Abstract

　本発明は、抑うつ気分やうつ状態の改善、とくに女性の更年期の抑うつ気分やうつ状態の改善に有効に使用できる新規化合物および抗うつ用組成物を提供する。本発明の化合物は、下記一般式（１）：（式中、Ｒ１およびＲ２は、同一または異なって、水素原子、ヒドロキシ基、またはアセチルオキシ基を意味する。また、ｎは２～７の整数である）で示されるカルボン酸、またはその薬学的に許容される塩若しくはエステルであり、これを抗うつ用組成物の有効成分として使用する。当該化合物には(2E)-9,10-ジヒドロキシ-2-デセン酸、(2Z)-9,10-ジヒドロキシ-2-デセン酸、(2E)-9-ヒドロキシ-2-デセン酸、および(2E)-7-アセトキシ-2-ヘプテン酸が含まれる。
