Abstract

　本発明は、レンズにおける局所的に大きく変化する誤差の有無やその誤差の程度等を容易に評価する方法を提供する。本発明のレンズ評価方法は、まず、眼鏡レンズの実測度数分布に基づいて、複数の測定点の任意方向の度数分布を得る。次に、設計上の度数分布である計算度数分布を作成する。更に、実際の度数の分布を示した実測度数分布と計算度数分布との誤差分布を得る。そして、誤差分布を微分して誤差指数を求め、この誤差指数をもとにレンズ内に局所的に大きく変化する誤差の有無やその程度を評価する。
