Abstract

 燃料電池システムの始動時間を短縮しつつ、燃料電池が起動不能である場合には二次電池の電力を使い切ることなく燃料電池システムを停止させる。制御部6は、イグニッションキーがONされた場合に、二次電池52に充電された電力に基づいて燃料電池2が起動するのを待つことができる待機可能時間を算出する。制御部6は、イグニッションキーがONされてから待機可能時間が経過するまでの間に、燃料電池2が起動しない場合に、燃料電池2が起動不能である旨を報知する警告ランプを点灯させる。一方、燃料電池2が起動した場合には、燃料電池2によって発電された電力および二次電池52に充電された電力を用いてトラクションモータ54等を作動させる通常運転を開始させる。
