Abstract

 薄膜太陽電池モジュールの信頼性、特に電気化学的腐食耐性を向上することを課題とする。本発明では、透光性ガラス基板の一主面上に形成された透明電極層、光半導体層および金属層の少なくとも一部を複数のセルに分離し相互に電気的に集積化してなる薄膜太陽電池モジュールであって、前記透光性ガラス基板の周端部における前記透明電極層、前記光半導体層および前記金属層が前記周端部から前記主面周縁に沿って0.5mm以上にわたって機械的にまたは光ビームにより除去されてなる前記透光性ガラス基板のガラスが露出した周縁露出部を備え、少なくともこの周縁露出部に絶縁コーティング材とその上に封止充填材を備える、薄膜太陽電池モジュール、によって解決する。
