- one favorite button is provided on the remote control, and the desired identification information can be transmitted by toggle-switching the favorite button.
- the remote control light receiving unit 20 receives a signal from the remote control 100
- the user specifying unit 21 determines whether or not the preference button of the remote control 100 is pressed, that is, identification information is included in the received signal. It is determined whether it is included (step S1).
- step S1 If it is determined in step S1 that the preference button 101 has been pressed (“yes” in step S1), the user identification unit 21 records the received identification information in the correspondence information of the recording unit 22. Judge whether or not. When the user identification unit 21 determines that the received identification information is recorded in the correspondence information of the recording unit 22, it is determined whether the setting value of the image quality is recorded in association with the identification information in the display device 10. To do. That is, it is determined whether the user setting information relating to the image quality setting has been registered (step S2).
- Preference setting is a function for executing an operation with setting information set for each user. That is, when the user specifying unit 21 specifies a user who uses the display device 10 from the identification information, the execution unit 12 executes an operation with setting information preset by the specified user.
- the setting information set by the user may be referred to as “favorite setting”.
- the display unit 25 displays a screen asking the user whether to register the preference setting. (Step S3). In response to this inquiry, when an instruction to register preference settings from the user is received, registration of preference settings by the user is accepted.
- the method for determining the set value of the image quality of the video is not particularly limited. For example, a plurality of sample images adjusted to various image quality are prepared in advance, and the plurality of sample images are displayed on the display unit 25. Then, there is a method of determining the setting value of an arbitrary sample image selected by the user as the setting value of the preference setting.
- the image quality such as “Luminance Level”, “Color (Color Saturation)”, “Black Level”, “Tint (Tint)”, “Backlight Brightness” with different patterns
- a plurality of sample images are prepared, and the user selects a desired image quality, and is regarded as a setting value for the preference setting. Note that the image quality to be adjusted is not limited to these.
- the display device 10 includes a specifying unit (not shown) for specifying the genre of the video
- the set value of the image quality can be changed according to the genre. For example, a plurality of sample images prepared in the same manner as in the above method may be displayed for each genre so that different image quality setting values can be determined for each genre.
- genres examples include “film”, “video”, and “sports”. “Film” indicates that the content originates from a film, and is a content genre obtained by performing 3: 2 pull-down processing on content shot at 24 Hz. “Video” is a genre of content derived from normal broadcasting of 60 Hz. “Sports” is associated with genre information of sports by EPG data. The genres are not limited to these three types, and may be various genres such as “news / report”, “information / wide show”, “variety”, “movie”, and the like.
- the registration unit 28 records correspondence information between the preference setting and the identification information in the recording unit 22 (step S4).
- the user name can be registered by an instruction from the user.
- the user name includes, for example, a father, a mother, or a child, but is not particularly limited, and can be registered with an arbitrary user name.
- the registration unit 28 records the input user name in the recording unit 22 in association with the correspondence information.
- step S5 when the registered preference setting is selected, that is, the instruction unit 23 instructs the video processing unit 24 to reflect the preference setting corresponding to the newly received identification information. If yes ("yes" in step S5), it is determined whether the video processing unit 24 is performing an operation reflecting preference settings corresponding to other identification information (step S6).
- step S6 If the preference setting corresponding to the different identification information is reflected (“yes” in step S6), the preference setting is subtracted (step S7). That is, the instruction unit 23 instructs the video processing unit 24 to cancel the preference setting for another identification information. As a result, the image quality of the video adjusted by the video processing unit 24 reflects only the preference setting corresponding to the newly received identification information. On the other hand, if the preference setting corresponding to another identification information is not reflected (“no” in step S6), the preference setting is canceled (step S8). That is, since the image quality of the video adjusted by the video processing unit 24 already reflects only the preference setting corresponding to the newly received identification information, the instruction to the video processing unit 24 is canceled to reflect the preference setting. Is done.
- the instruction unit 23 instructs the video processing unit 24 to reflect the preference setting corresponding to the newly received identification information.
- the preference setting corresponding to another identification information is reflected (“yes” in step S9)
- the preference setting is summed (step S10).
- the instruction unit 23 gives the video processing unit 24 a reflection of a setting value that is a combination of a preference setting corresponding to another identification information and a preference setting corresponding to the newly received identification information. Instruct. As a result, the image quality of the image adjusted by the image processing unit 24 reflects the combined setting value.
- the video processing unit is configured so that the preference setting corresponding to the newly received identification information is reflected. 24 is instructed (step S11).
- the display device 10 when receiving the identification information for identifying the user who uses the remote controller 100, acquires the setting information corresponding to the received identification information from the recording unit 22, and uses the acquired setting information. Perform the action.
- the video processing unit 24 adjusts the image quality with a setting value for adjusting the image quality corresponding to the identification information received by the remote control light receiving unit 20. Therefore, it is possible to display an image adjusted to an image quality suitable for the user who is sending the operation instruction to the display device 10.
- the sound processing unit 26 adjusts the sound quality with a setting value for adjusting the sound quality corresponding to the identification information received by the remote control light receiving unit 20. Therefore, it is possible to output the sound adjusted to the sound quality suitable for the user who is sending the operation instruction to the display device 10.
- step S4 the user can arbitrarily set a setting value when the execution unit 12 executes the operation. Therefore, for example, when the video processing unit 24 adjusts the image quality of the video, if the setting value corresponding to the identification information received by the remote control light receiving unit 20 is a setting value arbitrarily set by the user, the user's preference is met. The image quality can be adjusted and displayed. Note that the method of transmitting the identification information from the remote controller 100 is not limited to these.
- the operation terminal is not limited to the remote controller, and is, for example, a mobile phone. Also good.
- control may be performed in the same manner as the remote control by sending an operation instruction from the mobile phone.
- a mobile phone number is used as identification information for identifying the user, and a remote control code including the identification information is sent to the display device, whereby the user who uses the display device can be identified.
- a mobile phone with a camera function equipped with a remote control code is used as an operation terminal, the user can be photographed by the camera, and the photographed user can be associated with identification information in advance and stored in the mobile phone body. It is.

- the flowchart shown in FIG. 5 describes preference setting processing when the remote control light receiving unit 20 receives a plurality of different identification information within a predetermined time, and the user specifying unit 21 specifies a plurality of users from the received identification information.
- the predetermined time here is not particularly limited, and may be any predetermined time such as one minute.
- control unit 36 determines whether any user is performing a remote control operation after the remote control light receiving unit 20 receives the identification information. Judgment is made based on whether or not the instruction information is received (step S20).
- step S20 it is determined whether the received instruction information is an instruction “turn off power” (step S21). If any one of the plurality of users sends an instruction to “turn off the power” (“yes” in step S21), the preference setting process ends at that point.
- step S21 when the received instruction information is not an instruction to “turn off the power” (“no” in step S21), setting information for executing the operation of the received instruction information is determined.
- the target parameter serving as setting information when the execution unit 12 actually operates is determined (step S23).
- a method for determining the target parameter for example, there is a method of determining by a priority, a majority decision or an average value.
- the priority is stored in advance in the recording unit 22 in association with the identification information, and is determined based on this priority. That is, when the user specifying unit 21 specifies a plurality of users within a predetermined time, the instruction unit 23 refers to the correspondence information of the recording unit 22 and corresponds to the user with the highest priority among the specified plurality of users. Get configuration information.
- the user specifying unit 21 specifies that a father, a mother, and a child are using the display device 10.
- the highest priority is set for the father in the identification information recorded in the correspondence information of the recording unit 22 in advance.
- the instruction unit 23 acquires setting information corresponding to the father and instructs the execution unit 12 to execute an operation with this setting information. Accordingly, even when a plurality of users use the display device 10, the setting information is quickly selected based on the priority associated with the identification information, and the operation is executed with the selected setting information. be able to.
- the target parameter is determined by majority decision
- the most setting information among the plurality of setting information corresponding to the plurality of users using the display device 10 is determined as the target parameter. That is, when the user specifying unit 21 specifies a plurality of users within a predetermined time, the instruction unit 23 acquires a plurality of setting information corresponding to the plurality of users specified by the user specifying unit 21, and acquires the plurality of acquired settings.
- the execution unit 12 is instructed to execute the operation with the most setting information among the information.
- the instruction unit 23 instructs the video processing unit 24 to adjust “color” with the setting value “+10”. Thereby, even if it is a case where the some user is using the display apparatus 10, operation

The execution unit 12 is instructed to execute the operation with the average value.
- the operation reflects a plurality of setting values suitable for the users.
- the target parameter can be determined according to the ratio of receiving the identification information within a certain time.
- the target parameter is determined by the calculation unit 29.
- the calculation unit 29 When receiving a plurality of different pieces of identification information within an arbitrary time (within a first predetermined time), the calculation unit 29 receives a ratio of receiving the identification information within a certain fixed time (within a second predetermined time) and The target parameter is determined based on the setting information corresponding to the identification information.
- the first predetermined time and the second predetermined time may be different periods as described above, or may be the same period.
- the calculation unit 29 identifies the identification information of each user within 10 minutes (within a certain period of time) from that point. Specify the ratio of receiving. In this case, it is only necessary to record the reception record of the identification information received in the past in the recording unit 22.
- the calculation unit 29 weights the setting information corresponding to each user based on the specified ratio, and determines the target parameter.
- identification information is received 100 times within 10 minutes.
- the reception rate of the identification information of the father is 90%
- the reception rate of the identification information of the mother is 7%
- the reception rate of the identification information of the child is 3%
- the father with the highest reception rate is weighted.
- the setting information of the father can be determined as the target parameter.

- the instruction unit 23 instructs the execution unit 12 so that the currently executed operation is the target parameter setting (step S24).
- the target parameter may be determined by the method described in step S23. Thereby, the operation
- switching of the setting when the execution unit 12 executes the operation may be immediately switched, but is preferably switched gradually.
- an amount of parameter transition per unit time is set in advance, and when receiving a switching instruction from the instruction unit 23, the execution unit 12 changes the parameter by the amount of transition set for each unit time. The operation can be performed.
- the execution unit 12 In response to the switching instruction from the instruction unit 23, first, the parameter is changed by “+5” to “55”. In this way, the switching is performed gradually until the target parameter is reached. As a result, it is possible to reduce a sense of incongruity caused by sudden setting switching.
- the timing at which the instructing unit 23 instructs the execution unit 12 to switch the setting is, for example, the timing at which the user presses the preference button 101 and receives the identification signal transmitted from the remote controller 100, or the identified user at the remote controller
- the timing for receiving the control signal transmitted from 100 may be used.
