 기능기의 종류는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 예를 들면, 시안기, 아민기, 히드록시기, 카르복실기, 할라이드기, 질산기, 티오시안기, 티오황산기 및 비닐기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상일 수 있다.
본 발명에서는 탄소나노튜브의 표면에 카르복실기가 형성된 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명에서 상기 탄소나노튜브의 표면에 카르복실기가 형성될 경우, 상기 카르복실기의 형성은 탄소나노튜브를 산 처리함으로써 수행될 수 있다.
본 발명에서 산 처리는 산 용매를 사용할 수 있다. 여기서, 사용되는 산 용매는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 이 분야에서 사용되는 일반적인 산 용매를 제한없이 사용할 수 있다. 특히, 본 발명에서는 산 용매로 질산, 염산, 황산, 과산화수소 및 이들의 혼합물을 사용할 수 있고, 바람직하게는 황산 및 질산의 혼합물을 사용할 수 있다. 이 때, 상기 황산 및 질산의 비율은 3 : 1 인 것이 좋다.
본 발명에서 산 처리 시간은 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 15 시간 내지 35 시간 동안 수행될 수 있다.
본 발명에서, 탄소나노튜브의 산 처리의 수행 중 초음파 처리를 함께 수행할 수 있다. 이 때, 초음파 처리는 산 처리의 수행 중 약 10 시간 동안 수행하는 것이 바람직하다. 이 때, 초음파의 세기는 400 W 내지 500 W인 것이 좋다. 상기 산처리 시간 및 초음파 세기를 조절함으로써, 탄소나노튜브의 크기를 조절할 수 있다.
본 발명에의해 산 처리된 탄소나노튜브는 탄소나노튜브, 즉 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브의 표면에 카르복실기를 형성하게 된다.
또한, 본 발명에서 산 처리는 카르복실기의 형성 외에 불순물을 제거하는 효과를 가진다. 본 발명에서 탄소나노튜브를 합성하면, 상기 탄소나노튜브는 전이금속 및/또는 무결정 탄소 등의 기타 불순물을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 탄소나노튜브에 포함되는 기타 불순물은 산 처리를 통해 제거할 수 있다.
본 발명에서 탄소나노튜브 용액은 표면에 기능기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브 외에 분산제를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 분산제는 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브로 이루어진 번들의 형성을 최대한 억제시키며, 상기 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 또는 금속성 탄소나노튜브의 분산성을 높여, 분리 효율을 높여줄 수 있다.
이 때, 상기 분산제로는 계면활성제를 사용할 수 있으며, 구체적으로는 양이온성 계면활성제, 음이온성 계면활성제 또는 비이온성 계면활성제를 사용할 수 있다. 양이온성 계면활성제의 예로는 DTAB(Dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide) 및 CTAB(Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) 등을 들 수 있고, 음이온성 계면활성제의 예로는 SDS(sodium dodecyl sulfate), LDS(lithium dodecyl sulfate), SDBS(sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate) 및 SDSA(sodium dodecylsulfonate) 등을 들 수 있으며, 비이온성 계면활성제의 예로는 Triton X-100, 폴리에틸렌옥사이드 - 폴리부틸렌옥사이드-폴리에틸렌옥사이드 3블럭 공중합체(Poly(ethylene oxide)-Poly(butylene oxide)-Poly(ethylene oxide) triblock copolymer)) 및 폴리에틸렌옥사이드-폴리페닐렌옥사이드-폴리에틸렌옥사이드 3블럭 공중합체(Poly(ethylene oxide)-Poly(phenylene oxide)-Poly(ethylene oxide)triblock copolymer 등을 들 수 있다. 본 발명에서는 바람직하게 SDS(sodium dodecyl sulfate), SC(sodium cholate hydrate), SDBS(sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate) 및 Triton X-100 등으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상을 사용할 수 있다.
본 발명에서는 상기 산 처리된 탄소나노튜브를 분산제에 첨가한 뒤, 고속원심분리하여 탄소나노튜브 번들을 제거할 수 있다. 상기에 의해, 분산제에 탄소나노튜브 즉, 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브가 잘 분산되어 있게 된다.
본 발명에서 탄소나노튜브의 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자에서, 상기 자성 나노입자의 종류는 상자성을 지니는 나노입자라면 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 예를 들면, Co, Mn, Fe, Ni, Gd, Mo, MM’2O4 및 MpOq로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상을 포함할 수 있다. 여기서, 상기 M 및 M’는 각각 Co, Fe, Ni, Mn, Zn, Gd 또는 Cr을 나타내고, 0<p≤3 이며, 0<q≤5일 수 있다. 본 발명에서는 바람직하게 Fe2O3 및 MnFe2O4를 사용할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 자성 나노입자의 입경은 10 nm 내지 20 nm일 수 있다.
본 발명에서 탄소나노튜브의 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기의 종류는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 시안기, 아민기, 히드록시기, 카르복실기, 할라이드기, 질산기, 티오시안기, 티오황산기 및 비닐기 등으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상을 사용할 수 있으며, 바람직하게는 아민기를 사용할 수 있다.
본 발명에서 자성 나노입자의 표면개질은 자성 나노입자 및 시안화합물, 아민화합물, 히드록시화합물, 카르복실화합물, 할로겐화합물, 질산화합물, 티오시안화합물 및 티오황산화합물로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상의 화합물을 혼합한 뒤, 초음파 처리하여 이루어질 수 있다. 본 발명에서는 바람직하게 아민화합물을 사용하는 것이 좋다. 본 발명에서 사용되는 아민화합물로는 TP80, 아닐린(aniline), 메틸아민(methylamine), 프로필아민(propylamine), 뷰틸아민(butylamine), 이소프로필아민(isopropylamine) 및 옥틸아민(octylamine) 등으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상을 사용할 수 있으며, 바람직하게는 TP 80을 사용하는 것이 좋다.
상기 초음파 처리는 약 10분 동안 수행될 수 있다.
상기 방법에 의해 자성 나노입자는 자신의 표면에 탄소나노튜브의 표면에 형성된 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기를 형성하게 되며, 바람직하게 자성 나노입자에 형성된 아민기는 탄소나노튜브의 표면에 형성된 카르복실기와 반응할 수 있다.
본 발명의 혼합 단계는 표면개질된 자성 나노입자의 작용기가 금속성 탄소나노튜브의 기능기보다 반도체성 탄소나노튜브의 기능기에 선택적으로 결합하는 특성을 이용한다.
본 발명에서 탄소나노튜브 용액 및 표면개질된 자성 나노입자를 혼합하면, 상기 자성 나노입자는 탄소나노튜브 중 금속성 탄소나노튜브보다 반도체성 탄소나노튜브의 기능기와 선택적으로 결합한다.
본 발명의 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 또는 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 분리하는 단계에서, 상기 반도체성 금속나노튜브는 자기장의 인가를 통해 분리될 수 있다. 상기 혼합 단계에서 반도체성 탄소나노튜브는 자성 나노입자의 작용기와 선택적 결합을 통해 공유결합을 형성하게 된다. 여기에 자기장을 인가하면, 자성 나노입자는 상자성을 띄기 때문에, 상기 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와 결합한 반도체성 탄소나노튜브는 상기 자기장이 인가된 방향으로 이동하게 된다. 상기 자성 나노입자는 갈색을 띄기 때문에 자기장 방향으로 이동된 반도체성 탄소나노튜브는 갈색의 층을 형성하게 되고, 용이하게 분리할 수 있다..
본 발명에서, 자기장의 인가하는 방법은 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 자석을 이용하여 수행할 수 있다.
상기 분리 단계를 1회 이상 수행하여, 반도체성 탄소나노튜브의 분리 효율을 높일 수 있다.
본 발명은 또한, 표면에 기능기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브 및 상기 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기로 표면 개질된 자성 나노입자를 포함하는 조성물에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에서 상기 탄소나노튜브의 종류는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 앞에서 전술한 종류의 탄소나노튜브를 사용할 수 있고, 바람직하게는 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 사용할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에서 탄소나노튜브는 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명에서 탄소나노튜브의 표면에 형성된 기능기의 종류는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 앞에서 전술한 종류를 사용할 수 있고, 바람직하게는 카르복실기를 사용할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에서 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기의 종류는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 앞에서 전술한 종류를 사용할 수 있고, 바람직하게는 아민기를 사용할 수 있다.
본 발명의 조성물은 표면에 기능기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브 및 상기 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기로 표면 개질된 자성 나노입자 외에 분산제를 추가로 포함할 수 있다.
상기 분산제의 종류는 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 앞에서 전술한 종류를 사용할 수 있다.
이하 본 발명에 따르는 실시예를 통하여 본 발명을 보다 상세히 설명하나, 본 발명의 범위가 하기 제시된 실시예에 의해 제한되는 것은 아니다.
실시예 1. 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 제조
전기 방전법을 이용하여 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 제조한 뒤, 황산과 질산을 3 : 1로 포함하는 산 용액에 24 시간 동안 산처리하고, 상기 24시간 중 10 시간은 초음파 처리를 하여 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 정제하였다.
그 후, SDS(sodium dodecyl sulfate) 용액에 상기 정제된 탄소나노튜브를 첨가하고, 고속원심분리하여 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 번들을 제거하였다.
실시예 2. 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자 제조
(1) 자성 나노입자의 제조
2 mmol의 철(Ⅲ) 아세틸아세토네이트(iron (Ⅲ) acetylacetonate), 1 mmol의 망간(Ⅱ) 아세틸아세토네이트(manganese (Ⅱ) acetylacetonate), 10 mmol의 1,2-헥사데칸디올(1,2-hexadecanediol), 6 mmol의 도데카노산(dodecanoic acid) 및 6 mmol의 도데실아민(dodecylamine)을 질소 분위기에서 20 mL의 벤질 에테르(benzyl ether)에 녹여 혼합물을 제조하였다. 그 뒤, 상기 혼합물을 200℃에서 2시간 열처리하고, 300℃에서 30분간 환류(reflux)한 후, 상온에서 식힌 뒤, 과량의 에탄올을 사용하여 정제하여 망간페라이트(MnFe2O4)를 제조하였다.
(2) tri-aminated polysorbate 80 (TP80)의 합성
5 mmol의 폴리솔베이트 80(polysorbate (P80)) 및 15 mmol의 1,1’-카르보닐다이이미다졸(1,1’-carbonyldiimidazole (CDI))을 100 mL의 1,4-다이옥세인(1,4-dioxane)에 녹인 후, 1시간 동안 교반하면서 15 mmol의 에틸렌다이아민(ethylenediamine (EDA))을 첨가하였다. 상기를 24시간 동안 반응시킨 뒤, 회전 농축기(rotary evaporator)를 사용하여 용매를 날려 투명한 겔(gel)을 얻었다.
상기 겔(gel)을 10 mL의 증류수에 녹인 후, 7일간 투석시켜 TP80를 얻었다. 그 뒤, 상기 TP80를 동결 건조 한 후, 진공상태에서 보관하였다.
(3) 자성나노입자의 표면개질
(1)에 의해 제조된 50 mg의 자성 나노입자(MnFe2O4)를 4 mL의 헥세인에 녹인 후, 100 mg의 TP80이 포함되어 있는 PBS(phosphate buffer saline) 20 mL와 혼합하여 에멀젼을 제조하였다. 그 뒤, 상기 에멀젼을 10분간 초음파 처리 한 후, 상온에서 유기용매를 증발시키고, 원심 필터로 정제하여 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자를 제조하였다.
상기 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자의 제조 방법을 도 1에 나타냈다. 도 1에 나타난 바와 같이, 자성 나노입자(MnFe2O4) 및 TP80이 반응하면, MnFe2O4 상에 TP80이 결합하여, 자성 나노입자(MnFe2O4)는 아민기를 가지게 된다.
실시예 3. 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브의 분리
실시예 1에 의해 제조된 탄소나노튜브 및 실시예 2에 의해 제조된 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자를 혼합한 뒤, 상기 혼합된 용액에 영구자석을 이용하여 자기장을 인가하였다. 상기 자기장을 인가하면, 자성 나노입자와 결합한 반도체성 탄소나노튜브는 영구자석쪽으로 이동하므로, 갈색의 층이 형성되었다. 상기 형성된 층을 분리하여 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 분리하였다.
도 2의 (a)는 분산된 탄소나노튜브(왼쪽 시험병) 및 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 혼합 용액(오른쪽 시험병)의 사진이고, (b)는 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 혼합 용액에 영구자석을 이용하여 자기장을 인가하는 사진이며, (c)는 (b)에서 분리한 상층액, 즉 금속성 탄소나노튜브(왼쪽 시험병) 및 상층액을 분리한 뒤 남아있는 용액, 즉 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브 혼합 용액(오른쪽 시험병)을 보여주는 사진이다.
또한, 도 3(a)의 SEM 사진은 상기 도 2(c)에서 남아있는 용액(오른쪽 시험병)의 사진이며, 오른쪽 SEM 사진은 도 2(c)에서 상층액(왼쪽 시험병)의 사진을 나타낸다.
도 2(b)에 나타나듯이, 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 혼합 용액에 영구자석을 이용하여 자기장을 인가하면, 자성 나노입자는 상자성을 띄고 있기 때문에, 외부 자기장에 매우 민감하게 반응한다. 따라서, 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와 결합한 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 상기 자기장이 인가된 방향, 즉 영구 자석쪽으로 이동하고, 금속성 탄소나노튜브는 분산된 상태로 존재하게 된다. 도 2(c)에서 상기를 분리하면 영구자석쪽으로 이동한 용액(오른쪽 시험관)은 자성 나노입자의 색이 갈색을 띄기 때문에, 상기 용액도 짙은 갈색을 띄게 된다.
상기 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브의 분리는 도 3의 SEM 사진을 통해서도 확인할 수 있다. 상기 도 3에 나타나듯이, 상층액(도 3b)에서는 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자가 거의 붙어있지 않으나, 남아있는 용액(도 3a의 SEM 사진)에서는 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자가 단일벽 탄소나노튜브에 결합하고 있는 것을 볼 수 있다.
도 4는 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와의 반응 전과 반응 후의 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 633 nm 라만(Raman) 스펙트럼을 보여준다. 그림 (a)는 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와의 반응 전 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 라만 스펙트럼이고, 그림 (b)는 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와의 반응 후, 자석 쪽으로 모인 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 라만 스펙트럼이며, 그림 (c)는 자석 쪽으로 모이지 않은 부분, 즉 금속성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 라만 스펙트럼을 나타낸다. 라만 스펙트럼은 Radial Breathing Modes (RBMs) 을 나타낸다. 상기 자성 나노입자와의 반응 전 스펙트럼은 S33, M11 영역에서 각 각 피크가 존재하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 자성 나노입자와 반응 전의 탄소나노튜브는 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브로 존재하고 있음을 나타낸다. 자석에 반응한 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 M11 영역에서의 피크가 확연히 줄어들었고, 자석에 반응하지 않은 금속성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 M11 영역에서의 강한 피크가 존재하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 아민기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자와 반응 후에 자석에 끌려온 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 반도체성 탄소나노튜브로 구성되어 있고, 자석에 끌려오지 않은 단일벽 탄소나노튜브는 금속성 탄소나노튜브로 구성되어 있음을 입증한다.

Claims (14)

  1. 표면에 기능기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브를 포함하는 탄소나노튜브 용액과 상기 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기로 표면개질된 자성 나노입자를 혼합하는 단계; 및
    상기 단계에 의해 제조된 혼합물에 자기장을 인가하여 반도체성 탄소나노튜브 및 금속성 탄소나노튜브를 분리하는 단계를 포함하는 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 탄소나노튜브는 단일벽 탄소나노튜브인 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서, 탄소나노튜브는 표면에 카르복실기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브인 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  4. 제 3 항에 있어서, 표면에 카르복실기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브는 탄소나노튜브를 산 처리하여 제조한 것인 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  5. 제 1 항에 있어서, 탄소나노튜브 용액은 분산제를 포함하는 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  6. 제 5 항에 있어서, 분산제는 양이온성 계면활성제, 음이온성 계면활성제 또는 비이온성 계면활성제인 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  7. 제 1 항에 있어서, 자성 나노입자는 Co, Mn, Fe, Ni, Gd, Mo, MM’2O4 및 MpOq로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상이고, 상기 M 및 M’는 각각 Co, Fe, Ni, Mn, Zn, Gd 또는 Cr을 나타내고, 0<p≤3 이며, 0<q≤5인 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  8. 제 1 항에 있어서, 탄소나노튜브의 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기는 시안기, 아민기, 히드록시기, 카르복실기, 할라이드기, 질산기, 티오시안기, 티오황산기 및 비닐기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 하나 이상인 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  9. 제 8 항에 있어서, 탄소나노튜브의 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기는 아민기인 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  10. 제 1 항에 있어서, 자성 나노입자는 상자성을 가지는 금속성 탄소나노튜브의 분리 방법.
  11. 표면에 기능기가 형성된 탄소나노튜브 및 상기 기능기와 공유결합 가능한 작용기로 표면 개질된 자성 나노입자를 포함하는 조성물.
  12. 제 11 항에 있어서, 기능기는 카르복실기인 조성물.
  13. 제 11 항에 있어서, 작용기는 아민기인 조성물.
