Abstract

본 발명은 종래 용량식 터치 입력장치의 문제점을 개선한 발명으로서, 터치셀이 새로운 P2G(Pad to Gate) 방식으로 구성된 터치패널의 터치셀 구조에 관한 것이며, 본 발명의 터치셀 구조는 신체의 손가락(25) 또는 이와 유사한 전기적 특성을 갖는 터치수단이 소정 거리(d)로 접근할 때, 터치수단과의 사이에서 정전용량을 형성하는 도전패드(50); 및 상기 도전패드(50)에 게이트단자가 접속되며, 터치수단과 도전패드(50) 사이의 정전용량에 의해 게이트단자의 전위가 변화될 때 그에 대응하여 출력신호가 변화되는 3단자형의 스위칭소자(40);를 포함하여 구성되며, 도전패드(50)에서 형성된 정전용량에 의해 스위칭소자(40)의 게이트단자 전위가 결정되므로, 터치입력 여부에 따라 스위칭소자(40)의 출력신호 차이가 커지므로 검출 감도 및 정확도가 매우 높고, 하이/로우 레벨의 디지털 방식으로 터치입력을 검출할 수 있으며, ADC의 사용이 불필요하므로 구조가 간소화되고 제조코스트가 저렴하며, 멀티 터치입력을 인식 가능한 효과를 갖는 것이다.
