Abstract

プローブ5中央に送受信兼用の超音波探触子7を設け、この両側に送信用超音波探触子8と受信用超音波探触子9が対称移動可能に設けてある。プローブ5を診断対称部位の皮膚に当て、送受信兼用超音波探触子7によってプローブ5が診断対象に垂直に向く角度を求める。送信用超音波探触子8、送受信兼用超音波探触子7からの反射信号、及び左右の超音波探触子8、9の位置データに基づき、超音波探触子間隔における受信用超音波探触子からの信号の信号強度を演算装置16によって求め、その結果を表示装置14に表示することによって関節軟骨の硬さ、厚さ、表面状態が表示されるので関節にプローブ等を挿入することなく、関節軟骨の硬さ、厚さ、及び関節軟骨表面の不均一性や亀裂の有無などを診断できる。
