Abstract

La présente invention concerne un processus de production de gaz purifié à partir d'un flux de gaz de charge comprenant du méthane et des contaminants gazeux, le processus comportant les étapes consistant à : 1) amener le flux de gaz de charge ; 2) refroidir le flux de gaz de charge jusqu'à une température à laquelle au moins une partie du flux de gaz de charge est présente en phase liquide ; 3) séparer le flux de gaz de charge refroidi au moyen d'une distillation cryogénique en un flux de fond riche en contaminants et pauvre en méthane et en un flux de tête riche en méthane et pauvre en contaminants gazeux, le flux de fond contenant entre 0,5 et 15 % du méthane présent dans le flux de gaz de charge ; 4) refroidir le flux riche en méthane jusqu'à une température à laquelle des contaminants en phase solide et / ou liquide sont formés ; 5) introduire le flux refroidi de l'étape 4) dans un récipient de séparation gaz / liquide / solides, et 6) extraire du récipient de séparation gaz / liquide / solides le gaz purifié et un flux riche en contaminants.
