本発明の一の態様は、ドームカメラ装置であり、このドームカメラ装置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出するパラメータ算出部と、ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されるシフト量記憶部から、シフト量を読み出すシフト量読出し部と、パラメータとシフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定する目標フォーカス位置決定部と、ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス位置をユーザに報知して、フォーカス調整を支援するフォーカス調整支援部と、を備え、目標フォーカス位置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置である。
本発明の別の態様は、フォーカス調整支援方法であり、このフォーカス調整支援方法は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出することと、ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されているシフト量記憶部から、シフト量を読み出すことと、パラメータとシフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定することと、ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス位置をユーザに報知して、フォーカス調整を支援することと、を含み、目標フォーカス位置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置である。
本発明の別の態様は、フォーカス調整支援用のプログラムであり、このプログラムは、コンピュータに、ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出する処理と、ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されているシフト量記憶部から、シフト量を読み出す処理と、パラメータとシフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定する処理と、ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス位置をユーザに報知して、フォーカス調整を支援する処理と、を実行させるものであり、目標フォーカス位置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置である。
以下に説明するように、本発明には他の態様が存在する。したがって、この発明の開示は、本発明の一部の態様の提供を意図しており、ここで記述され請求される発明の範囲を制限することは意図していない。
以下に本発明の詳細な説明を述べる。ただし、以下の詳細な説明と添付の図面は発明を限定するものではない。
本発明のドームカメラ装置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出するパラメータ算出部と、ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されるシフト量記憶部から、シフト量を読み出すシフト量読出し部と、パラメータとシフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定する目標フォーカス位置決定部と、ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス位置をユーザに報知して、フォーカス調整を支援するフォーカス調整支援部と、を備え、目標フォーカス位置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置である構成を有している。
この構成により、ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うと、「ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置」が目標フォーカス位置であるとしてユーザに報知される。したがって、ドームカバーを取り外した状態では、不適正フォーカス位置にフォーカス調整され、すなわち、フォーカス調整が完了した状態でも、フォーカスがずれてピントの合っていないぼけた映像が得られる。ところが、この不適正フォーカス位置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮影した画像から算出されたフォーカス状態に関するパラメータ(例えばAF値)とドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量に基づいて決定された「ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置」である。したがって、ドームカバーを取り外した状態ではフォーカスが合っていなくても、その後、ドームカバーを取り付けると、ドームカバーのレンズ効果によってフォーカスが合って、ピントの合った映像が得られるようになる。このように、本発明によれば、手動によるフォーカス調整だけであっても、ドームカバーのレンズ効果を考慮した適切なフォーカス調整を行うことが可能になる。
また、本発明のドームカメラ装置では、目標フォーカス位置決定部は、パラメータに基づいて決定されるドームカバーを取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置からシフト量だけシフトした位置を、目標フォーカス位置として決定する構成を有してよい。
この構成により、目標フォーカス位置が、上記のパラメータ(例えばAF値)に基づいて決定されるドームカバーを取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置から上記のシフト量だけシフトした位置として決定される。このようにして、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置が好適に求められる。
また、本発明のドームカメラ装置は、レンズのズーム位置を検出するズーム位置検出部を備え、目標フォーカス位置決定部は、検出されたズーム位置がテレ端側である場合には、パラメータに基づいて決定されるドームカバーを取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置からシフト量だけシフトした位置を、目標フォーカス位置として決定し、検出されたズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には、パラメータに基づいて決定されるドームカバーを取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置を、目標フォーカス位置として決定する構成を有してよい。
この構成により、ズーム位置がテレ端側である場合には、上記のようなドームカバーのレンズ効果を考慮したフォーカス調整が行われ、ズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には、ドームカバーのレンズ効果を考慮せずにフォーカス調整が行われる。ドームカバーのレンズ効果は、ズーム位置がテレ端側である場合に大きく、ズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には小さい。したがって、ズーム位置に応じた適切なフォーカス調整を行うことが可能になる。
また、本発明のドームカメラ装置では、目標フォーカス位置決定部は、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態でパラメータの値が所定の目標値以上になるフォーカス位置が含まれる範囲を、フォーカス調整の目標範囲である目標フォーカス範囲として決定し、フォーカス調整支援部は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス範囲をユーザに報知して、フォーカス調整を支援する構成を有してよい。
この構成により、ユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、フォーカス状態に関するパラメータの値(例えばAF値)が所定の目標値以上になる目標フォーカス範囲に入ると、そのことがユーザに報知される。この目標フォーカス範囲の報知は、目標フォーカス位置に近づいたときに事前に行われることになるので、ユーザは目標フォーカス位置に近づいたことを知ることができ、手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス位置にフォーカスを合わせることが容易になる。特に、本発明では、ドームカバーを取り外した状態で不適正フォーカス位置(ピントがぼけた状態)にフォーカス調整をするため、ユーザが直感的に目標フォーカス位置を知ることが困難であるが、このように目標フォーカス範囲を報知することによって、目標フォーカス位置にフォーカスを合わせることが容易になる。
本発明のフォーカス調整支援方法は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出することと、ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されているシフト量記憶部から、シフト量を読み出すことと、パラメータとシフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定することと、ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス位置をユーザに報知して、フォーカス調整を支援することと、を含み、目標フォーカス位置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置である。
この方法によっても、上記と同様、ドームカバーを取り外した状態ではフォーカスが合っていなくても、その後、ドームカバーを取り付けると、ドームカバーのレンズ効果によってフォーカスが合って、ピントの合った映像が得られるようになる。したがって、手動によるフォーカス調整だけであっても、ドームカバーのレンズ効果を考慮した適切なフォーカス調整を行うことが可能になる。
本発明のプログラムは、フォーカス調整支援用のプログラムであって、コンピュータに、ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出する処理と、ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されているシフト量記憶部から、シフト量を読み出す処理と、パラメータとシフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定する処理と、ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス位置をユーザに報知して、フォーカス調整を支援する処理と、を実行させるものであり、目標フォーカス位置は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置である。
このプログラムによっても、上記と同様、ドームカバーを取り外した状態ではフォーカスが合っていなくても、その後、ドームカバーを取り付けると、ドームカバーのレンズ効果によってフォーカスが合って、ピントの合った映像が得られるようになる。したがって、手動によるフォーカス調整だけであっても、ドームカバーのレンズ効果を考慮した適切なフォーカス調整を行うことが可能になる。
本発明によれば、自動フォーカス補正機構を用いることなく、手動によるフォーカス調整だけであっても、ドームカバーのレンズ効果を考慮した適切なフォーカス調整を行うことができる。
以下、本発明の実施の形態のドームカメラ装置について、図面を用いて説明する。本実施の形態では、施設や建物の天井や壁などに設置される監視カメラであって、バリフォーカルレンズを用いたドーム型の監視カメラ等の場合を例示する。このドームカメラ装置は、フォーカス調整支援機能を備えている。この機能は、ドームカメラ装置のメモリ等に格納されたプログラムによって実現される。
本発明の実施の形態のドームカメラ装置の構成を、図面を参照して説明する。図1は、本実施の形態のドームカメラ装置の構成を示すブロック図である。図2は、ドームカバーを取り付けた状態のドームカメラ装置の斜視図であり、図3は、ドームカバーを取り外した状態のドームカメラ装置の斜視図である。
図1~図3に示すように、ドームカメラ装置1は、天井や壁などに固定される装置本体2と、装置本体2を覆うドームカバー3を備えている。装置本体2のベース部4には、レンズユニット5がパン方向とチルト方向に回動可能に取り付けられている。このレンズユニット5は、カメラ画像を撮影するための撮像素子6とレンズ7を備えている。撮像素子6としては、例えばCCDやCMOSなどの撮像素子が用いられる。この撮像素子6が、本発明の撮像部に相当する。また、レンズ7としては、例えばバリフォーカルレンズなどが用いられる。
ドームカバー3は、耐衝撃性の高いプラスチック製であり、侵入者などによる攻撃からカメラを保護する機能を備えている。また、このドームカバー3には、スモーク処理が施されており、外見上カメラで監視されていること(カメラがどこを撮影しているか)を気付かせない機能も備えられている。そして、このドームカバー3は、ドームカバー3を通してカメラ画像を撮影するために、ある程度の光透過性を有している。
バリフォーカルレンズ7は、フォーカス調整を手動で行うためのフォーカスロックつまみ8と、ズーム調整を手動で行うためのズームロックつまみ9を備えている。フォーカスロックつまみ8は、フォーカス調整を行うときにフォーカスリングを回転させるための取っ手として用いられる。フォーカスリングを光軸まわりに回転させると、フォーカスリングに保持されたレンズ7が光軸方向に沿って移動(往復動)する。このフォーカスロックつまみ8は、フォーカスリングの固定(ロック)と回転自在(ロック解除)を切替えることができるように構成されている。同様に、ズームロックつまみ9は、ズーム調整を行うときの取っ手として用いられる。
このバリフォーカルレンズ7には、レンズ7のズーム位置を検出するためのズーム位置検出部10(フォトインタラプタまたはエンコーダ)が備えられている。ここでは、図示を省略するが、フォトインタラプタは、フォーカスリングに設けられた遮蔽板によってフォトセンサが遮られたか否かにより、ズーム位置がテレ端側であるかワイド端側であるかを検出できるように構成されている。また、エンコーダは、フォーカスリングの回転量を検出してズーム位置の絶対値を算出できるように構成されている。このフォトインタラプタやエンコーダが、本発明のズーム位置検出部に相当する。
装置本体2には、フォーカス調整を行うためのフォーカス調整ボタン11と、目標フォーカス位置をユーザに報知するためのLED12が設けられている。このLED12は、手動でのフォーカス調整を支援する役割を有しており、本発明のフォーカス調整支援部に相当する。また、装置本体2には、携帯端末やパーソナルコンピュータなどが接続されてもよく、携帯端末やパーソナルコンピュータのモニタ13には、撮像素子6で撮影したカメラ画像が表示されるとともに、目標フォーカス位置に合わせられたときに「ベストフォーカス」という表示が出される。このモニタ13も、手動でのフォーカス調整を支援する役割を有しており、本発明のフォーカス調整支援部に相当するといえる。
また、装置本体2には、撮像素子6で撮影されたカメラ画像からAF値(空間周波数値の高域成分)を算出するAF値算出部14を備えている。後述するように、本実施の形態では、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態で撮影したカメラ画像からAF値を算出する。このAF値は、フォーカス状態に関するパラメータの一種であり、したがって、このAF値算出部14が、本発明のパラメータ算出部に相当する。
また、この装置本体2には、フォーカス調整の支援動作を制御するための各種のデータを記憶するメモリ15が備えられている。メモリ15には、ドームカバー3の種類ごとに、そのドームカバー3を取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されている。シフト量は、ドームカバー3を取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置Bとドームカバー3を取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置B’のずれ量であり(図4(a)および(b)参照)、ドームカバー3の曲率半径と厚みによって決まる。したがって、計算によって求めることも可能であるが、本実施の形態では、ドームカバー3の種類ごとに事前にシフト量の測定テストを実施し、その実測値のデータがテーブルとしてメモリ15に記憶されている。このメモリ15が、本発明のシフト量記憶部に相当する。
また、このメモリ15には、手動でのフォーカス調整で許容される誤差の範囲(調整許容誤差範囲)が記憶されている。調整許容誤差範囲は、例えば、撮像素子6で撮影されたカメラ画像から算出したAF値が所定の目標値(閾値)以上となるようなフォーカス位置の範囲である(図4(b)参照)。この調整許容誤差範囲は、カメラ解像度とレンズ焦点距離によって決まる。本実施の形態では、この調整許容誤差範囲のデータもテーブルとしてメモリ15に記憶されている。
また、この装置本体2は、CPUやマイコンなどで構成された制御部16を備えている。図1に示すように、制御部16は、AF値算出部14で算出されたAF値のデータを取得するAF値取得部17と、ズーム位置検出部10が検出したズーム位置のデータを取得するズーム位置取得部18と、メモリ15に記憶されたシフト量のデータを取得するシフト量取得部19を備えている。このシフト量取得部19は、本発明のシフト量読出し部に相当する。
また、制御部16は、これらのAF値とシフト量シフト量とズーム位置に基づいて、手動でのフォーカス調整の目標位置である「目標フォーカス位置」を決定する目標フォーカス位置決定部20を備えている。この目標フォーカス位置は、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、ドームカバー3を取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置である。例えば、図4の例では、フォーカス位置B(ドームカバー3を取り外した状態ではAF値が最大ではないが、ドームカバー3を取り付けた状態ではAF値が最大となるフォーカス位置)が、目標フォーカス位置として決定される(図4(a)および(b)参照)。
この場合、目標フォーカス位置決定部20は、ズーム位置がテレ端側である場合には、AF値に基づいて決定される「ドームカバー3を取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置」からシフト量の分だけシフトした位置を、目標フォーカス位置として決定する。一方、目標フォーカス位置決定部20は、ズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には、AF値に基づいて決定される「ドームカバー3を取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置」を、そのまま目標フォーカス位置として決定する。
また、この目標フォーカス位置決定部20は、メモリ15から調整許容誤差範囲のデータを読み出して、ドームカバー3を取り付けた状態でAF値が所定の目標値(閾値)以上となるようなフォーカス位置の範囲を、フォーカス調整の目標範囲である目標フォーカス範囲として決定する。例えば、図4の例では、フォーカス位置A~Cの範囲(ドームカバー3を取り外した状態ではAF値が必ずしも目標値以上とはならないが、ドームカバー3を取り付けた状態ではAF値が目標値以上となるフォーカス位置の範囲)が、目標フォーカス範囲として決定される(図4(a)および(b)参照)。
制御部16は、フォーカス調整ボタン11からボタン入力を受け付けるボタン入力受付部21と、LED12の点灯制御を行ってユーザに目標フォーカス値や目標フォーカス範囲を報知するLED制御部22と、携帯端末やパーソナルコンピュータのモニタ13にカメラ画像やベストフォーカス表示などの映像信号を出力する映像出力部23を備えている。例えば、図4の例では、LED制御部22は、フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス範囲に入ったときには、LED12を点滅させることによってユーザに報知し、フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス値に合わせられたときには、LED12を点灯させることによってユーザに報知する(図4(c)参照)。また、図4では図示していないが、モニタ13には、フォーカス調整中のカメラ画像が常に表示されており、フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス位置に合わせられるとベストフォーカスの表示が出される。
ここで、図4と図5を参照しながらLED12の点灯制御について説明する。図4および図5に示すように、フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス範囲A~Cの範囲外であるときには、LED12は消灯状態であるが(図5(a)参照)、フォーカスリングを回転させて手動でフォーカス調整を行い、フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス範囲A~Cの範囲内に入ると、LED12は点滅状態になり、さらに、フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス位置Bに合わせられると、LED12は点灯状態になる(図5(b)参照)。
以上のように構成されたドームカメラ装置1について、図面を参照してその動作を説明する。
まず、図6のフロー図を参照して、本実施の形態のドームカメラ装置1でフォーカス調整を行うときの作業手順について説明する。ドームカメラ装置1を設置場所(天井や壁など)に取り付けた後、作業者(ユーザ)はドームカバー3を取り外した状態でフォーカス調整の作業を行う。具体的には、まず、装置本体2からドームカバー3を取り外し(S1)、フォーカス調整ボタン11を押下して、フォーカス調整支援機能をオンにする(S2)。そして、ズームロックつまみ9を回転させて手動でズーム調整を行った後に(S3)、フォーカスロックつまみ8を回転させて手動でフォーカス調整を行う(S4)。フォーカス調整が完了すると、ドームカバー3を取り付けて作業が終了する(S5)。
そして、本実施の形態のドームカメラ装置1は、このようにしてユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、そのフォーカス調整を支援する機能を備えている。以下、図7のフロー図を参照して、LED12の点灯制御によるフォーカス調整支援の動作について説明する。
ドームカメラ装置1は、まず、ユーザが装置本体2のフォーカス調整ボタン11を押下したか否かを判定する(S10)。そして、フォーカス調整ボタン11が押下げられて、レンズ7のズーム位置の調整が行われると、ズーム位置のデータを取得して(S11)、ズーム位置がテレ端側であるか否かの判定を行う(S12)。ズーム位置がテレ端側である場合には、メモリ15からシフト量を読み出す処理を行う(S13)。一方、ズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には、シフト量を読み出す処理は行わない。
つぎに、ドームカメラ装置1は、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態でフォーカスロックつまみ8を回転させながら、カメラ画像から算出したAF値を取得し(S14)、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置を算出する。そして、算出された適正フォーカス位置からシフト量に基づいて目標フォーカス位置を決定する(S15)。すなわち、ズーム位置がテレ端側である場合には、AF値に基づいて決定される「ドームカバー3を取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置」からシフト量の分だけシフトした位置が、目標フォーカス位置として決定される。一方、ズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には、AF値に基づいて決定される「ドームカバー3を取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置」が、そのまま目標フォーカス位置として決定される。
フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス範囲外であるときには、LED12は消灯した状態であるが、ユーザがフォーカスロックつまみ8を回転させて手動でフォーカス調整を行って、フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス範囲に入ったときには(S16)、それをユーザに報知するためにLED12を点滅させる(S17)。そして、ユーザがさらにフォーカス調整を行って、フォーカス位置が目標フォーカス値に合わせられたときには(S18)、それをユーザに報知するためにLED12を点灯させる(S19)。
このような本実施の形態のドームカメラ装置1によれば、従来のような自動フォーカス補正機構を用いることなく、手動によるフォーカス調整だけであっても、ドームカバー3のレンズ効果を考慮した適切なフォーカス調整を行うことができる。
すなわち、本実施の形態では、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うと、「ドームカバー3を取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置」が目標フォーカス位置であるとしてユーザに報知される。したがって、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態では、不適正フォーカス位置にフォーカス調整され、すなわち、フォーカス調整が完了した状態でも、フォーカスがずれてピントの合っていないぼけた映像が得られる。ところが、この不適正フォーカス位置は、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態で撮影した画像から算出されたAF値とドームカバー3を取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量に基づいて決定された「ドームカバー3を取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置」である。したがって、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態ではフォーカスが合っていなくても、その後、ドームカバー3を取り付けると、ドームカバー3のレンズ効果によってフォーカスが合って、ピントの合った映像が得られるようになる。このように、本実施の形態のドームカメラ装置1では、手動によるフォーカス調整だけであっても、ドームカバー3のレンズ効果を考慮した適切なフォーカス調整を行うことが可能になる。
また、本実施の形態では、目標フォーカス位置が、上記のAF値に基づいて決定されるドームカバー3を取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置から上記のシフト量だけシフトした位置として決定される。このようにして、ドームカバー3を取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置が好適に求められる。
また、本実施の形態では、ズーム位置がテレ端側である場合には、上記のようなドームカバー3のレンズ効果を考慮したフォーカス調整が行われ、ズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には、ドームカバー3のレンズ効果を考慮せずにフォーカス調整が行われる。ドームカバー3のレンズ効果は、ズーム位置がテレ端側である場合に大きく、ズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には小さい。したがって、ズーム位置に応じた適切なフォーカス調整を行うことが可能になる。
また、本実施の形態では、ユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、AF値が所定の目標値以上になる目標フォーカス範囲に入ると、そのことがユーザに報知される。この目標フォーカス範囲の報知は、目標フォーカス位置に近づいたときに事前に行われることになるので、ユーザは目標フォーカス位置に近づいたことを知ることができ、手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、目標フォーカス位置にフォーカスを合わせることが容易になる。特に、本実施の形態のドームカメラ装置1では、ドームカバー3を取り外した状態で不適正フォーカス位置(ピントがぼけた状態)にフォーカス調整をするため、ユーザが直感的に目標フォーカス位置を知ることが困難であるが、このように目標フォーカス範囲に入ったことをユーザに知らせることによって、目標フォーカス位置にフォーカスを合わせることが容易になる。
以上、本発明の実施の形態を例示により説明したが、本発明の範囲はこれらに限定されるものではなく、請求項に記載された範囲内において目的に応じて変更・変形することが可能である。
以上に現時点で考えられる本発明の好適な実施の形態を説明したが、本実施の形態に対して多様な変形が可能なことが理解され、そして、本発明の真実の精神と範囲内にあるそのようなすべての変形を添付の請求の範囲が含むことが意図されている。
以上のように、本発明にかかるドームカメラ装置は、自動フォーカス補正機構を用いることなく、手動によるフォーカス調整だけであっても、ドームカバーのレンズ効果を考慮した適切なフォーカス調整を行うことができるという効果を有し、バリフォーカルレンズを用いた監視カメラ等として有用である。

Claims (6)
- ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出するパラメータ算出部と、
前記ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されるシフト量記憶部から、前記シフト量を読み出すシフト量読出し部と、
前記パラメータと前記シフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定する目標フォーカス位置決定部と、
前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、前記目標フォーカス位置を前記ユーザに報知して、前記フォーカス調整を支援するフォーカス調整支援部と、
を備え、
前記目標フォーカス位置は、前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、前記ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置であることを特徴とするドームカメラ装置。 - 前記目標フォーカス位置決定部は、
前記パラメータに基づいて決定される前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置から前記シフト量だけシフトした位置を、前記目標フォーカス位置として決定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のドームカメラ装置。 - レンズのズーム位置を検出するズーム位置検出部を備え、
前記目標フォーカス位置決定部は、
検出された前記ズーム位置がテレ端側である場合には、前記パラメータに基づいて決定される前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置から前記シフト量だけシフトした位置を、前記目標フォーカス位置として決定し、
検出された前記ズーム位置がワイド端側である場合には、前記パラメータに基づいて決定される前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態での適正フォーカス位置を、前記目標フォーカス位置として決定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のドームカメラ装置。 - 前記目標フォーカス位置決定部は、
前記ドームカバーを取り付けた状態で前記パラメータの値が所定の目標値以上になるフォーカス位置が含まれる範囲を、フォーカス調整の目標範囲である目標フォーカス範囲として決定し、
前記フォーカス調整支援部は、
前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、前記目標フォーカス範囲を前記ユーザに報知して、前記フォーカス調整を支援することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のドームカメラ装置。 - ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出することと、
前記ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されているシフト量記憶部から、前記シフト量を読み出すことと、
前記パラメータと前記シフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定することと、
前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、前記目標フォーカス位置を前記ユーザに報知して、前記フォーカス調整を支援することと、を含み、
前記目標フォーカス位置は、前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、前記ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置であることを特徴とするフォーカス調整支援方法。 - フォーカス調整支援用のプログラムであって、
前記プログラムは、コンピュータに、
ドームカバーを取り外した状態で撮像部により撮影した画像からフォーカス状態に関するパラメータを算出する処理と、
前記ドームカバーを取り付けたときのフォーカス位置のシフト量が記憶されているシフト量記憶部から、前記シフト量を読み出す処理と、
前記パラメータと前記シフト量に基づいて、フォーカス調整の目標位置である目標フォーカス位置を決定する処理と、
前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態でユーザが手動でフォーカス調整を行うときに、前記目標フォーカス位置を前記ユーザに報知して、前記フォーカス調整を支援する処理と、
を実行させるものであり、
前記目標フォーカス位置は、前記ドームカバーを取り外した状態での不適正フォーカス位置であって、前記ドームカバーを取り付けた状態での適正フォーカス位置であることを特徴とするプログラム。
