Abstract

 環構造を有するカルボン酸エステル系ポリマーから形成された硬質発泡体であって、環構造を有するカルボン酸エステル系ポリマーを加熱することにより、該カルボン酸エステル系ポリマーから気体の有機酸を生成させ、該気体の有機酸で該加熱されたカルボン酸エステル系ポリマーを発泡させることによって得られた硬質発泡体およびその製造方法。該硬質発泡体は、例えば、各種断熱材、各種防振材、各種吸音材、各種防音材などとして使用することができることから、自動車部品材料、航空機用材料、宇宙分野用材料、産業用材料、医療補助用材料などに使用されることが期待される。
