Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Schneidwerkzeug, insbesondere rotierend eingesetztes Schneidwerkzeug zum Bearbeiten von Holz, welches einen Körper mit einer zumindest in Bereichen einer Oberfläche des Körpers abgeschiedenen Beschichtung aus einer oder mehreren Lagen umfasst oder aus diesem beschichteten Körper gebildet ist, wobei zur Verringerung von Aufklebungen während eines Schneideinsatzes und zum Erreichen einer hohen Korrosionsbeständigkeit erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen ist, dass eine äußerste Lage der Beschichtung aus einem Oxid, Oxynitrid oder einem Oxycarbonitrid eines oder mehrerer der Metalle Titan, Zirconium, Vanadium, Niob, Tantal, Chrom, Molybdän und Wolfram gebildet ist.
