[Technical Field]
The present invention relates to a brick for a wall construction and a construction method thereof, and more particularly, to a brick having features of a mold form, which can be used as a mold form for wall construction, and a construction method of a wall using the same.
[Background Art]
When constructing a brick wall in the prior art, cement mortar is normally used to bond bricks by laying the cement mortar between the bricks so as to construct the brick wall. With this construction method, the cement mortar laid between the bricks with a certain thickness is exposed to the exterior of the wall, thereby defiling the beauty of the brick wall. In many cases, tiles can be used to cover the wall for a better looking appearance, but much higher budget is needed due to the working process of attaching the tiles on the wall and high cost of the tiles. Further, the attached tiles are sometimes cracked or fallen off from the wall, thereby defiling the appearance as well as increasing maintenance cost. On the other hand, a lot of houses using loess or yellow soil have been constructed since loess is good for human health. In this case, loess is used to form regular bricks and a wall is constructed by bonding the loess bricks using bonding material. Another popular construction method of a wall with loess is to fill loess into a mold form and dry it. However, these construction methods are difficult to do and the exterior beauties of the wall look bad in many cases.

Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior art, and one or more aspects of the present invention provide a brick having features of a mold form and a construction method of a wall using the same, wherein the brick can be easily used for a wall construction with solidity as well as low maintenance cost.
[Technical Solution]
According to an aspect of the present invention, the brick having features of a mold form may include a pair of panel-shaped wall parts formed at a regular interval; and at least one connection part interposed between and connecting the wall parts.
In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, at least the wall parts may be formed by bisque firing of soil. Each of the wall parts may have a glaze on at least one outer surface thereof to get the same effect as a tile.
In another embodiment of the present invention, each of the wall parts may be formed by uniting a first rectangular panel with a second rectangular panel having substantially the same shape the first rectangular panel so as to be misaligned from each other.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the wall parts may include fixing means for engaging the brick, in a fixed position, with a neighboring brick. The fixing means may include a protrusion or a corresponding groove formed on circumferential edges of the wall parts.
The connection part may be shaped as a stick connecting the wall parts. The stick may have a cross-sectional shape selected from the group consisting of circle, triangle, square, hexagon and octagon.
In addition, each of the pair of wall parts may have a pattern or various colors formed on at least one outer surface thereof. According to an aspect of the present invention, the construction method of a wall may use bricks having features of a mold form, each of the bricks including a pair of panel- shaped wall parts formed at a regular interval and at least one connection part interposed between and connecting the wall parts. The method may include a first step of laying at least one first course of the bricks in a row on a foundation of the wall, such that one end of the wall parts of one brick contacts the other end of the wall parts of another brick; a second step of filling soil into hollow cavities defined by the wall parts of the bricks laid on the foundation; a third step of laying at least one second course of the bricks on top of the first course of bricks laid on the foundation when the filled soil is hardened; and repeating the second and third steps until achieving an intended height. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the wall parts of each of the bricks may have fixing means for engaging the each brick in a fixed position with a neighboring one of the bricks, and means corresponding to the fixing means may be formed on a pillar in contact with the wall or a floor in contact with the fixing means in order to fix the each brick. In addition, the fixing means may include a protrusion or a corresponding groove formed on circumferential edges of the wall parts, and a groove corresponding to the protrusion or a protrusion corresponding to the groove may be formed on the pillar or the floor.
[Advantageous Effects]
According to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, since soil or cement mortar can be filled into the hollow cavities of the bricks having features of a mold form after the bricks are laid, a separate mold form is not required, and consequently the construction method is simple. Further, the construction method is simple since any bonding material is not required to bond the bricks. In addition, the aesthetic appearance of the exterior surface of the brick looks beautiful since bonding portions are not exposed and at least one exterior surface of the pair of wall parts can be decorated with a pattern or can be painted with various colors.
In the construction method according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, a strong wall can be constructed since soil or cement mortar can be filled mto the hollow cavities after the bisque fired bricks are stacked and dried. When one surface or both surfaces of the brick are glazed to get the tile effect, there would be no worry about the glazed tile falling off from the brick with low maintenance cost. Moreover, since charcoal, far-infrared ray material, and wormwood, which are good for human health, can be used to fill the hollow cavities between the bricks after being mixed with the soil, a green building, which is good for human health care, can be constructed.

FIG. 10 is an example of a wall constructed using the brick having features of a mold form, which has a further form of fixing means; and

[Best Mode] Hereinafter, the exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in greater detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a brick having features of a mold form according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a side view illustrating a brick having features of a mold form in accordance with the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a top plan view illustrating the brick having features of a mold form shown in FIG. 2. A brick 10 having features of a mold form in accordance with the present invention includes a pair of panel-shaped wall parts 11 and 12 formed at a regular interval and one or more connection parts 13a and 13b interposed between and connecting the wall parts 11 and 12. In this embodiment of the present invention, the pair of wall parts is formed by uniting the first rectangular panels lla and 12a with the second rectangular panels lib and 12b respectively to be slightly misaligned, in which the first and second rectangular panels are actually the same shape. At this time, the first rectangular panels and the second rectangular panels can be formed in the same order as the first rectangular panels lla and 12a and the second rectangular panels lib and 12b as in FIG. l(a), FIG. 2 (a) and FIG. 3 (a), or the first rectangular panels lla and 12a and the second rectangular panels lib and 12b can be formed as the mirror symmetry as in FIG. 2(b) and in FIG. 3 (b) .
Since the wall parts 11 and 12 are formed by slightly misaligning the first rectangular panels lla and 12a with the second rectangular panels lib and 12b, the positions between the bricks 10 of the present invention are not out of Line and firmly fixed together when laying several courses of the bricks 10 in a row. Consequently, multi-laying brick courses are easy job to do and the bricks can be laid in the right position, thereby firmly fixing together with the neighboring bricks after being laid.
In this embodiment of the present invention, the connection parts 13a and 13b are formed with a rod or stick shape connecting the pair of wall parts 11 and 12. The rod can have any cross-sectional shape selected from the group consisting of circle, triangle, square, hexagon, octagon and the like. Furthermore, the number of rods can be one or more than one. According to other embodiments, the connection part can be formed as a panel type with a through hole therein or another various types, each of which is connecting the bottoms of both wall parts 11 and 12.
The brick having features of a mold form 10 or at least the pair of wall parts 11 and 12 can be formed via bisque firing (i.e., first firing) . At least one exterior surface "A" of the pair of wall parts 11 and 12 can have the same effect as a tile by being glazed. Since the brick formed by bisque firing soil is porous and is strong enough to construct the wall, soil or cement mortar is easily dried and hardened when filled in the brick having features of a mold form 10. Besides, a green wall can be constructed since the main ingredients of the green materials can be released from the wall surface which is not glazed when the mixture of loess or yellow soil with green materials which are good for human health such as far- infrared ray material, charcoal, and the like.
The exterior of the wall parts can be decorated with various styles by bisque firing after decorating at least one exterior surface of the pair of wall parts with a pattern or painting a variety of colors thereon. For example, when constructing a Buddhist temple, all the walls can be decorated with Buddhist scriptures or a picture of Buddha by writing some parts of Buddhist scriptures or small parts of a picture of Buddha on every exterior surface of the wall parts.
FIG. 4 is a representation showing the construction method of a wall using the bricks corresponding to FIG. 2 (b) .
The bricks 10a having features of a mold form are laid in a row on a wall foundation 20 where a wall is supposed to be constructed such that one end of a pair of wall parts of one brick contacts the other end of a pair of wall parts of another brick (a) . As shown in the drawing, the brick 10a can be fixed by inserting protrusions on the bottom portion thereof into corresponding grooves in the foundation 20. In addition, although not shown in the drawing, the brick 10a can be fixed on a pillar by forming grooves on a lateral face of the pillar with a shape corresponding to the protrusions on the edge of the brick 10a. Next step is filling the hollow cavities of the laid bricks with filler 30 such as loess (yellow soil), cement mortar, and the like (b) . When the poured filler is dried and hardened after a certain period of time, another course of the bricks having features of a mold form are laid over the top level of the bricks 10a (c) , and the filler is filled again (d) . The wall can be constructed by repeating these steps until achieving an intended wall height.
In the mean time, while the filler was filled whenever every course of the bricks was laid in the example of FIG. 4, the filler can be filled after several courses of the laid bricks are laid instead.
FIG. 5 illustrates the constructing status during the wall construction method according to FIG. 4. Although not shown in the drawing, the bricks can be laid after connecting several rods between the floor, on which the wall is constructed, and the ceiling, or between the pillars in order to simplify the construction and enhance the solidity of the constructed wall. When the bricks are laid after the rods are connected to pass by the space between one connection part of a brick and the other connection part of the neighboring brick or the rods are connected to pass by the space between the connection part of the brick and the other connection part of a lower level brick, the worry about the wall falling down can be lessened while the bricks are being laid. FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the brick having features of a mold form shown in FIG. 1, wherein the middle portion of a wall part is separated and forms two small wall parts 12 and 12' . As shown in FIG. 6, the brick having features of a mold form can be modified into various forms depending on the usage of the wall. If it is necessary to install a power socket or a phone socket m the wall, or is necessary for the installation of lighting equipment, holes can be formed in appropriate regions of the wall parts or proper regions will be removed from the wall parts. FIG. 7 is a representation showing a further exemplary embodiment of a brick having features of a mold form in accordance with the present invention, in which FIG. 7 (a) is a front view, FIG. 7 (b) is a side view, FIG. 7 (c) is a front view showing a constructed wall using the brick, and FIG. 7 (d) is a perspective view of the brick. FIG. 7 shows an example in which the first rectangular panels 11a and 12a and the second rectangular panels lib and 12b are misaligned differently from the embodiment in FIG. 1. In FIG. 7, the first rectangular panel is misaligned with the second rectangular panel, thereby forming a substantially X-shaped configuration. When the brick is configured like this, the wall can be constructed as shown in FIG. 7 (c). In the mean time, although not shown in the drawing, the wall parts in FIG. 7 can be formed with a protrusion and a corresponding groove on either side thereof so as to firmly engage with the neighboring bricks.
Further, the wall parts can be formed with one panel instead of misaligning the two rectangular panels, and fixing means can be provided the right, left, top and bottom edges of the brick for fixed engagement with the neighboring bricks. As shown in FIG. 8, the fixing means can include a protrusion "C" or a corresponding groove "B" on the right, left, top and bottom edges of the wall part.
Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 9, a protrusion "C" or a corresponding groove "B" can be formed on each edge of the wall part. In this case, a groove corresponding to the protrusion "C" can be formed in a foundation or a pillar or a protrusion corresponding to the groove "B" can be formed on the foundation or the pillar, with which the brick will come into contact. In addition, the number of the protrusions or grooves can be one or more.
Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 10, bricks with only protrusions 10' and bricks with only grooves 10' ' can be prepared by baking and be alternately arranged used to construct the wall.
In the aforementioned descriptions, only the rectangular shaped wall parts 11 and 12 have been described as the exemplary embodiments. As an alternative, as shown in FIG. 11, in the brick in accordance with the present invention, the wall part can have other various shapes. For example, (d) , (e) and (f) can be used in the region for the power socket as well as the region adjoining a crossbeam. Of course, the wall parts can also be embodied with two pairs instead of one pair, thereby reinforcing the degree of strength.

Claims

[CLAIMS]
[Claim l]
A brick having features of a mold form, comprising: a pair of panel-shaped wall parts formed at a regular interval; and at least one connection part interposed between and connecting the wall parts.
[Claim 2]
The brick in accordance with claim 1, wherein at least the wall parts are formed by bisque firing of soil.
[Claim 3]
The brick in accordance with claim 2, wherein each of the wall parts has a glaze on at least one outer surface thereof.
[Claim 4] The brick in accordance with claim 2, wherein each of the wall parts is formed by uniting a first rectangular panels with a second rectangular panel having substantially same shape as the first rectangular panel so as to be misaligned from each other. [Claim 5]
The brick in accordance with claim 1 or 2, wherein the wall parts include fixing means for engaging the brick, in a fixed position, with a neighboring brick.
[Claim β] The brick in accordance with claim 5, wherein the fixing means include a protrusion or a corresponding groove formed on circumferential edges of the wall parts. [Claim 7]
The brick in accordance with claim 1, wherein the connection part is shaped as a rod connecting the wall parts. [Claim 8)
The brick in accordance with claim 1, wherein each of the pair of wall parts has a pattern formed on at least one outer surface thereof. [Claim 9]
A construction method of a wall using bricks having features of a mold form, comprising: laying at least one course of the bricks in a row on a foundation of the wall, each of the bricks including a pair of panel-shaped wall parts formed at a regular interval and at least one connection part interposed between and connecting the wall parts, such that one end of the wall parts of one brick contacts the other end of the wall parts of another brick; filling soil into hollow cavities defined by the wall parts of the bricks laid on the foundation; laying at least one another course of the bricks on top of the course of bricks laid on the foundation when the filled soil is hardened; and repeating filling soil into hollow cavities defined by the wall parts of the bricks laid on the foundation and laying at least one another course of the bricks on top of the course of bricks laid on the foundation when the filled soil is hardened until achieving an intended height.
[Claim lθ] The construction method in accordance with claim 9, wherein at least the wall parts are formed by bisque firing of soil .
[Claim ll]
The construction method in accordance with claim 10, wherein the wall parts of each of the bricks have fixing means for engaging the each brick in a fixed position with a neighboring one of the bricks, and means corresponding to the fixing means are formed on a pillar in contact with the wall or a floor in contact with the fixing means in order to fix the each brick. [Claim 12]
The construction method in accordance with claim 11, wherein the fixing means include a protrusion or a corresponding groove formed on circumferential edges of the wall parts, and a groove corresponding to the protrusion or a protrusion corresponding to the groove is formed on the pillar or the floor.
