Abstract

본 발명은 액정 패널을 절단하는 액정 패널 절단 방법에 관한 것이다. 액정 패널 절단 방법은 상부 기판과 하부 기판을 포함하는 액정 패널을 절단하는 방법으로서, 상기 상부 기판과 상기 하부 기판에 절단 방향을 따라 스크라이브 라인을 각각 형성하는 단계, 그리고 상기 하부 기판이 그 외면 쪽으로 휘어지도록 하는 방향으로 상기 스크라이브 라인의 외측에서 외력을 가하여 상기 상부 기판과 상기 하부 기판을 상기 스크라이브 라인에서 부러뜨리는 단계를 포함한다. 상부 기판과 하부 기판에 스크라이브 라인을 형성한 후 외력을 가하여 상부 기판과 하부 기판을 부러뜨릴 때 하부 기판이 그 외면 쪽으로 휘어지도록 하는 방향으로 외력을 가함으로써, 상부 기판과 하부 기판 사이에 배치되는 스페이서의 변형에 의해 하부 기판의 시야 영역의 배향막이 손상되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
