Abstract

 疎水性樹脂基材と、有機染料を含む配向層と、を備える積層体の製造方法であって、窒素濃度80%以上の雰囲気下で、前記疎水性樹脂基材の表面をプラズマ処理する工程(1)と、前記疎水性樹脂基材のプラズマ処理した表面に、リオトロピック液晶性を示す有機染料と親水性溶媒を含む溶液を、塗布し、乾燥することによって、前記有機染料を含む配向層を疎水性樹脂基材に形成する工程(2)と、を有する。  本発明の積層体の製造方法によれば、疎水性樹脂基材表面に溶液を略均一に塗布でき、欠陥の少ない良好な配向層を形成することができる。
