Abstract

 端末が要求する通信速度を満たしつつ、フィードバック量を削減する無線通信システムである。複数のアンテナを持つ複数の基地局102a,bと、複数のアンテナを持つ複数の端末103a~dと、複数の基地局を集中管理する基地局制御局101aとで構成される無線通信システムにおいて、ある一定時間(タイムスロット)の間に、1つの基地局と1つの端末のみが通信を行う(MIMO+TDMA)通信モードと、1つの基地局が複数の端末と同時通信を行う(SDMA+TDMA)通信モードと、複数の基地局を基地局制御局によって複数の基地局を連携させて複数の端末と同時通信を行う(マルチポイントSDMA)通信モードとを有し、端末からの要求通信速度を満たせるかどうかを基地局や基地局制御局で判断することによって通信モードを切り替えることにより、自動的に適切な通信モードを決定する。
