Abstract
波長変換レーザ装置は、レーザ光を出射するレーザ光源と、レーザ光を反射する2つの反射面と、2つの反射面間に設けられ、レーザ光を波長変換光に変換する波長変換素子と、前記レーザ光を集光して反射面間に入射させる集光光学系とを含み、レーザ光が波長変換素子への入射角を変化させながら反射面間を複数回往復するようにレーザ光の光路を変化させると共に、反射面間でレーザ光を集光させるように、2つの反射面の少なくとも1つは曲率を有しており、反射面間を複数回往復するレーザ光のビームウェスト位置を波長変換素子内で点在させるように、集光光学系が配置されていることにより、波長変換素子の破壊や波長変換の不安定性を回避し、高出力の波長変換光を得ることができる。
