Abstract

ECUの演算負担を低減しつつ過給機回転数を常時検出することが可能なエンジンを提供することを課題とする。複数気筒及びターボチャージャー7を備えるエンジン本体8と、クランク角センサー4と、前記ターボチャージャー7の回転をパルスとして検出するターボセンサー5と、前記パルスを任意の分周比にて分周して分周パルスとして算出するアンプ11と、前記ターボチャージャー7のサージ状態を判定するECU10と、を具備し、前記ECU10は、前記エンジン本体8のクランク角度における各気筒のピストン所定位置を分周パルスのカウント開始タイミングとし、前記分周パルスを前記分周パルスのカウント開始タイミングから所定回数カウントするまでを第一出力として出力し、気筒毎の前記第一出力の差が所定値以上であれば前記ターボチャージャー7はサージ状態であると判定するエンジン1。
