Abstract

 従動プーリ4の可動シーブ4bを固定シーブ4a側に付勢するばねと、可動シーブ4bを固定シーブ4aとの相対回転によって固定シーブ4aに近付くように押圧するトルクカム機構14とを備えたベルト式無段変速装置において、その従動プーリ4の可動シーブ側ベルト溝側面24及び固定シーブ側ベルト溝側面23での各ベルト接触位置が半径方向で異なった場合でもトルクカム効果を有効に発揮させてベルト5のスリップを防ぐために、従動プーリ4のベルト溝4cの可動シーブ側溝側面24のうち、速比が1.0になるときのベルトピッチラインの位置よりも半径方向外側にある外周部24aの、プーリ回転軸線と直交する平面に対するベルト溝面角度θ1を、半径方向内側にある内周部24bの上記ベルト溝面角度θ2よりも大にし、その外周部24aのベルト溝面角度θ1と内周部24bのベルト溝面角度θ2との差を0.4°以上でかつ1.4°以下とする。
