  • the present invention relates to an apparatus for grating and peeling fruits and vegetables.
  • Fruit peeler is needed in the processing of fruits in order to reduce the time required for peeling fruits. It is crucial for the fruit processing industry to operate at minimal operating costs. Peeling using hands is time consuming and may require several workers to perform the operation, and thus may increase the operating costs. Different types of fruits have different shapes and sizes. Thus, several different machines are provided for separately processing each of the fruits. Therefore, processing of a particular fruit, such as removing the skin from an orange, is usually performed by a particular machine, for maximizing the processing speed of the machine.
  • a peeler would peel the rind (and invariably some flesh) from the fruit. It is well known in the art of peeling machine to employ a machine having two opposing ends that secure and rotate an average sized, spheroid fruit. Devices suitable to peel fruits like apples, pears, etc. on industrial machines are known since a long time and they are of different kinds.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil (10) de râpage et d'épluchage de fruits et légumes. Il est conçu pour être utilisé à domicile et il est en outre de petite taille et léger, ce qui est pratique pour son transport et son stockage. L'appareil (10) comprend une paire de pinces inférieure et supérieure (12, 14) pour faire tourner et maintenir le fruit ou le légume à éplucher. Une râpe (16) agit pour enlever de manière spécifique les incrustations sur la peau du fruit ainsi que pour enlever la totalité de la peau. Un bras de support (22) est attaché à l'appareil (10) pour porter une lame d'épluchage semi-cylindrique et la lame agit pour couper la peau des autres fruits. Une paire de lames de coupe d'extrémité (24) est conçue pour couper les deux extrémités des fruits afin d'achever le procédé d'épluchage. Cette invention épluche les fruits à des cadences rapides, permettant ainsi d'améliorer l'efficacité de traitement des produits à base de fruit. Par conséquent, l'invention consomme moins de temps et aide donc à réduire les coûts de fonctionnement.
