Abstract

 全方位において色つきのないニュートラルな表示と高コントラストを与える液晶表示装置を提供できる光学フィルムであってクニック欠陥を抑制した光学フィルム、該光学フィルムを用いた液晶パネル、および該液晶パネルを用いた液晶表示装置を提供する。  本発明の光学フィルムは、透明保護フィルム、偏光子、Nz=(nx-nz)/(nx-ny)で定義されるNz係数が1<Nz≦2の関係を有する環状オレフィン系フィルムからなる複屈折層をこの順に含み、該偏光子と該複屈折層が金属化合物コロイドを含有するポリビニルアルコール系接着剤を介して直接に積層されてなる。
