Abstract

 本発明は、大きなコントラスト比を達成できる表示性能に優れた液晶パネル、さらには大きなコントラスト比とともに低カラーシフトを達成できる表示性能に優れた液晶パネル、該液晶パネルの用途に好適な、面全体において高度に光学性能を制御した液晶パネル用光学フィルムセットを提供することを課題としている。  本発明の液晶パネルは、環状オレフィン系樹脂からなり、R0(550)が15~70nmであり、かつ、Rxz(550)が150~300nmである光学フィルム(A)および偏光子(i)を有する偏光板(A)と、  R0(550)が50~150nmであり、かつ、Rxz(550)/R0(550)が1.2~1.6である光学フィルム(B)および偏光子(ii)を有する偏光板(B)と を有することを特徴としている。
