Abstract

【課題】複数のコンテンツのデータにそれぞれ含まれる少なくとも複数の映像データを同時に効率良く伝送することができる送信装置、受信装置、通信システム、送信方法、受信方法及びそれらのプログラムを提供すること。 【解決手段】送信装置のスイッチ部32aは、送信データ制御部32iで指定された映像データに応じて、記憶装置42から供給される複数の映像データのうちの1つを選択して、これをIF部32bに供給する。IF部32bは、デコード部113でデコードされた映像データを端子335から送信する。スイッチ部32aから供給された圧縮された映像データを、端子336を介して送信する。端子335は、第1のチャンネル部に含まれる。例えば、IF部32bがHDMIである場合、端子335はTMDSチャンネル用の端子である。端子336は、第2のチャンネル部に含まれ、リザーブライン、HPDライン等に接続される端子である。
