Abstract

 汚泥成分の伝熱面への付着による熱交換効率の低下が生じることなく、また、汚泥による流路の目詰まりも生じることなく汚泥を効果的に熱処理可能とする。  汚泥を反応器14により所定の圧力下で加熱して熱処理する。この反応器14による熱処理前の汚泥に対し予熱装置13で予熱を行う。この予熱装置13は、反応器14への汚泥の供給路上に連結された直接熱交換器部15と、反応器14からの熱処理後の汚泥の排出路上に連結された蒸発器部16とを一体化したもので、これらの内部は反応器14内より低い圧力に保持される。直接熱交換器部15に導入された熱処理前の汚泥は、排出路により蒸発器部16に導入された熱処理後の汚泥から生じる蒸気と直接的に接触することにより予熱される。
