Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné à appliquer un champ magnétique à un sujet. Ledit appareil comprend un corps doté d'une pluralité de régions magnétiques. Chaque région magnétique produit un champ magnétique qui présente une polarité opposée à celle des champs magnétiques produits par des régions magnétiques adjacentes, formant ainsi des gradients de champ magnétique. L'appareil comprend en outre une protection positionnée sur un premier côté du corps, lors de l'utilisation un second côté du corps étant positionné de manière adjacente au sujet de telle sorte qu'au moins un gradient de champ magnétique pénètre le sujet.
