Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung umfasst eine Leuchtröhre mit einer Röhre (1) aus lichtdurchlässigem Material, insbesondere Glas, und innerhalb der Röhre (1) angeordneten Leuchtmitteln (3, 7), insbesondere einer Vielzahl von in Richtung der Längsachse der Röhre (1) angeordneten Punktlichtquellen wie Leuchtdioden (3, 7) anstelle der herkömmlichen Gasentladungsstrecke, wobei zur Verbesserung des Abstrahlverhaltens die Röhre (1) zumindest bereichsweise mit einer Streuschicht (8) zur Streuung des Lichts versehen, insbesondere mit Partikeln, wie Sand gestrahlt ausgebildet ist.
