Abstract

本発明の目的は、パイプ(40)と被接合部材(45)との接合装置(30)において、厚さの異なる複数個の被接合部材を接合可能な汎用性の高い接合装置及びこれを用いた接合方法を提供することにある。 接合装置(30)は、楔孔部(11)を中心に周方向に複数個のダイセグメント(2)に分割されたダイ(1)と、マンドレル(20)と、を具備する。ダイ(1)の各ダイセグメント(2)は、マンドレル(20)によってパイプ(40)の半径方向外向きに移動されることにより、パイプ(40)のエキスパンド加工対象部(41)をエキスパンド加工するものである。ダイセグメント(2)は、パイプ(40)の2箇所の所定部位(41b,41b)のうち一方の部位(41b)を押圧する第1押圧凸部(4)を有する駒部(3)と、他方の部位(41b)を第2押圧凸部(7)を有するダイセグメント本体(6)と、駒部(3)とダイセグメント本体(6)とを分離可能に連結する連結手段(15)と、を備えている。
