본 발명은 글루코사민 6 포스페이트 아세틸트랜스퍼라제 활성을 보유하는 N-아세틸 글루코사민을 생산하는 변이 코리네박테리움 속 미생물과 이를 이용한 N-아세틸 글루코사민 또는 글루코사민을 생산하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
