Abstract

高速炉(1)は、冷却材が収容された原子炉容器(7)と、原子炉容器(7)に収容された炉心(2)と、炉心支持板(13)と、反射体(4)と、反射体(4)の原子炉容器(7)側を取り囲んで配設され冷却材の流路を形成する隔壁(6)と、隔壁(6)の炉心(2)側または原子炉容器(7)側のうち少なくとも一方を覆うよう配設された熱遮蔽体(40)と、中性子遮蔽体(108)と、を有する。熱遮蔽体(40)は隔壁(6)に取り付けられる。熱遮蔽体(40)は、金属性の熱遮蔽板(40b)と、熱遮蔽板(40b)に内設された断熱材(40a)を有し、内部に不活性ガス(40c)が封入されている。熱遮蔽体(40)によって隔壁(6)の断熱性が向上し、隔壁(6)の炉心側と原子炉容器(7)側間の一次冷却材(21)同士の熱交換を抑制できる。
