Abstract

 超音波信号を伝搬する管を備えて電気的なスイッチ等を用いることなく操作者の操作位置を検出する操作位置検出装置およびその応用装置を構成する。  管(40)の側部に、操作者の操作によって選択的に閉塞または開口可能な複数の孔(41a~41e)を備え、一方の端部に超音波送受信器(50)を配置する。信号処理部(60)は超音波送受信器(50)を駆動して超音波信号を管(40)の内部に伝搬させ、孔(41a~41e)の閉塞/開口状態に応じた反射信号を受信し、この反射信号を基に各孔の状態を検出することによって操作者による操作位置を検出する。
