 ここでは、カメラデバイス83使用時には200mAの電流が消費されるものとし、待受け状態にあっては電流消費量を少なくするため、カメラデバイス83の電源をOFFしておく必要がある(状態A)。
 なお、通常の待受け状態の消費電流は3mA程度である。
 図8において、待受け状態にある携帯電話において(ステップS801)、カメラデバイス83を使用する場合、ユーザは、ユーザインタフェース81を介して携帯電話をカメラモードに設定する(ステップS802)。
 カメラモードになると、CPU82はカメラデバイス83の電源をONする処理を実行する(ステップS803)。
 このとき、消費電流は、状態Bで示す200mAになる。カメラモードを終了する場合(ステップS804)、CPU200は、カメラデバイス300の電源OFF処理を実行する。しかし、何らかのバグで電源OFFを指示する情報がカメラデバイス283に到達せずカメラオフ処理が実行できなかった場合、携帯電話は待受け状態にあるため(ステップS805)、本来なら消費電流は状態Aの3mA程度になるが、バグによってカメラデバイス83がONになったままであるため、200mAの余計な電流を消費してしまう。
 このような目に見えないかたちでソフトウェアバグが発生している場合、携帯電話の消費電流が増加していることが殆どであり、通常使用時よりも電池の消費が早くなり電池持ちが悪くなる。このような異常状態から迅速に復帰するために、従来、予期せぬ動作時に電池を抜く代わりに手動でリセットボタンを押すことにより電源をシャットダウンし、再度電源を供給して復帰させる携帯電話が知られている(例えば、特開2004-64291号公報参照)。
 しかしながら、上記した特開2004-64291号公報に開示された技術によれば、フリーズや誤動作のように見た目の動作異常時にユーザがリセットボタンを押す必要があり、使い勝手が悪い。
 本発明は、リセット処理又は電源オフ処理を的確に行うことのできる、携帯電子機器および無線通信端末を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の一実施形態に係る携帯電子機器は、電池と、前記電池に接続されて、当該電池から出力される出力電流監視抵抗に流れる電流を計測する電流計測部と、各種アプリケーションプログラムを実行する制御部と、前記制御部にて実行可能な複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値を記憶する記憶部と、を備え、前記制御部は、前記電流計測部により計測される電流値と、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別とを監視し、前記電流計測部により計測された電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合にリセット処理または電源オフ処理を実行する。 
 なお、上記携帯電子機器は不揮発性記憶部を更に備え、前記制御部は、前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合に、前記実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別を示す情報を前記不揮発性記憶部に記憶するように制御してもよい。
 また、前記記憶部には、前記アプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値の他に、いずれの電流閾値よりも大きな値である過大電流閾値を記憶しており、前記制御部は、前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が前記過大電流値を超えた回数が所定回数に達したことを契機として、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムに係らず強制的に電源オフ処理を実行するように制御してもよい。 この際、前記所定回数は、1回でも複数回でも良い。
 また、前記記憶部には、前記アプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値の他に、いずれの電流閾値よりも大きな値である過大電流閾値を記憶しており、前記制御部は、前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が前記過大電流値を超えたことを契機として、リセット処理を実行するよう制御してもよい。
 この時、前記制御部は、前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が前記過大電流値を超えた回数が所定回数に達するまで、前記電流値が前記過大電流値を超えたことを契機としてリセット処理を実行し、前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が前記過大電流値を超えた回数が所定回数に達した場合には、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムに係らず強制的に電源オフ処理を実行するよう制御してもよい。
 また、前記制御部は、前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が、前記複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値を超える状態を検出した場合に計時を開始し、当該状態が第1所定時間継続した場合に前記リセット処理を実行するように制御してもよい。
 この時、前記制御部は、前記複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に異なる時間長を前記第1所定時間として前記リセット処理を実行するように制御してもよい。
 また、前記制御部は、割り込み処理の発生を監視し、前記リセット処理を実行する際には、前記割り込み処理の発生が第2所定時間内不使用状態になった時点で当該リセット処理を実行するように制御してもよい。
 このとき、前記制御部は、前記複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に異なる時間長を前記第2所定時間として前記リセット処理を実行してもよい。
 本発明の別の実施形態に係る無線通信装置は、電池と、前記電池に接続されて、当該電池から出力される出力電流監視抵抗に流れる電流を計測する電流計測部と、無線通信を行う通信部と、通信部の通信を制御するアプリケーションプログラムおよび各種アプリケーションプログラムを実行する制御部と、前記制御部にて実行可能な複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値を記憶する記憶部と、を備え、前記制御部は、前記電流計測部により計測される電流値と、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別とを監視し、前記電流計測部により計測された電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合にリセット処理、または電源オフ処理を実行する。
 本発明の携帯電子機器によれば、リセット処理又は電源オフ処理を的確に行うことができる。

 図1は、本発明の実施の形態に係る携帯電子機器の外観構造の一例を示す図である。ここでは、携帯電子機器として、折り畳み型の携帯電話100を想定している。 携帯電話100は本発明の実施の形態に係る無線通信装置の一例でもある。
 図1に示されるように、携帯電話100は、上部筐体101と、下部筐体102と、ヒンジ部103とを有する。
 図1(a)は、携帯電話100が開かれた状態(開状態)を示した図であり、図1(b)は携帯電話100の折り畳まれた状態(閉状態)を示した図である。
 図1(a)に示されるように、上部筐体101には、図1(b)に示す携帯電話100の閉状態においては外部には露出しない一面に表示部14が配置されている。
 また、図1(a)に示されるように、下部筐体102には、図1(b)に示す携帯電話100の閉状態において外部には露出しない一面に操作部12が配置されている。
 ヒンジ部103は、上部筐体101と下部筐体102とを開閉し、図1(a)に示す携帯電話100の開状態と図1(b)に示す閉状態とを遷移可能とする回転軸を有するヒンジ機構である。なお、携帯電話100の開状態/閉状態は、後述する制御部18により監視されており、制御部18は携帯電話100の閉状態を検出することが可能である。
 具体的には、例えば上部筐体101に配置した図示しない突起部により、下部筐体102の図示しない検出スイッチが押しているか否かを制御部18が監視することにより閉状態を検出している(すなわち検出スイッチが押下されていれば閉状態、そうでなければ開状態と判定)。なお、開閉検出は、スイッチに限らず、各種センサであってもよい。
 図2は、本発明の実施の形態に係る携帯電子機器の内部構成を示すブロック図である。 図2に示されるように、携帯電話100は、制御部18を制御中枢とし、電源制御部10、通信部11、操作部12と、音声入出力部13、表示部14、撮像部15、記憶部16、不揮発性記憶部17、制御部18のそれぞれが、アドレス、データ、コントロールのためのラインが複数本からなる双方向のシステムバス19に共通に接続され、構成される。
 電源制御部10は、例えば、図3にその内部構成の一例が示されるように、電源供給部31と、電流アンプ32とから構成される。
 電源供給部31は、電池30に接続された電流監視抵抗(R)を介して得られる電池からの出力電流を、携帯電話100を構成する各構成ブロックに供給する。また、電流監視抵抗(R)の両端に接続された電流アンプ32は、電流監視抵抗(R)による電圧降下を増幅して制御部18に供給する。
 電流アンプ32は、高倍率の電圧増幅器と、例えば、8ビット程度のAD(Analog to Digital)コンバータで構成され、最大計測電流を1Aとした場合、1A/12ビット(256)=0.003906Aまでの分解能で電流の測定が可能になる。
 これにより、待受け時のような数mAの低消費電流から無線送信時の大電流、また発熱に至る異常電流までの正確な測定を可能とする。
 通信部11は、無線通信システムを捕捉し、通信ネットワークに接続される図示しない基地局との間で無線通信を行い、各種データの送受信を行う。各種データとは、音声通話時の音声データ、メール送受信時のメールデータ、ウェブ閲覧時のウェブページデータ等である。
 操作部12は、例えば、電源キー、通話キー、数字キー、文字キー、方向キー、決定キー、発信キー、ファンクションキーなど、各種の機能が割り当てられたキーを有しており、これらのキーが操作者によって操作された場合に、その操作内容に対応する信号を発生し、これを操作者の指示として制御部18に出力する。
 音声入出力部13は、スピーカから出力される音声信号やマイクロフォンにおいて入力される音声信号の入出力処理を行う。
 すなわち、音声入出力部13は、マイクロフォンから入力された音声を増幅し、アナログ/デジタル変換を行い、更に符号化等の信号処理を施し、デジタルの音声データに変換して制御部18に出力する。 また、音声入出力部13は、制御部18から供給される音声データに復号化、デジタル/アナログ変換、増幅等の信号処理を施し、アナログの音声信号に変換してスピーカに出力する。
 表示部14は、例えば液晶ディスプレイ(LCD:Liquid Crystal Display Device)
や有機ELディスプレイ(OLED:Organic Light Emitted Diode)を用いて構成され
ており、制御部18から供給される映像信号に応じた画像を表示する。
 表示部14は、実行するアプリケーションプログラムに基づく表示、例えば、通信部11による無線発信時における発信先の電話番号、着信時における発信元の電話番号、受信メールや送信メールの内容、日付、時刻、電池残量、発信成否、待ち受け画面等を表示する。
 撮像部15は、CCD(Charge Coupled Device)やCMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)イメージセンサ等の光電変換素子とその制御回路等により構成されるカメラである。
 記憶部16は、携帯電話100の各種処理に利用される各種データを記憶する。例えば、制御部18が実行するコンピュータのプログラム、通信相手の電話番号や電子メールアドレス等の個人情報を管理するアドレス帳、着信音やアラーム音を再生するための音声ファイル、待ち受け画面用の画像ファイル、各種の設定データ、プログラムの処理過程で利用される一時的なデータが記憶される。
 ここでは、特に、アプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値(正常電流テーブル160)、ならびに、いずれの電流閾値よりも大きな値である過大電流閾値が記憶されている。正常電流テーブル160のデータ構造の一例が図4に示されている。
 図4に示されるように、正常電流テーブル160はテーブルNo(各エントリ)毎、動作モードAと、電流判定値B[mA]と、電流異常判定時間E(s)と、動作モードレジスタCと、不使用判定時間D[s]の各データ項目から構成される。
 ここでは、動作モードAとして、アプリケーションプログラム(以下、単にアプリという)の種別(ここでは、一例としてスリープ、通話アプリ、メールアプリ、WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)、DSA(Download Service Application Program)、音楽再生アプリ、ワンセグアプリ)が示される。この中で、例えば通話アプリは通信部11の通信を制御するアプリである。そして、これらアプリ種別毎に、異常と判定される閾値(電流判定値B[mA])が定義されている。また、アプリ毎に電流判定値を超えて継続する時間をカウントし、その継続時間に関して、電流異常判定時間E[s]として電流異常の判定条件を定義している。更に、ユーザの使い勝手を考慮して不使用判定時間Dとしてアプリ毎にリセットを行うまでの猶予時間を設定している。なお、各アプリ共通に、テーブルNo8に危険電流閾値が定義されている。
 なお、記憶部16は、例えば、不揮発性の記憶デバイス(不揮発性半導体メモリ、ハードディスク装置、光ディスク装置など)やランダムアクセス可能な記憶デバイス(例えばSRAM、DRAM)などによって構成される。
 不揮発性記憶部17は、例えばレジスタ(動作モードレジスタ)が割当てられ、ここには、電源制御部10により計測される電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合に、そのアプリケーションプログラムの種別を示す情報が記憶される。詳細は後述する。
 制御部18は、携帯電話100の全体的な動作を統括的に制御する。
 すなわち、制御部18は、携帯電話100の各種処理(回線交換網を介して行われる音声通話、電子メールの作成と送受信、インターネットのWeb(World Wide Web)サイトの閲覧など)が操作部12の操作に応じて適切な手順で実行されるように、上述した各ブロックの動作(通信部11における信号の送受信、表示部14における画像の表示、撮像部15における撮像処理等)を制御する。
 制御部18は、記憶部16に格納されるプログラム(オペレーティングシステム、アプリケーションプログラム等)に基づいて処理を実行するコンピュータ(マイクロプロセッサ)を備えており、このプログラムにおいて指示された手順に従って上述した処理を実行する。すなわち、記憶部16に格納されるオペレーティングシステムやアプリケーションプログラム等のプログラムから命令コードを順次読み込んで処理を実行する。
 なお、携帯電話100は無線通信のために、待ち受け状態では基地局からの信号を間欠受信している。 操作部12への操作が所定時間行われなかった場合、間欠受信を行わないタイミングには、制御部18はスリープ状態となる。そして、操作部12への操作が行われるまたは、間欠受信を行うタイミングが到来した場合に制御部18のスリープ状態が解除される。
 制御部18は、電源制御部10により計測される電流値と、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別とを監視し、電源制御部10により計測された電流閾値(電流判定値)が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合にリセット処理を実行し、もしくは電池30による電源オフ処理を実行する機能を有する。 ここで、リセット処理とはアプリケーションプログラムを強制的に停止することである。 また電源オフ処理とは電池30による電源供給を全て停止し、携帯電話100をOFFにすることである。
 また、制御部18は、電源制御部10により計測される電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合に、アプリケーションプログラムの種別を示す情報を不揮発性記憶部17に記憶する機能を有する。
 また、制御部18は、電源制御部10により計測される電流値が過大電流値を超えた場合を契機として、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムに係らず強制的に電源オフ処理を実行する機能を有する。また、制御部18は、過大電流値を超えた回数が所定回数に達したタイミングで電源オフ処理を実行する機能を有する。
 また、制御部18は、電源制御部10により計測される電流値が、アプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される閾値を超え、かつ、過大電流値より低い状態を検出した場合に計時を開始し、当該状態が所定時間継続した場合にリセット処理を実行する機能を有する。このとき、制御部18は、アプリケーションプログラム毎に異なる時間長を所定時間としてリセット処理を実行する。
 また、制御部18は、割り込みを監視し、当該割り込みが所定時間無い不使用状態になった時点でリセット処理を実行する機能を有する。
 上記した制御部18が有する各機能の詳細はいずれも後述する。
 以下、上記した本発明の実施の形態に係る携帯電子機器の基本動作につき、図1~図4を用いて概略説明を行なう。
 すなわち、制御部18は、あるアプリ実行中に電流監視を行った結果、電源制御部10で計測された電流値が、記憶部16に記憶された正常電流テーブル160に定義された電流判定値を越えた場合にシステムリセット(リセット処理)を行うが、異常発熱に至るような過大電流値でない場合は、携帯電話100をユーザが使用していない時間(不使用判定時間D)をカウントしてシステムリセットを行う。
 このことにより、ユーザが携帯電話100使用中にシステムリセットを発生させるという不便さを回避することができる。なお、不使用判定時間は、制御部18が割り込み処理の発生を監視し、割り込みが検出されない時間をカウントすることにより判定が可能である。
 また、不使用判定時間D[s]をアプリ毎に設定することで、リセットしたことをなるべく気づかれないためには不使用判定時間を長く、逆に発熱に至る可能性のある電流値であった場合はユーザの使用、不使用中に関わらず条件がそろえば即時リセット処理を行い、複数回のシステムリセットを行っても過大電流の流れる状態な状態から回復しなければ復帰不可能(デバイスの破壊等による異常)と判定して電源のオフを行い携帯電話100の動作を停止する。
 また、アプリ毎に動作モードレジスタCを割り当て、あるアプリ実行中に異常が発生した場合、そのアプリ(動作モード)に割り当てられたレジスタビットを“1”に設定し、さらにその検出電流値を保存しておく。このモードレジスタCの内容、および異常電流値を不揮発性記憶部17に保存しておく。
 このことにより、例えば、電池30が外される等により異常な状態が継続しない場合(バグは電池30をはずして再起動させることにより正常状態に戻ることが多い)、修理のために持ち込まれたメーカ等において異常がどのような状況で発生していたのか確認できるようなり、迅速、かつ正確な解析を行う効果も得られる。レジスタを例としたが、不揮発の記憶手段ならば他のメモリでもよい。
 図5に、電流判定値と、電流異常判定時間との関係がグラフで示されている。図5に示されるように、例えば、正常電流テーブル160のテーブルNo1を参照して、制御部18は、スリープ時に10[mA]以上の電流が360[s]以上流れた場合に異常であると判定する。また、通話中は、通話中の電流判定値と時間が適用されるため、スリープ時と同じ条件では異常と判定しない。
 すなわち、正常電流テーブル160のテーブルNo2を参照して、制御部18は、通話時に800[mA]以上の電流が60[s]以上流れた場合に異常であると判定する。さらに、900[mA]を超える電流が流れた場合、制御部18は、実行中のアプリ(動作モード)に依存することなく即時異常と判定する。
 図6は、本発明の実施の形態に係る携帯電子機器の詳細動作を示すフローチャートである。図6中、実線矢印はシーケンスの流れを、点線矢印はデータのリードライト(R/W)を示す。
 以下、図6のフローチャートを参照しながら、図1~図5に示す本発明の実施の形態に係る携帯電子機器の動作について説明する。
 まず、制御部18は、電源制御部10にて計測される電流に基づき電流監視抵抗Rに流れる電流の監視を行う(ステップS601:電流監視)。監視タイミングは、例えば、CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)の間欠受信の場合は5.12s毎に行う。
 次に、制御部18は、現在実行中のアプリの種別を判定する(ステップS602:動作モード判定)。そして、監視電流値と、記憶部16に記憶されている正常電流テーブル160に定義された該当するアプリの動作モードの電流判定値B[mA]と比較する(ステップS603:電流異常判定)。ここで、監視電流値が電流判定値Bを超えていた場合(S603“異常”)、更に、監視電流値が例えば900[mA]の危険電流を超えていないか判定する(ステップS604:危険電流判定)。監視電流値が危険電流値を越えていない場合は(ステップS604“安全”)、電流判定値を超えている異常時間をカウントする(ステップS605:異常時間カウント)。
 次に、制御部18は異常時間判定を行い(ステップS606)、電流異常カウント値が、記憶部16に記憶されてある正常電流テーブル160に定義された動作異常判定時間Eより長く継続していれば(ステップS606“時間経過”)、動作異常と判定してエラー記録処理を行う(ステップS607)。ここで、エラー記録処理とは、エラーが発生した動作モードに対応する正常電流テーブル160に定義された動作モードレジスタを“1”に設定するとともにその電流値を記憶する処理である。この動作モードレジスタ、および電流値は不揮発性記憶部17に割り付けられ、所定のエラー記憶領域に設定される。以降、制御部18は、ユーザが携帯電話を使用していない時間にリセット処理を実行する(ステップS612:システムリセット)。
 ユーザが携帯電話を使用していない時間(不使用時間)の計測は、制御部18が割り込み監視を行い(ステップS608:割り込み判定)、割り込みが継続して発生しない時間をカウントすることにより行なわれる(ステップS609:不使用時間カウント)。割り込みが発生した場合は不使用カウンタ(プログラム上に割当てられたカウンタ)の値を“0”に戻し、再度、割り込みのない時間をカウントする(ステップS610:不使用カウンタリセット)。
 続いて、制御部18は、上記した不使用カウンタを参照して携帯電話の不使用判定を行う(ステップS611)。この不使用判定において、制御部18は、不使用カウンタ値が正常電流テーブル160に定義された不使用判定時間Dを超えていれば、システムリセット処理を行い(ステップS612)、ステップS601の電流監視処理に戻る。
 なお、不使用判定時間D[s]は動作モード毎に設定できるようにしておくことは上記したとおりである。また、この不使用時間のカウント(ステップS609)、および不使用判定(ステップS611)は上記した電流監視と同じタイミングで行う。
 一方、過大電流であると判定された場合(ステップS604“過大電流”)、制御部18は、過大電流と判定された回数(過大電流カウント値)を加算し(ステップS613:過大電流カウント)、その回数を記憶部16の所定の領域に保存する。このとき制御部18は更に、エラー記録処理を行う(ステップS614)。ここでのエラー記録処理とは、エラーが発生した動作モードに対応する正常電流テーブル160に定義された動作モードレジスタを“1”に設定するとともにその過大電流値を記憶する処理である。この動作モードレジスタ、および電流値は不揮発性記憶部17に割り付けられ所定のエラー記憶領域に設定される。
 続いて、制御部18は、過大電流カウント値を参照し(S616:供給停止判定)、過大電流と判定された回数が所定回数(xx回)以上になれば(ステップS616“xx回以上”)、システムリセットによる復帰は不可能(デバイス破壊等が原因の電流増加)と判定する。そして、過大電流と判定された回数をリセットするとともに、発熱のような状態を防止するために電源供給を停止する(電源オフ処理)(ステップS617)。そして、携帯電話100の動作は終了する。一方、過大電流と判定された回数がxx回未満ならば(ステップS616“xx回未満”)、ユーザの使用、不使用に関わらず、システムリセット処理を行う(ステップS612)。この際、過大電流と判定された回数に関しては、リセットしない。なお、システムリセットによる復帰は不可能と判断するための上記の所定回数(xx回)は、1回でも良いし、複数回でも良い。
 ところで、システムの異常時は電流が増加することが殆どである。したがって、上記のように電流監視を行い、記憶部16に記憶された正常電流テーブル160に定義してある正常電流値と比較を行い、異常と判定された場合に自動的にシステムリセット処理を行うことでユーザが手動で行う必要があった問題を解決することができる。
 すなわち、従来は、異常動作時にユーザがリセット操作を行う必要があったが、本発明の実施の形態に係る携帯電子機器によれば、制御部18が異常を判定することで自動的に正常復帰させることが出来る。このことにより、リセットボタンを押すといったユーザに抵抗の強い操作を必要とせずに正常な状態を復元できる。
 また、フリーズ等の目に見える異常動作のみならず、ユーザインタフェース上は正常に見えるソフトウェアやハードウェアのバグも上記した電流監視によって検出でき、迅速に正常復帰させることで異常動作時に発生する無駄な電流消費を削減できる。更に、上記した電流監視によって異常を検出した後、ユーザが端末を操作していないタイミングを判定してシステムリセットを行うことで、電話やメール作成の操作を中断させることなく正常状態に復帰させることが出来、ユーザビリティの向上にも寄与できる。
 但し発熱に至るような過大な電流に対しては、過大電流の回数をカウントし、複数回のシステムリセットを行っても正常復帰しない場合に復帰不可能と判定して電源供給を停止する制御を行う。このことにより、携帯電子機器の故障、破壊を未然に防ぐことができる。
 一方、従来は異常な状態を再現するのに非常に手間がかかっていた。図7に、故障解析時の携帯電子機器の流れ、携帯電子機器への操作、携帯電子機器の挙動が示されている。
 図7において、異常発生、例えば、電池持ちが悪いと感じたユーザが修理を依頼したとしても、携帯電話事業者を含む販売店での修理受付からメーカサービス拠点での検査までに輸送時の安全面の問題や運用管理上の問題から電池が外されることが多く、このため、持ち込まれた携帯電話が異常モードから復帰している場合が多々ある。
 一度正常に復帰してしまうと、メーカで電流異常モードを再現させるのは困難であり、バグを再度発生させるために闇雲に操作試験を行わなければならなかった。このため、故障の原因特定や対策に多くの人手と時間が必要になり、メーカには人的リソースの確保の問題が生じ、ユーザにはなかなか問題が解決されず、最悪また同じ症状に陥るといった不利益が生じてしまう可能性があった。
 これに対し、本発明の実施の形態に係る携帯電子機器によれば、異常発生時の状態を記録するため、保守、原因解析、修理にかかる費用や時間を削減できる。さらに次の新機種開発時に膨大な時間が必要であるソフトバグの検出としても利用が可能である。
 なお、上記した本発明の実施の形態に係る携帯電子機器として、携帯電話100のみ例示したが、電源にて駆動する携帯電子機器、例えば、PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)、電子手帳、ゲーム機についても同様に適用が可能である。
 また、図3に示す制御部18が有する機能は、全てをソフトウェアによって実現しても、あるいはその少なくとも一部をハードウェアで実現してもよい。
 例えば、電源制御部10により計測される電流値と、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別とを監視し、電源制御部10により計測された電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合にリセット処理を実行し、もしくは電池30による電源遮断処理を実行する制御部18におけるデータ処理は、1または複数のプログラムによりコンピュータ上で実現してもよく、また、その少なくとも一部をハードウェアで実現してもよい。
 本発明を詳細にまた特定の実施態様を参照して説明したが、本発明の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく様々な変更や修正を加えることができることは当業者にとって明らかである。
 本出願は、2008年1月30日出願の日本特許出願・出願番号2008-019978に基づくものであり、その内容はここに参照として取り込まれる。

Claims (11)

  1.  電池と、
     前記電池に接続されて、当該電池から出力される出力電流監視抵抗に流れる電流を計測する電流計測部と、
     各種アプリケーションプログラムを実行する制御部と、
     前記制御部にて実行可能な複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値を記憶する記憶部と、を備え、
     前記制御部は、
     前記電流計測部により計測される電流値と、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別とを監視し、前記電流計測部により計測された電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合にリセット処理または電源オフ処理を実行する
     携帯電子機器。
  2.  不揮発性記憶部を更に備え、
     前記制御部は、
      前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合に、前記実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別を示す情報を前記不揮発性記憶部に記憶する
     請求項1に記載の携帯電子機器。
  3.  前記記憶部には、前記アプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値の他に、いずれの電流閾値よりも大きな値である過大電流閾値を記憶しており、
     前記制御部は、
      前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が前記過大電流値を超えた回数が所定回数に達したことを契機として、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムに係らず強制的に電源オフ処理を実行する
     請求項1または2に記載の携帯電子機器。
  4.  前記所定の回数は複数回である
     請求項3に記載の携帯電子機器。
  5.  前記記憶部には、前記アプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値の他に、いずれの電流閾値よりも大きな値である過大電流閾値を記憶しており、
     前記制御部は、
      前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が前記過大電流値を超えたことを契機として、リセット処理を実行する
     請求項1または2に記載の携帯電子機器。
  6.  前記制御部は、
      前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が前記過大電流値を超えた回数が所定回数に達するまで、前記電流値が前記過大電流値を超えたことを契機としてリセット処理を実行し、
      前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が前記過大電流値を超えた回数が所定回数に達した場合には、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムに係らず強制的に電源オフ処理を実行する
      請求項5に記載の携帯電子機器。
  7.  前記制御部は、
      前記電流計測部により計測される電流値が、前記複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値を超える状態を検出した場合に計時を開始し、当該状態が第1所定時間継続した場合に前記リセット処理を実行する
     請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の携帯電子機器。
  8.  前記制御部は、
      前記複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に異なる時間長を前記第1所定時間として前記リセット処理を実行する
     請求項7に記載の携帯電子機器。
  9.  前記制御部は、
      割り込み処理の発生を監視し、前記リセット処理を実行する際には、前記割り込み処理の発生が第2所定時間内不使用状態になった時点で当該リセット処理を実行する
     請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の携帯電子機器。
  10.  前記制御部は、
      前記複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に異なる時間長を前記第2所定時間として前記リセット処理を実行する
     請求項9に記載の携帯電子機器。
  11.  電池と、
     前記電池に接続されて、当該電池から出力される出力電流監視抵抗に流れる電流を計測する電流計測部と、
     無線通信を行う通信部と、
     通信部の通信を制御するアプリケーションプログラムおよび各種アプリケーションプログラムを実行する制御部と、
     前記制御部にて実行可能な複数のアプリケーションプログラム毎に設定される電流閾値を記憶する記憶部と、を備え、
     前記制御部は、
     前記電流計測部により計測される電流値と、実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別とを監視し、前記電流計測部により計測された電流値が、現在実行中のアプリケーションプログラムの種別に対応する電流閾値を超えた場合にリセット処理、または電源オフ処理を実行する
     無線通信装置。
