  • the dumper cushion 10b deflates gradually, absorbing the compression force Fs and thus dumping the impact. Furthermore, the gradual deflation of the dumper cushion 10b prevents the phenomenon of elastic return of the energy accumulated by a back pressed against the backrest 34. The forward rebound of the back which, as explained previously, can cause e further hyperflexion of the head, is thus reduced or completely cancelled.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un coussin amortisseur (10 ; 10a, 10b) procurant une protection contre le coup du lapin, adapté pour être posé sur l'appui-tête et/ou le dossier du siège d'un véhicule motorisé. Le coussin amortisseur (10 ; 10a, 10b) comporte une enveloppe creuse (12 ; 12a, 12b) remplie d'air et ayant un trou étalonné (14 ; 14a, 14b) en communication avec l'extérieur pour permettre un dégonflage progressif du coussin amortisseur (10 ; 10a, 10b) sous l'action d'une force de compression (Ft, Fs) exercée dessus et un regonflage progressif ultérieur de celui-ci suite à l'interruption de la force de compression exercée (Ft, Fs).
