L' invention se rapporte à une structure poreuse comprenant un matériau céramique comprenant principalement ou étant constitué par un matériau oxyde du type pseudo-brookite comprenant du titane, de l'aluminium, du magnésium et du zirconium, dans des proportions telles que la phase du type pseudo-brookite répond sensiblement à la formulation : (Al2TiO5) x (MgTi2O5) y (MgTiZrO5)z, ledit matériau répondant à la composition suivante, en pourcentage molaire sur la base des seuls oxydes Al2θ3, TiO2, MgO, ZrO2 : 90 < 2a + 3m < 110, 100 + a < 3t < 210 - a, a + t + m + zr = 100, dans laquelle a est le pourcentage molaire d'Al2θ3, t est le pourcentage molaire de TiO2, m est le pourcentage molaire de ZrO2.
