Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vakuumpumpe, insbesondere eine Flügelzellenpumpe, mit einem Rotor, der um eine Drehachse drehbar ist und durch den mindestens ein Flügel hin und her bewegbar innerhalb einer Umlaufkontur geführt ist, an welcher sich der Rotor in einem Schmiegespalt anschmiegt, in dessen Nähe eine Auslassöffnung in einer axialen Gehäusebegrenzungsfläche vorgesehen ist. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass an einem Teil der Vakuumpumpe, das, zumindest zeitweise, die Auslassöffnung teilweise verdeckt, mindestens eine Ausnehmung vorgesehen ist, die sich zur Auslassöffnung hin öffnet.
