Abstract

 本発明は、強度変調光信号と位相変調光信号とが混在する波長多重光通信システムにおいてXPMによる伝送品質の劣化を抑圧させるための光伝送装置であり、波長多重光信号として多重可能な光波長の波長軸上の配置において、強度変調光信号の波長の近傍であって、前記強度変調光信号の強度変化が反転された強度パターンを有する光を強度反転信号光として出力する強度反転信号光出力部(11-3)と、前記強度変調光信号および前記位相変調光信号とともに、該強度反転信号光出力部からの光を波長多重して出力する波長多重光信号出力部(13)と、をそなえたことを特徴としている。
